I think this is my favorite sculpt (at least top 5). I’ve had it for quite some time now but for whatever reason it never got to the front of the line. Recently I thought “what the hell” and put him into the paint queue. I have been struggling for quite some time with trying OSL. Every attempt ended with me calling it quits and discarding that element from the paint scheme. This is the second one that I decided to keep (the first one is the two skulls from the bones cultist circle). I’m really happy with the overall result.

Once again I'm trying to pull myself out of a painting slump (this one stretching for most of the year). I recently attended my first paint workshop. While I mostly learned how much I have to learn, and that air brushes are pretty cool, I did rekindle some of my desire to paint. And in an atempt to keep it going until the holiday break I thought I'd try a WIP thread. I've been holding on to the brigands from Red Box Game for some time now... so no time like the present. First up (actually second...) is Smarty Sean. And his hood going from highlighted then shaded (first pic) to mostly done

My version of Llwellyn Softstrider from Red Box Games. A great sculpt as all other minis in the RBG range. I rushed some parts (the varnishing among them) as I wanted to get it ready for the next weekend but still he turned out nicely.

This is Robert of Carlistle Wall from Red Box Games and I'm quite happy with how he turned out. He's one of the RBG miniatures that I've been intimidated into not painting. But since he's apart of my 2015 goals I forced myself to begin. He's one of many Aenglish (the fraction) minis I'm set to paint and I hope to reuse the paint scheme to create some cohesion between the miniatures. I'd like to thank Marsya for tips on the color scheme.

While Red Box Games is my favorite miniature line the trend is that I just buy the miniatures without painting them. Frankly because they scare me. The detail is smaller than what I'm used to and I'm afraid to screw it up. It's much easier to pick up and paint other miniatures because it doesn't really matter as much if I do screw them up :) But every once in a while I do gather enough courage to pick one up and finish it. I painted this one because of the same reason I painted Birgir. I was going to participate in a DnD one shot at the local gaming store. I didn't know if it would be usi
