The humiliation! He had shaved off his hair, braided his beard and headed for the mountains, he would show them! Brunhilda would certainly change her mind when he would bring back a Troll's head and her brothers wouldn't make fun of him then! There! Just a little below him he could see it! A large Troll! Gripping the twohanded axe he had inherited from his father he let out a warcry and attacked!!!! ******************************* Trogg casually walked back to the Horde munching on a dwarf's leg. You could find yourself rising from the snow, still covered in blood from both your enemies and you, a strange voice in your head just gives you a command and you have no choice but to follow the orders. You stumble forward, raising your sword, you try to understand the situation but can't think straight, then you get a view of the enemy, the order is clear and you move forwards hacking the enemy to pieces, it's a shame though that they're your former friends, somehow you no longer care. ********************

All printed on my Elegoo Mars. ****************************** Many an enemy soldier won't believe his eyes when he sees this naked beauty running at him in this freezing cold. Waving a banner with an unholy rune on it, wielding a dagger dripping with poison, how can she stand the cold? Many a soldier will die before he learns the answer. The Horde follows the banner, nothing will stop them. She's protected by ancient magic shielding her from the cold and from enemy arrows, every kill she makes is in honour of the Gods of the Tribe. So after a substantial break from painting I purchased a new toy….a resin 3D printer (as I don’t have enough unpainted minis). So far I have enjoyed printing some minis even though my favorite will always be pewter. My first choice to paint of the batch I printed to knock off the rust was this pretty lady Nihae. I printed her at 87.5% as Artisan Guild is too large to suit the rest of my collection. She is about the size of a standard reaper mini printed at this scale. I printed some ferns and quickly put her on a base so she is ready to hit the table sometime soon. C&C welcome.

Oh well, another mini done, not my best stuff but her she is anyway.

Printed this out a while ago and made a base for her with the Greenstuffworld Cobblestone Roller and a twig. The primer came out a bit chalky will try to remedy that. But for now I've basecoated her boots. Leather can be a bit rough so it's alright.

This is the "Soul Stealer" bust from Artisan Guild's welcome pack on patreon. I printed it on my Elegoo Mars Pro resin printer. This might be the first bust I have ever painted, not counting an Orc bust from the very early days of Forge World that I started but never finished and sold off at some point in the distant past (oh, the Folly of Youth). So why this newfound fascination for busts? I hear you ask. Well, it's the RCL again. "Bust" is a quarterly category, and since Reaper only make a very few busts, none of which are readily available at the moment (there will be a few released after Bones 5 fulfills later this year), the fine folks at Reaper have decreed that bust entries are not limited to Reaper product. Did I mention that the RCL has been a fun way to choose what to paint? It really helps to keep things fresh and to motivate to finish the pieces I start. And now also to paint other stuff than I usually would. I do not buy busts as they are generally outside my scope of interest. However, I do own one or two busts as .stl-files that have been parts of patreon bundles. And with such an extensive library of files at hand, once I decide to do one, it does not take long to make supports and print one off. But what to choose? Tentacle-face or a human face? Do you want to know more?

Be afraid, very afraid, this place is not ruled by Men, be warned when you see the first signs of Snake statues and other signs of worship of Apophis! The first people you meet might look human, but on closer inspection you'll notice the strange eyes, the forked tongue and sometimes the scaled skin. When reaching the Capitol it will be too late. The Serpents and Snakepeople of Stygia will either devour you or enslave you. RUN! I give you Queen Sthenaria the Evil ruler of Stygia. ( Pictures below in the Temple of Apophis Photoboard I built)

After 10 months, I finally dusted this off and finished it in an attempt to find some hobby mojo again. Dragon is from Artisan Guild and was printed on the elegoo Mars almost a year ago. Basecoated, drybrushed tan and then multiple washes layered before another quick drybrush and a final wash. It was printed in clear green resin and the eyes and crystals on the rock were simply given a layer of Tamiya Clear Green after the mask was removed. Crystals on the base are from Anarchy Models, again with a quick layer of Tamiya Clear green. Reaper base with some Vallejo texture paste. Thanks for looking.

In a previous post I mislabeled Aline the Bold also from Artisan Guild as this model so here is the actual Sony Jona. I had a happy accident with the teal cloth. I was painting in bad light (tsk tsk) and ended up mistaking silver on my palette for white. By the time I realized my mistake I was mostly done with the skirt but upon reflection (no pun intended) I thought it didn't look half bad and sort of fit the personality of the figure. The other thing I realized too late is that the base is designed so that the scroll and bottles snug up to her right foot. I realized this as I was painting the base at the end. Since she was pinned and glued in place so she remains.

Abyss Demon this one came as a sample for presupported minis without his hands, so I printed two claws from the Death Tide Jurakin Set and upscaled those to 125% to fit the Demon. He's part of my Horde of the North Project. Led by the mighty Mumlak all barbarians, beastmen, orcs and trolls join the Horde. The Horde grows, sometimes a group gets impatient and infighting is common, Mumlak cares not. There are enough warriors to conquer the Realm of Men. A Shaman has performed a dark ritual and summoned a demon to join their cause. Full of rage the clawed abomination enters the mortal realm, ready to kill. Amused Mumlak watches the scene, wondering if the shaman will be able to control the demon.
