  1. Presenting Blunderbuss, an Urchin and part of the Dickensian faction from the game Twisted by Demented Games. Had this one sitting around half finished for a while, but I'm pleased with how she turned out. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. When the Space Pope absolutely needs someone to die very publicly and messily, he calls upon the services of a Mother Superior. One woman armies with no regard for the collateral damage they cause, towns, cities (and, according to legend, the occasional planet) are reduced to ruins as the Mother Superior single-mindedly pursues her target. Often the eternal struggle to protect Mankind from the Horrors that lurk beyond the stars requires subtlety, but occasionally, you want to send a stonking great message about the consequences of meddling with things you don't understand. Presenting a Mother Superior (AKA Morvenn Vahl, a hero from Warhammer 40k's Sisters of Battle faction), a terrifyingly unstoppable force of divine judgement. Bit of a mixed bag this one, I'm happy with a lot of it, but some bits could be better (like the terrible job I did on her face). At least she's finally done now. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  3. So I put this guy together today and painted him o.O bit of a quick job for me but he was really fun to paint. Still working on taking better pictures sigh. I was trying to get a good shot of his shirt because I did a little cute thing on it. But his arms kinda cast a shadow on it. Anyway, hopefullly it's still recognizable
  4. Presenting the Cyborg, a soldier re-engineered to fight in battlefields that would be lethal to a normal man. Really, he's a paint scheme test for my small band of Skitarii Rangers from Warhammer 40k. Came out pretty good too, even if I did utterly fail to paint him up as grim and gritty as I wanted (apparently that's just not how I paint). As always, any comments and criticisms are warmly received.
  5. A bit rough, both on the paint and the sculpt. First time using scenic grass... it's interesting. Herringbone twill and heterochromic hazel eyes were both fun to paint; new things you can do at large scales. Comments and crit appreciated!
  6. Primed and ready to go. Rough spots here and there but... it's too rubbery to sand. Ah well. Just need to become a better sculptor I guess.
  7. This is Reaper's 50287: Caine, Cyber-Troll, a design-your-own mini designed by Wayne Reynolds and sculpted by Bobby Jackson. It came in two parts, which fitted together neatly at his wrists and the shoulder point of the strap. They were rather bulky and I felt better using pins to hold them together. The base supplied was too small for Caine's wide stance, but I hear Reaper is working on that. Meanwhile I used a larger round base and painted it up to look like asphalt. The WIP thread (which also includes a number of old school Ral Partha Shadowrun figures) is here. Show-off threads for the other Shadowrun figures are: a Troll woman from Wolfram's Gang, a Wolfram's gang troll with tattoos, an ork woman street samurai, an Oni bouncer, a cyber-troll in reflective armor, and the unbelievably over-the-top Lord Torgo. You can see the entire squadron of cyber trolls on Jasper the 2nd's Spaceship Superstar - Squad Entries thread.
