Since no ever play a bard when I'm a DM, I really haven't gotten to know this class. My current character is a Chaotic Good (Dispater) teifling bard. She has a high charisma & is kinda of a smartbutt when it comes to interacting with people she doesn't really care much for (which is most people). While browsing the 3rd level Colleges for pregens in the past, none really have stood out for me. Thus now that it's time for to actually choose & play, I'm kinda lost for which one is decent. I've read that Swords is really good, but my character avoid melee combat as much as possible. Currently I'm thinking about Whispers, as it kinda fits her as she is not your typical tra la la bard. I'm not really sure if I like the 3rd level ability (being able to frighten someone is a good ability but it's done outside of combat & I've got to speak with the person for a minute before it happens. That would be handy for role play situations at least. Any points, tips on the other colleges?
