Finally got around to taking some good pictures of my MSP painters entry this year. I got a ton of comments on it at the con and thought I'd share here too with some better pictures. This is the Dino Riders figure from Bold Miniatures. I absolutely fell in love wit them when I saw the first preview renders, and I was very happy to finish them up.

I still don't have a great photography setup, so despite efforts, this is fairly washed out (pinks in the cheeks aren't as apparent as IRL, and the hair is dulled in the photos). But until I can get figures in for a photoshoot with a friend, these will do. Sloppy selfie with the inspiration for the figure setup, before I try to dye my hair back to normal. Been teal for 9 months now, and I miss my blonde. I painted the figure roughly as myself, instead of with ideal artistic combinations. The patch on the back isn't really the coolest, but that's our work group's logo (and a diagram of part of my PhD research). So it is a personal design, distinctly not artistic. Also dragon instead of weasel.... heh. Project was part of the Season 3 for the Vancouver Mini Painting Club TADA.

Just finished up Garrick the Bold. Painted with Army Painter matte black undercoat, dry brushed Necron Compund then finished off with Reaper HD paints. Basing done with the Army Painter basing kit. Pay no attention to my paint fingers. comments and critiques always welcome.

I decided I need a Sir Forscale. The Bones version of Bobby Jackson's Garrick the Bold, AKA a dozen other things. I kept it as simple as I could with him, which, for me, is quite simple. He's retroactively become a candidate for my "first mini to cut off bases after painting to stick to another base" project, though. Don't know if that'll actually happen, in any case. Thanks for looking! Any input you have is welcome.
