The latest MODULAR DIGITAL BATTLEMAP expansion seeks to take the Meanderverse back in time and underwater to the glory days of this technological legend some say was a paradise - others a ferocious war machine. Dock at the Port, stroll through the Atlantean Water Gardens and explore the alien wonder of this mystical city on dry land - and then again after a cataclysm sinks it beneath the waves. Preview the campaign HERE. Launches July 21st on Kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gametilewarehouse/meanders-5-rpg-modular-digital-battlemaps-atlantis

This is from Atlantis Miniatures dwarf Kickstarter - I painted him a while ago but only just got around to getting the photos off the memory card. The red hair took a few attempts, doing my best to follow Marsya's tutorial. My first attempt at tartan as well, and I think it was successful! And I've got lots more of his dwarven buddies on which to improve!

I have a copy of the Disney movie "Atlantis: The Lost Empire." It's not a very good movie. But I love the LOOK of the film -- the steampunk submarine, the strange, alien yet shamanistic lines of the lost city and its crystal-based technology and so forth. Still have all the little die-cast fish vehicles that came out around the time the movie was released. http://floobynooby.blogspot.com/2011/10/disneys-atlantis-concept-art.html They hired Mike Mignola ("Hellboy" creator) to do the concept art. Amazingly, his style and feel very much comes through in the finished film. I'm glad; I'm a Mignola fan from way back, including his non-Hellboy stuff; he did a four issue "Fafhrd and Gray Mouser" series that's still the best graphic adaptation of the stories ever done, far as I know. LOVE me some concept art.
