  1. Was asked by mods to start this Air Brush thread to be pinned and I'll keep it up to date with links/tutorials as we go along. Keep the chatter/off topic to a minimum please. Feel free to add links/websites/tutorials/videos/books/articles in this thread and I'll compile them here in the first thread post (just no commerce links per Forum rules). Here we go! VEX Part info Reaper VEX Videos: Ed Pugh, Disassemble and reassemble the Vex Aaron Lovejoy's First impressions Getting to know your vex, with Aaron Lovejoy The Crow's Nest #15 - The birds flew off with the New Reaper Ve
  2. These were made by me out of fimo air (I have recently strated making these whenever I have leftover clay from my other sculpts, which is always ). They are super quick and simple sculpts but I like them. They were actually painted by my sister and I think she did a lovely job. I apologize for the flash in advance, I just didn't menage to set the lighting right so their faces can be seen
  3. Another that I have been working on. Enjoy edit: So I have to admit I got a little exited playing with new toys last night and rushed the picture process. But I just wasn't happy with how dark they turned out. After another read through of the Miniatures Photography 101 I think I did a much better job today. Now You can see all the detail good and bad! I had some focusing issues trying to get them both in one shot, so I have a shot of each instead.

I originally primed with Tamiya White Fine Surface Primer, thinking it would help. It seemed to come out VERY hydrophobic. Then I proceeded to paint the whole thing with Shadowed Stone. What a nightmare. The paint wanted to bead up with any degree of thinning. It took about 4-6 coats to cover. I went up to Pure White through the Stone Grey Triad using 50/50 increments. Each was about 3 layers per mix to get the blending. So,
  5. I rebased the lesser elementals (Reaper 2538) that I painted up several years ago. While doing so, I also gave them a touch-up paint job, the fire elemental got his flames reversed in several places for instance.
