Here are some minis from the Bones Kickstarter V campaign. After Christmas, I was finally able to get some paint on some minis, and have a productive month. #1003 #1013. I love the expression on this guy. It looks like he's not impressed by whatever he's hearing. #1026. I tried a different recipe for painting his red cloak. I like how it turned out.

Hello everyone, here are pictures of 02909, Nienna the elf ranger sculpted by Werner Klocke. I use that model in our still postponed D&D sessions. She's an half-elf named Vadariah. She had to flee her native village with her mother when it was attacked by Orcs. During their adventures, she became a very versatile young woman. She began her journey as a ranger and later became interested in stealthiness and sorcery. So, she's now a multi-class character; 3rd level ranger, 3rd level lightbringer rogue and 2nd level sorceress. Her familiar is a hawk, flying somewhere in the blue. I hope you'll enjoy.

To change from fantasy, I wanted to do a quick paint of a Chronoscope mini in Bones. According to the store, it is "Frank Buck, Adventurer". I like the sculpt and its likeness to a very famous archaeologist / adventurer in the movies. My goal was a quick & simple paint job and nothing fancy for the base. The problem was that the mini was badly bent at the ankles making it lean forward a lot and no boiling/cooling was able to fix it. So, I still had to re-base it, and got a bit carried away in the re-basing process which yield to this mini vignette: "Heading into the Jungle" The tree and base texture was made with Scupley and lichen. The car is a Tamiya model kit of a Russian field car.

Eando Kline Generic Adventurer! Eando is a static posed classic character who could be any one of a number of classes in your RPG. I've been looking to do a WIP for a while now but couldn't quite think what to do. So, after going through my collection of oldies, I decided to give this a crack: This was an old set of D&D Dungeon Adventurers by Citadel Miniatures & contained 8 character class minis plus a treasure chest. I started painting these many, many, many years ago but didn't get very far & never quite finished, as this pic shows....... also, whilst rummaging through my oldies, I found the partner set: which contains these D&D Monsters: and they go together, so I guess I'll have to do them all...... I am a very slow methodical painter & speed painting is unknown to me so if you're interested in following this to see how it ends, you may want to prepare yourself for a long haul! Comments are always welcome, many thanks!

hey , i would like to get a comparison scale for Franck Buck with some of the most common 28mm on the market like Wargame Foundry, Crusader, Artizan, Coppelstone, etc... The main problem is the scale different between several miniatures in the Reaper range. For example, the dwarfs, when you have to mix them with other manufacturers is sometime difficult. thank you for your interest regards Eric

This is Robert of Carlistle Wall from Red Box Games and I'm quite happy with how he turned out. He's one of the RBG miniatures that I've been intimidated into not painting. But since he's apart of my 2015 goals I forced myself to begin. He's one of many Aenglish (the fraction) minis I'm set to paint and I hope to reuse the paint scheme to create some cohesion between the miniatures. I'd like to thank Marsya for tips on the color scheme.

I’m working on finishing the rest of my Otherworld dungeon adventurers before the last part of the Indiegogo campaign and next in line was the Male Human Illusionist. There’s parts of him I’m pleased with and some I’m not. I could have worked more on the “skirt†and the face didn’t come together. On the other hand the figure has lots of small nicknacks that came out quite nicely.

So I've got Christmas Eve off, so stayed up a bit later than normally to finish up this guy's base. This is Ivar the Barbarian Adventurer, another Chris Jackson figure that was sculpted I think after Ral Partha became Iron Wind Metals. So for me this figure is significant mostly because it's the thirtieth figure I've painted this year, which means I've been able to average slightly more than a figure every other week. This will probably be the last one I finish this year. I may get something started over the next few days, but I'm pretty sure my next figure will belong to 2015. I'm giving a front and back view of this one because he's got a shield to show off, plus he's just got the craziest shorts that an adventurer could hope for. Anyhoos, enjoy! I'm not even actually that disappointed in my metals this time, so who knows I'm either making some kind of progress or just becoming apathetic. Merry Christmas everybody! Mark
