https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/the-thing-with-the-ring/description Robbits (the nickname for Urban Halflings) are a small mischievous folk with an uncanny habit of ‘finding’ ancient relics of vast and horrifying power. In this case, a troublesome Ring, belonging to an evil wizard called Nörmün. Nörmün has sent his Goblins to retrieve the Ring, even as the Wizard Gudgrief tries to form a Party of Dwarves, Elves and Robbits to take the Ring away on a Quest. But the reluctant Robbits know that nobody ever comes back from Gudgrief’s Quests, so the Dwarves are forced to Press-Gang and the Elves to Enchant them out of their Pits to join the Party. However, Robbits are innately ‘Tricksy’ and will use Magic and Excuses to avoid going on the Quest. Only one Robbit will live to tell the epic tale of... Our card game is a parody of Epic Quests in roleplaying and fantasy fiction, where brave heroes would normally gather together to find, destroy, or hide the 'McGuffin'. Robbits however, want nothing to do with it, and must use Magic and Excuses to avoid going on the Quest, all the time dealing with troublesome Dwarves, Elves and Goblins. This game contains, 100 fabulously illustrated cards, a rulebook and a die. The card game is for 1-6 people (and is also a solid two player game) and games are incredibly varied. It is ideal as a warm-up or filler for game evenings or just some interactive fun with friends. It is a fast-paced game, typically taking 30 minutes or so. Once again we have a beautiful die produced by Q-Workshop for the Battle Die. The Battle Die is used to resolve Battles in the game, the outcome of some events and Enchanting Elves. The Robbits are also available as minis, in Midlams classic style, and they're also adding in 'The Book of the Dead' a 9minute card game in some of the pledge levels. They're only at 70 backers and 400% yet, so there's still room for a few more backers...

Hello folks! AngerSmash will be launching in Kickstarter on September 15, 2021 and you may now follow the project with this pre-launch link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/uncreatedspace/angersmash-a-game-making-fun-of-your-anger But before launching on Kickstarter, I wanted to get some pre-feedback on the game box design that we've come up so far. Please refer to the photo below. We'd love to hear your thoughts! Thank you so much! 🙂 (August 27) Edit: Just finished reading the guidelines, so far I think I might not be violating any rules, except for the gif photo that I've posted here which I've taken down and replaced with a non-moving png 🙂 If I did misunderstand the guidelines please let me know so that I don't do this again. Thank you so much! (August 26) Original: Hello folks! I'm not sure if this post is allowed and if it's not, I can remove it right away. 🙂 Just wanted to ask for feedback on the box design of a game that I'm currently developing. Hoping to hear from y'all, most of you guys are pretty experienced in board/card games. Thanks so much! 🙂 Gonna leave the Kickstarter project page link here as well as the Instagram link AngerSmash | A Game Making Fun of Your Anger https://www.instagram.com/howamiweirdgames/

From the creators of Cyanide & Happiness comes a card game where players compete to finish an awful comic strip. Link.

There is only one thing to say: up to 1,040 cards to unlock, all shipped in one box. A complete, non-collectible, card game. Style: deck construction with Role Play. You are a Hero, that can be equipped to increase its characteristics and...fight to win. It is funded already - on the way to unlock the Stretch Goals. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/278128858/warage

Hi everyone! We wanted to share our Kickstarter with you all and get your thoughts and feedback! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/effwords/effwords-the-game-of-effed-up-words EFFWORDS: A Game of Effed-Up Words EFFWORDS is sort of like Scrabble, but here's the catch: Players can only play fake words that they make up! One player, known as the judge, uses letter tiles to create a fake word, and the other players anonymously submit cards with definitions to define the word. The judge chooses the best definition for the fake word, and the player who submitted that definition earns points. Think Scrabble meets Cards Against Humanity! How to Play Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS9M_8IcHDc Print-and-Play You can try out the game using a rough sample of the print-and-play version of the game: Print-and-Play https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-NnGtHNBhsIXzRMT0JpVEZJRlk/view?usp=sharing Printing Instructions https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-NnGtHNBhsIYjFUa195bXBmaXc/view?usp=sharing Rule Book https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-NnGtHNBhsIbUJnTkhkZURfMU0/view?usp=sharing Graphic Design We have about 95% of the graphic design finished for the game, and you check out out some of that on our Kickstarter. Thanks so much! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, questions, and comments. The EFFWORDS Team

The Kickstarter for Boss Monster II: The Next Level went live yesterday. I meant to start a topic when I got home, but was too tired after work. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brotherwise/boss-monster-the-next-level Boss Monster is a card game inspired by the classic video games of the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, you take on the role of one of the titular boss monsters and build a dungeon with cards, using monster rooms, trap rooms and such to try to kill the heroes that you lure with the treasure that is included in the rooms. the first boss to collect ten hero souls wins (some "epic" heroes are worth 2 souls), though you have to watch out for those heroes that get through the dungeon as they deal wounds to your boss, five wounds and you are dead. Strategy and fun abound in this game.

I looked and couldn't find one so I figured I'd start a thread for the Boss Monster app. They are releasing it on iOS and android. And you can get the exclusive backers only cards in digital form from their first kickstarter in your game. They are even offering a pledge level that gets you the physical game and it's first expansion as well as the app. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brotherwise/boss-monster-dungeon-building-card-game-for-ios-an

Did anyone nab this at GenCon? I heard there is a solo mode, and I'm always on the lookout for cool solo games ( ).

Got this idea for a game based upon building monsters. Now, there is not enough of it yet to even try out a game, but there are a few things I would like some help with. One is a company to make the miniatures. Now, Reaper is a great company for miniatures, I think we can all agree, but I was looking to do more interchangeable parts for the monsters that get built instead of having the monsters be built once and that is it. Sorta like those toys that come with multiple hands so you can switch out whether their hand is holding something or is open. I was planning on the monster building being done in multiple stages. First is the torso selection since that would be the heart of the monster, so to speak. Then heads, arms, legs, special. Torso: Provides the number of slots available for the other parts, health, and base stats. Example: Dragon Torso provides one left arm, one right arm, one leg set, one head, one special. Another example would be a centaur torso, which provides two leg sets, one right arm, one left arm, and one head. Leg set: Provides speed and dodge modifiers. Arms: Provide attack modifier Head: Provides intelligence modifier and senses. Intelligence is how many actions the monster can take and senses are something I may not implement because it may make the game too complex. Specials: Would provide something extra. Like wings, a shell, tentacles, invisibility, etc. I was planning on the stats being on cards that could be used to randomize the monster creation process with the cards. For combat, I was thinking a d10 based system where success is determined by seeing if you are within some sort of threshold. So, for most actions that require a die check, you would be trying to roll either above or below a certain number (not sure which way to go at moment). For some, the d10 might activate different side effects. Like if an attack was similar to the prismatic spray from D&D. I was also thinking of including an elemental system: Yellow: Electric/Fungal Green: Plant/Mammal Blue: Water/Fish White: Air/Bird Black/Brown: Earth/Insect Red: Fire/Reptile I think that is most of the stuff I have written down at the moment. Other than some of the "base" monsters. Base monsters being what I base certain parts off of.
