A conversion using a first-edition metal dreadnought and a second-edition metal Keeper of Secrets. Lots of greenstuff, superglue, paint, time, effort and swearing, but I'm happy with it. The dead Blood Angel is just to fill some space.

Hi Gang, Been a while... this project took some time. The shoulder and knee pads were a lot of "cut and paste" (read kitbash). This isn't strictly the "Emperor's" lore, but I'm just a painter so I do whatever I like. I've also been a bit obsessed with fluorescent paint lately, and the plasma gun got the full treatment. In the end I didn't try pushing this project further as I was just running out of gas. Perhaps I could have left it on the "shelf of aging" for a while and come back to it, but in the end they made a sweet squad that I'm pleased with. See the sides, back and all that. Here. Thanks for checking it out, HMP

I started this project almost 2 years ago and have worked at it on and off since then. Recently I painted the last three, and the difference is pretty awesome, I'm pleased with how I've progressed. Now it's down to the finishing touches...

I feel that there’s little reason to deny that the primarch miniatures that Forge World has released are some of the best minis ever sculpted for Games Workshop. Unfortunately, I lost the pictures we took of the first primarch I had the opportunity to paint, but I got good pictures of this one. This is Sanguinius, one of the most powerful and loyal of primarch, despite his rather obvious mutation.

This is a 3rd party resin mini that I painted up to be Sanguinius. I've forgotten who makes him (any help there'd be appreciated). Anyway, here he is:

Well, I posted up my squad Lorenzo as I painted them up. But when I finished off Squad Gideon, they didn't get photographed right away. So, here they are. I had a bit of a block going into this set, as I wanted to have something subtle show the difference between the two squads, without making them look like they were from a different chapter. In the end I chose to make all of the jewels a different color (Lorenzo's squad has blue jewels, rather than the green ones here). Also, I updated my Librarian Calistarius. I had originally painted him with metallic metals, and without dark lining. Last thing I did on the set was paint him in Non metallic metals to match the rest of the Space Hulk set.
