This minis was a kickstarter exclusive from the Mantic Kings of War second edition campaign in 2014. "Blaine" is a Mantic mascot of sorts. and there has been a version of him in all their own IP kickstarters apart from the vey first Kings of War. So here is him as the Fantasy Tyrant King. A resin special mini, there were some problems with delivery and I heard several backers never got their Blaine for some reason or other. I have not really had any delivery problems to speak of from any of the many Mantic kickstarters I have backed, and I obviosly got my Blaine with my shipment at the time. I used a bespoke 3D printed 25x50mm oval base, In retrospect I probably should have gone with a slightly larger base as it does seem a little small. Hi all, To start of the year well, I decided to clear some of my primed but not yet painted minis. Here are 2 variations of Blaine (Mantic's mascot) I got from Dungeon Saga and KoW rewards. The version on foot was not very inspiring... but the mounted one was really fun (what is not to like to have a predator looking guy riding a dino!). For the dino, I tried something a bit different from my usual paint job and started with a 2 tone base coat (green an yellow) that I then covered all around with a camo green wash. This one might be my new favorite mini.: They just don't make guys like this anymore. He does not bleed. He does not have time for such sissy things. He chews tobacco a box at a time.. In fact, he's so much of a sexual tyrannosaurus that he had to be mounted on the base of a friggin' horse. Although, I do not remember the name of his weapon.. I do remember the sound it makes when it takes a mans life. This is Sergeant Blaine Cooper, along with his trusty side-kick, bringing the payback.:
