  1. Starting on November. Turvyn, Ghostwalkers, 30095. This is my duo for the month. I’m thinking dark: grey, brown. The accents will be the stole and sword and gems with a ghostly blue/aqua. And very pale skin. Like someone who’s always out at night, and picked up a ghost touch sword and armor.
  2. Reaper Challenge League 2022 1) Intro 2) How It Works 3) Types of Challenges 4) The Raffle PDF Check List Discord Intro: Welcome to the Reaper Challenge League (RCL), a system that rewards fans for completing community-based events and challenges. This will all be conducted via the Reaper Miniatures Discord, where there is a system in place to track points and administer raffles easily (see below). THIS IS NOT A CONTEST ----- This is meant to be a challenge against yourself to see what you can accomplish, not a contest to compete in against other people in the community. So enjoy your time in creating stuff and have fun doing it with everyone else! Only Reaper minis will be accepted except for in the Freebie/Bust categories. You can use any paints for submissions, the only exception is the Limited Palette challenge. How It Works: Users can submit photos of RCL projects on the #submissions area on Discord and receive points depending on the tier of challenge. These points can then in turn be used to purchase raffle tickets which will be drawn quarterly, with a large annual raffle at the end of the year. Only Reaper minis will be accepted for submissions, except for in the Freebie/Bust categories. You can use any paints for submissions, the only exception is the Limited Palette challenge. Each quarter, a RCL raffle shall be held during the last seven days. This ensures that people have ample time to enter tickets or finish any entries so your points may be exchanged into tickets. On the last day of the quarter, the raffle will be drawn, and winners posted. At the end of the year a larger raffle will occur that accounts all accrued points points you have earned yearly (spent and unspent). Terms and Conditions may change at the discretion of Reaper Miniatures at any time. Type of Challenges: All entries must show some sign of trying and not just throwing paint on to get some quick points. In keeping of the spirit of the league, challenge yourself and see what you and others are capable of. The amount of points that each one challenge will grant are in the () below, as well on the PDF for the 2021 chart. Reaper Challenge League PDF The Raffle: The raffle will happen the last 7 days of each quarter, This will ensure that people have ample time to enter their tickets or finish any entries they need to complete before drawings. Tickets will be pulled on the last day of each quarter! This will all be done on the Discord server, as we have a bot that is programmed to keep track of members points and how many tickets they have. We will use this bot to open the drawing and for you to enter and participate with the system. The drawing will stay open for one week before doing the drawing on the last day at a set time! Thank you, the team! Reaper Challenge League PDF Frequently asked questions Q: I am just wondering if one model can be turned in for two different categories? A: In the spirit of the challenge, we would like it if you submitted a different model for another challenge. As this isn't a contest and meant to get people hobbying. 🙂 so you would just be doing yourself a dissatisfaction!!!!! Q: Since the Reaper Discord moves so insanely fast, how will winners be notified? A:There will be a channel that is static that is read only, for raffle winner and other announcements. Q: Will the raffle draws be things that can survive through colder climates when shipped? A: Not to sure on the exact prizes but this ties into your third question, I can hold things for you if cold climate is an issue and ship it at an opportune time. Q: For the Quarterly holiday - what are you looking for for Q1? Like would just, any winter/snowy model be ok, or do I need to figure out what a MLK day themed model would be? 😜 A: The rules are very loose, as this is not a contest and is meant for you and others to hobby!!!!!! So if you think its a holiday or a special day? By all means paint something and present it under that challenge category, as long as you spent time and effort into making it, I will recognize it. As an example if you wanted to paint something that was for your birthday! i'll count that! RCL 2021 udated list! - Sheet1.pdf

  5. I should have started this at the beginning of the year but a few months late is better than never. I've been working on getting stuff together for Q2 and some things for the rest of the year. For the quarterly stuff I'm going to continue to work on Grimtalon...that I don't think I have a WIP thread for and my large group has settled on doing a townsfolk theme and I'm doing the Fishwife from Dreadmere in Bones 4 KS. I have a diorama in the works but I really don't know if I'm going to finish it this quarter. My list for April: Theme: (Vampire): Jahenna, Female Vampire (77669) Limited Palette: Purple, Orange, Pink Styx Purple, Fire Orange, Runic Glow Giant Frog (44024) Player Character: Lysette, Elven Mage (Bones USA (30001)) Monster: Gulper (44038) Duo: Cyclops (77705) Trio: Merowyn Lightstar (77675) New Release: Darius the Blue (Bones USA (30002)) Freebie: D’Tenian, d10 (77647) Will get some photos up soon.
