Right, so this is probably a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it anyways, because, well, I'm uncertain. So a week ago, I purchased the D&D/Army Painter Monster Paint Set. Fantastic set, contains more paints than I'll need ever for a decade for a year for an undetermined period of time. Anyways, this set came with three washes - Shadow Wash, Flesh Wash, and Brown Wash. As recommended by several other painters on a different post, I decided I'd use these premade washes rather than the thinned-down paint I had been using in the past. However... I doubted, and now I'm uncertain. After a quick google search, I'm even more confused as I saw contradictory answers, and answers that weren't really answers. I know I'm being irrational, but do you use these the same way as thinned-down paint (applying to the miniature after it's been basecoated?), or do you use it some other way? Again, stupid question, but as they say, it's better to be safe than sorry. Thanks!

I've only used Army Painter strong tone - their medium tone, I believe - to paint my Zombicide: Black Plague minis and loved how they came out. I automatically dismissed the possibility of using it on my other minis, but now understand that's what it's for. Anybody have any experience with using it on other monster or hero figures? Were you satisfied with the results? Did you use a version other than the strong tone? I note their website lists recommendations for different colors where each tone excels, etc. I'd love to hear of others' experiences with using it on non-zombie figures.

After watching Sorastro's Zombicide painting videos, I had to give Army Painter's Strong Tone a try. Here are the results. I didn't spend any time highlighting after the strong tone, except the hair. He he reminds me of the opening scene of Walking Dead with the solitary zombie walking through the fields.

Hey folks! If you have seen my current WiP, you know that I am painting 15mm Armor for a friend... He sent along the Team Yankee paint set that Battlefront puts out, though the paint is made by Army Painter, and while the rattle cans are fine, the bottled paints leave quite a lot to be desired.... They are very thick when they come out of the bottle, separate very quickly, and take a loooong time to mix up. When it gets thinned, it starts turning translucent very very quickly. The one shade that was included in the set, (I suspect it is a 'soft body black') is fine on the other hand... So I am wondering what other peoples experience with Army Painter products has been... ( I know what is being said on the FoW forums, and it isn't pretty....) Thanks! Gorge

I have tried painting a figure using the army painter soft tone and Matt spray. I picked a figure which was detail heavy and the nose was missing. What do you guys think? Any advice is good advice lol

Hey there everyone! I am looking for a possible alternative spray paint for priming my miniatures that is comparable to the Dragon Red spray primer from the Army Painters line of sprays. If anyone has a favorite, tried and true, or just effective red primer of similar color that they could relay to me; I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. -Fitz
