  1. Painted this guy up pretty quick on the Hangout the other night. Not the greatest paint job ever but for 2 hours total, I think I did a decent job. Amusingly (at least to me) I keep forgetting that I haven't actually painted his hair. But I think it looks decent as is so I left it alone.
  2. Another one I spent time on playing with the greyscale + glazing technique. A little bit better with the shadows and highlights compared with Mason Thornwarden, but still not perfect. I also got ticked off with the attempt at brass - it ended up being too thin to be useful in some places and also completely overwhelming the highlights & shadows and then I gave up on the sword, but since I'd already done a semi-NMM on the blade I decided that was good enough. Beautiful pose, would love to try her again at some point when I have more patience.
  3. This one took a little longer. As usual, I got a fair way into it and realised I'd messed stuff up and then had to go back and fix stuff. So, y'know, good times. Pretty typical for painting. A lot of it was done with the greyscale+glazing technique (that I'm pretty sure has a name that I've totally forgotten) but I keep forgetting to push the highlights really high and the shadows really deep, and this one was especially bad for that. Still came out half-way decently.
  4. Painted this one a little while back and never got around to finishing up the base. That's done now, so here she is! (Another relatively quick paint - probably 2 hours total, if that)
  5. This guy came from the 3rd Dwarven Forge Kickstarter project. He got painted up in the space of 2 hours or less. Fun little mini to paint, just enough detail to be fun but not enough to get tedious.
  6. I've got this ranger on the go and I'm trying for a deep red cloak. At this point I've got no clue if it's working so I figured I'd toss a picture up here and see what you folks suggest.
  7. Hey look I finished him! Or her. No offense to Bathalians but I can't tell the difference and don't much care. Anyway. Not the greatest paint job ever but I think it came out pretty decently, and by my standards it actually went really quick. Probably under 4 hours total. Comments and criticism appreciated, as always.
  8. One of my current projects. The picture's showing me some ugly details, but that's hardly surprising. Lots of work left to go. My thought on the cloak is to mix Viper Green with the base of Vallejo Dark Sea Blue (the way I mixed Dragon Blue with Dark Sea Blue for the robe)... I suspect it'll look a little weird but I want this guy to end up looking a bit weird... As long as he doesn't actually look bad I'll be OK with it. Any thoughts or suggestions? Edit: Show-off!
  9. :bday: Happy Birthday :bday: Hopefully the B'day cake WON'T be smothered in Maple Syrup !