  6. The challenge is 30 minis in 30 days (not necessarily 1 mini each day.) I've been prepping a few figures each week since August, and this year's theme is Science Fiction: Team Terminator: XairBot (Small) 49012 XairBot (Medium) 49013 CyberReavers I (2) 50354 CyberReavers II (2) 50355 CyberReaver 845 Enforcer 847 Team Survivor: HESCO barriers (2) Starship Generator 80053 Tess, Adventuring Heroine 49020 Slade, Cyborg Hero 49018 Nova Corp:Female 80013 Nova Corp:Soldier 80012 Terrain: Gothic Tank Traps/objective markers (2) 3d printed scatter terrain Crates (Large and Small)(2) 77248 Jersey Barriers (2) More Stuff: IMEF: Reggie Van Zandt 80017 Viceroy Enforcers (3) 30029 Starship Generator 80053 #2 Obligatory Fantasy: Cats&Catacombs Dreadmere wight 44022 Benedict Baker dark elf w/bow 1128 Liriel Silverlocks 2458 DGS games female Not shown: Blood Nebula Mercenary 49017, Power Generator 72611 (2)-- still in blister packs. That gets me to 30-ish, depending on whether I count things like the barriers and crates as single pieces or not. Still working on getting the last few pieces washed and primed and identified.
  7. So, for October this year I'm going to attempt to paint a mini a day. This will take the place of Minivember probably from now on. November's have just become too busy for me to feasibly paint everyday. This will be called All Minis Eve! I am currently in the process of making an advent calendar for October. I'll post how I'm doing it and progress, I hope to have it done before October so I can kick things off this year. How it works: I have tons of minis laying around so unless you want to or don't have enough (is that a problem around here?) minis you won't need to buy any (unless you want to). You will need 31. Once the calendar is assembled 1 mini will go in each felt pouch and you pull one out each day then plan, prep, and paint it. You have that one day to do it. Midnight to midnight. I will not get to pick out my own minis as I will have my Husband do it so it'll be a surprise each day. To start I bought: Spooky spider web fabric Adorable ghost ribbon (1.5") Tan felt (three 9"x12" sheets) Black felt (three 9"x12" sheets) Fabric glue I also have handy: Sewing needles Orange thread Fabric tape measure Ruler Scissors Fabric pencil Pen/Sharpie I don't yet have a dowel and ends for it or photo transfer paper. I will edit the above later if I've forgotten anything. Some pictures of materials: Plans: Above is a rough sketch of what the layout will be like. I have cut the tan felt into 33- 3"x3" squares and a 3"x9" rectangle. I will take 1 yard of fabric and affix the squares with fabric glue and sew them on as well for extra hold. I will leave several inches free at the top to put the title which I will cut out of the black felt. I will use a piece of ribbon to underline it and then put the squares below.
