  1. #100: I based the colour schemes on classic Robin Hood. But I made them darker. As these guys are bandits, not social workers. Take from the rich (or whomever is travelling through the forest) and give to themselves. One of the three bandits from the Bones 4 core set. These are actually in a similar style as (albeit these are slightly more robin hoodesqe than) the four bandits in the Bones 3 Stoneskull expansion. There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening... 7. #143: "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. —Where be your gibes now? Your gambols? Your songs? Your flashes of merriment that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now to mock your own grinning? Quite chapfallen? Now get you to my lady’s chamber and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favor she must come. Make her laugh at that.—Prithee, Horatio, tell me one thing." -Hamlet in Hamlet, Shakespeare AKA Mavaro, Iconic Occultist, sculpted by Bobby Jackson Size does matter. Well. Scale does matter. 11. Good day everyone, here are some pictures of my latest Dungeon Dwellers sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I painted 07008, Luwin Phost the Wizard Reaper’s MSP acrylic paint, I shaded with Citadel inks, sealed with Vallejo Acrylic Matt Varnish and 3D printed the base. It was a very fun model to work on, with all the right gear for the adventure.
  12. Hi everyone, here's another Dungeon Dwellers model. 07012, Caerindra Thistlemoor was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I painted it with Reaper’s MSP acrylics, shaded with Citadel inks, used Vallejo Acrylic Matt Varnish and 3D printed the base. Her left eye is not as sharp as I'd like it to be, she seems to have a black eye, I will need to fix this.
  13. Hi everyone, here's 07002, Baran Blacktree, Veteran Warrior sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I painted it with Reaper’s MSP acrylics and shaded with Citadel inks. Also, I use Vallejo Acrylic Matt Varnish for the first time on this model. I like that varnish, it's perfectly flat and don't add any artificial reflection. I 3d printed the base to match with the tiles on the diorama it will eventually be displayed on.
  14. Hi everyone, some of you may have recently seen this guy lurking in the shadow of an alley. 07004, Stitch Thimbletoe the Halfling Thief sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I painted it with Reaper’s MSP acrylics and shaded with Citadel inks. I use Vallejo Acrylic Matt Varnish and the base is 3d printed.
  15. Finished up the Farmer NPC from Bones 4 today, and I have to say he is the most peasanty looking peasant that ever peasanted, I bet he didn't even vote for the king. really happy how he turned out and was a fun paint
  16. Plonking away a the Bones 4 core set, this is number 5: I am not a number! I am a free man! The metal version of this is called Ankoa, Barbarian Hero. He has a really small head compared to most of the other minis. I expect he is not too bright. Probably not destined to bear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. There's a new playah in town! Come get some! B4Core #5 Barbarian from the Bones 4 Core set, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Made in Bonesium PVC 30mm base
  17. Hello forum family, wanna show you my last work: Sister Hazel. Was aiming to a realistic look, she came out cartoonish (as always)... Had some problems painting the bottles and had to paint it twice cause at first I've inverted the shadows and it looked like Windows XP desktop image -.- Still no good, but at least it look like bottles Same problem with the googles. I'm happy with the blood splat and the dirty look, that's probably the only part I'm happy with. Anyway: Every advise is suuuuper welcome (please!)
  18. So I have finally painted my first Bones Black figures, Juliana the Herbalist and it really was a very nice experience, far better than painting the normal Bones white squishy material. The detail is far crisper and cleaner and this figure was just really nice, not really a warrior or adventurer running around with sword or staff, just hanging out in her garden. Those two little balls on her sides I thought originally were hedgehogs, but I think they must have just been pine cones. Anyway, enjoy!
  19. In the grand scheme of things, this Ogre Palace Guard proxy for Kings of War Vanguard turned out to be a Half-Ogre Fighter when I googled it. Number 4 on the Bones 4 core set graphic, but no official code as of yet. B4Core #4 The casual, brute strength on display straight-arming that shield like that! As you can see, I had problems with the gradient on the shield. Not really satisfied with that at all. He is about the size of an older style Ogre. I rebased him on a 40mm round I printed out. The armour is thick, and the shield is broad. Weak at the neck, and under the arm ...and behind the legs! I wonder if the upper parts of the chest, between the plackart and the gorget, are meant to be bare flesh and not armour? It would probably look wierd if I painted it like that though. B4Core #4 Half-Ogre Fighter Reaper Miniatures, Bones 4 KS 2017 Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Bonesium PVC. 40mm round lipped base should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future
  20. Mat and Pat of the City Guard. Or whatever Reaper calls these minis. So far the only names I have for them is Bones 4 Core set #14 and #15. STOP PRESS: Upon actually checking the internets, it seems that they are already available cast in metal, and called "City Guard (2)". A no brainer, really. They are quite obviously just that. I think I should have done the edging on the lower parts of the tabards differently, the blacklining did not turn out well at all. Looks better unmagnified IRL though. 'Alt raht there Guv'ner. You're not gettin' in 'ere dressed like that! B4Core #14 and #15 City Guard Reaper Miniatures, Bones 4 KS 2017 Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Bonesium PVC. 30mm round lipped base should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future
  21. It's all finished. The grass came in, and I finally finished the sword to my liking. For more pics click here. Thanks for looking, HMP
  22. B4core #1: This one was a bit of a struggle as I foolishly started from a black undercoat and later decided to do the tabard and shield in white. Bad Idea! Especially when I accidentally managed to paint a black line on the finished white shield....argh! seven coats of white later is can still be seen, albeit faintly. I am not entirely happy with the results around the sheild design, which ended up less sharp than I would like. This is also the same shield design as on the Bones 3 "crusaders" subset and also on Sir Justin Forscale, so apparently they are members of the same knightly order or follow the same deity. There exists a metal version of this minis called "Ava Justinia, Female Templar" Reaper Miniatures, Bones 4 KS 2017 Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Bonesium PVC. 30mm round lipped base should be available from reapermini.com some time in the future
  23. Finishing up the Goblins from the Bones 4 core set. click for close ups and all that
  24. I took this picture last night while I was fooling around with recently painted models. It's firecracker time! 02771, Lorus Firecracker sculpted by Sandra Garrity vs. 89031, Whispering Tyrant sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The 77531, Graveyard Fence Posts are also from Reaper and were sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. The skull I added on the post is from the 02611 Skulls of 8 races package sculpted by Sandra Garrity.
  25. Good day everyone, here is my take at 89031, Tar-Baphon the Whispering Tyrant sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The 77531, Graveyard Fence Posts are also fron Reaper and were sculpted by Bob Ridolfi.
