  1. I've been trying to tick off some of those D&D Monster Manual entries, and painted up a bunch of large beasties. I kind of speed-painted these (spent a bit more time on the Oni), but am pretty happy with how they turned out. Feels good to produce stuff for the collection. The Brass Bull is from Reaper of course (the Bones variant), the four-armed ape is from Bombshell Miniatures, whilst the Iron Golem, Stone Elemental and Fire Elemental are all from Otherworld Miniatures and the Oni is from Zenit Miniatures. They're all really cool minis I think. Anyway, hope you like em!
  2. BOMBSHELL BABES 2!!![/center] About this project The Babesâ„¢ are back!We bring you a whole new set of fantastic female character models suitable for use with all manner of tabletop Wargames and RPGs! Although we're using a term like "Babes" to describe the line, these characters are much more than a label. The concept is something retro and nostalgic that is intended to evoke images of famous paintings like J. Howard Miller's "We Can Do It" and Rockwell's "Rosie the Riveter". Why return to Kickstarter? We have all of the models shown ready to go into production, but molding and mastering, and casting runs are expensive. It would take longer for us to raise the funds to put these models into production over time than if we ask for funds to make a collection of them at one time. We want to get these models out to you as soon as possible, and Kickstarter can make that possible. This funding campaign will be a shorter two-week run so save your pennies and get ready for the finale at 10:00 PM CDT Friday, September 28th. THE BABESâ„¢ We have a fantastic list of classic character archetypes as well as new characters from many popular genres including Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Steampunk, Weird War, Pulp and more for the core set as well as numerous stretch goals. Care is taken to size the figures so they are compatible with other models from the most popular manufacturers within the 30mm range of heroic sizes. Babesâ„¢ are cast in the finest lead-free pewter to assure as much of the detail of the original sculpt is preserved. All models are supplied unpainted and some assembly may be required. 11. First up, Victoriana from Bombshell miniatures. I want to thank those who gave me advice in this thread http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/50314-bombshell-victoriana-need-color-advice/?hl=victoriana. Obviously I went with purple dress in a muddy outdoorsy scene. Then I finally managed to finish 2 mouslings that had been sitting there almost completed since 2011.... Finally some speedpainted bones, less than 2 each on paintjob for vampire chick and innkeeper, about an hour for miss strumpet. Edited to add SKU to title and added more tags Thanks for looking!
  12. So here I am trying to get 20 miniatures painted again this month. Things will probably be easier when the Bones KS arrives, what with Rats and Skeletons and other easy to paint fast miniatures hitting the shelf of shame then. 13. So this here is my first foray into metal miniature painting. I started painting sometime around the kickstarter last year. I initially did my Castle Ravenloft game pieces (plastic) and have done a bunch of Bones since then. This was also the first time I did a WIP. This was a challenging miniature for me. The sculpt is of great quality and I wanted to do it justice. Overall, I'm happy with it, but still see areas for improvement, and I can't help but nitpick my own stuff. The face (eyes in particular) never quite got where I wanted. She's just not menacing enough. However, this was great brush control practice, and I already have a few ideas on how to improve my eyes and face work next time. I was worried the freehand woad markings on her skin would be a disaster, but they turned out to be quite easy, thanks to tips I picked up somewhere on these boards to mix your tattoo color in with your skin color. I'm very happy with the way the skin and sword came out. Thanks for looking, and as always, comments/suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
