A sweet sculpt that goes well with reds and whites. Maybe an esoteric flavor of Coptic nun; maybe a volunteer nurse; certainly here to help and to give evil a headache.

I've only been at this a little over a month and am totally addicted! Went for the glowing eyes here and botched it -- Don't know how you expert painters paint son damn small!

Here is the Dragonborn Sorceress from Oathsworn Miniatures for "Heroines in Sensible Shoes" Kickstarter as Mutilated, I mean Painted by me. I tried to make a kind of Burn Scar Effect and Failed dismally I admit. I do like how the Torch Flame came out though. And now that I think on it, I should have posted this in the Work in Progress section, too. GF

Picked up some Hordes minis cheap and thought this guy would make a fun monster for my players. Came out a bit glossier than I intended. Put on some matte sealer on after the gloss, but I think I oversealed it. The white markings are supposed to be tendons and ligaments. A friend pointed out that it looked like it had outgrown its shell, so I was trying to make it look like raw, exposed muscle. The bones are done with a simple bone color, followed by a wash, then highlighted and finally given an edge highlight. It doesn't show up so well here, but there's a fair amount of Blood For the Blood God slathered around on the red bits. The basing was done with oxid paste, painted and highlighted, and done up with a little static grass and some swamp tufts. Not sure what stats I'll give him, but it should be a fun fight.

Presenting a full set (plus pin-up) of Lion Armour wearing Survivors from the Kingdom Death: Monster game, there's a small WIP of them here. I kept the painting on them very, very simple as I'm not one of life's natural batch painters, plus I'm a bit so-so on the minis themselves (personally I would've preferred a set of nice monopose ones to represent each armour style rather than these very manikin-like multipose kits). But seeing them in a group like this, they don't look that bad. Any comments and criticisms are, as always, warmly received.

Working at this guy...getting kind of frustrated with him, so thought I'd post for opinions i'm going for a grungy, 'just got out of the grave' dirty look for him. He will have trees growing out of his back. Going to add more roots in his ribcage his base is in the mail and should be in soon

I don't really know. But, I had an idea for a diorama for next year's R-con. Basically I took a skeleton dragon and put it in a swamp. It's rising out of the swamp, and the swamp and the mud is still attached to some of the wing. I don't know is it a bad idea?

This guy reminds me of something out of Evil Dead. He's probably the scariest of the Devils/Demons. Something unsettling about skeletons.

And now presenting the dancing bone golem doing the moonwalk across the dungeon floor. With a knee made out of a bird's skull. And a long tounge. Just a quick washing/drybrushing for a very weird Ral Partha sculpt. Enjoy!

So here it is! Pics of all the conversions my husband and I did this weekend! This will be my WIP for painting them all! Some of the pictures are truly terrible and I will take better ones tomorrow to replace them. But this is a teaser for now. In a later post i will try to break down what is in each conversion =P In order of the pics below: First and second area goblin archer riding a spider and a mage that I went all out to convert and modify. She's got so many different parts! Third picture is a hybird of two different lizard men, and the barbarian that was on the goblin archer's new base that I decided looked really good on the treasure chest Fourth is my husband's three conversions [he was very excited to finally get a mini dual wielding tridents] Fifth is our Bones giants from the converting the undead bones giant. Mine is the one on the left [with Spirit of hte Forest branches growing out of his shoulders and two heads!] Sixth is one I'm proud of, done this morning while sleep deprived and feeling nasty....a unholy mash up of Nethyrmaul and Cthulhu! I went a step past what was asked of us and did a head and arm transplant as well as wing transplant [since no one was using their arms...and they're both right arms BTW! and there was ONE spare head laying around]

I'm sure it's been asked and answered, but I can't find it. How do I paint a realistic looking skeleton using Reaper paints obviously. And also, I have a few werewolves, and I can never get that cool looking claw look. I figured it must be closely related to how to paint a skeleton.