  8. Congratulations, by opening this forum post, you have received a quest! This quest is a challenge created by the combined forces of @Sirithiliel the Queen Tiamacrab, a Wizard Most Wild @Pezler the Polychromatic, and myself – @Cyradis the Questgiver. The challenge is this! Paint a small dragon, letting the dice control the colors! The Rules: Post in the WIP Forums “_Your Pseudonym_ is taking the random rainbow dragon challenge!” or “_Your Pseudonym_ has accepted the d20 rainbow dragon quest!” something to that extent. Select a figure from one of the following: Stormwing (from Bones III), Kryphrixis (from Bones III), Deathsleet (77110), or Ebonwrath (77102). You must select the dragon BEFORE rolling for colors. Take a photo with the figure and a clock as proof of order of operations. Roll for colors! Use a d20 and a photo, or an online dice roller with a screenshot as proof of rolling. Or have a fellow forum dweller vouch for your rolls. Use the Color Chart below to determine what the color is that you rolled. There are three rolls. Below is an online dice roller. Most keyboards have a PRT SCRN button that can take a screenshot for you. Then you can paste the photo into Paint to save. I'm sure there are better methods, but that works for me. https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm The first roll determines what your primary base color is. That must be the dominant color on the figure. The second roll determines your secondary color. It should be the second color that catches the eye, and second most prevalent color on the figure. The third roll determines your miscellaneous color. This should be most of the accent colors that you use, and third most prevalent color on the figure. You might need to order paint or go to the FLGS after rolling if you don’t have a given bottle – we’ll be patient and wait for you. If you can’t get a bottle of one of these colors, here is a spreadsheet with equivalent colors from different brands. If you really can't get them, use the closest thing you got to your rolls (let us know what they are please). https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xl-x9eW3bLw5eqDeNUG2JUwn2EZwn34TDKfNIg5uul4/edit#gid=5 Number Reaper # Color Name Color Description 1 9004 Fire Red Bright red 2 9134 Clotted Red Dull red 3 9218 Lava Orange Volcanic orange 4 9201 Orange Brown Dull orange 5 9009 Lemon Yellow Bright yellow 6 9227 Brilliant green Bright green 7 9035 Olive Green Olive dull green 8 9017 True Blue Bright blue 9 9231 Heather Blue Dull light blue 10 9023 Imperial Purple Deep purple 11 9026 Violet Red A very misnamed color; somewhere between burgundy and magenta. Not violet. 12 9262 Blush Pink Very pink 13 9029 Earth Brown Generic brown 14 9122 Terran Khaki Light brown 15 9263 Mint Green Bright pastel green 16 9089 Cloudy Grey Generic grey 17 9077 Marine Teal Teal, blueish 18 9074 Palomino Gold Earthy gold yellow 19 9037 Pure Black Super black. Critical threat! 20 9039 Pure White Super white. Critical threat! You are allowed to use whatever colors to shade and highlight that you want, as long as the rolled colors are obvious visually.* Example: you can shade a red dragon with purple, brown, or black, but it must always appear as a red dragon. A white dragon shaded with grey must appear as a white dragon, not a grey dragon. You are allowed to use colors outside the ones that you rolled, but they must not take up more visual surface area than any of the others.** Example: your pink, green, and gray dragon is allowed to have bone-beige teeth. The proportions of color on the figure can be however you want, as long as the 1st roll is dominant, 2nd is less, 3rd is less, and anything else smaller. Example: 70% pink, 15% green, 10% gray, and 5% anything else. Or it could be 50% pink, 25% green, 15% grey, and 10% anything else. The tidbit colors are fine wherever, as long as they are minor. Paint your dragon according to the rolls plus your tidbits. Even if it is outrageous. The goal is to make the dragon look as awesome as possible without the benefit of planning color themes. You can add spots, stripes, eye-spots like moths have, or nothing. This is the base challenge. Star 1* You may decide after your initial three rolls to limit your shading colors to your rolled colors mixed with pure black and white. You may still use tidbit colors. Declare this if you go for a Star 1 challenge! Star 2** You may decide after your initial three rolls to not use colors outside of your rolled ones and shading colors (so no tidbits like beige teeth, only 3 visual colors shaded however you want). Declare this if you go for a Star 2 challenge! Star 3*** You may decide to do both the Star 1 and Star 2 challenges, using absolutely nothing but your three rolled colors, plus black and white for shading. If you do this, you are allowed to use the white for areas like teeth and eyes that could be really weird otherwise (or not - up to you). Effectively, you have 5 colors to work with only, and three of them must be the majority (in decreasing order of prevalence). You gotta be nuts! There is no time limit on this. However, if the WIP photos stop showing up at a normal rate and there’s never a Show Off thread, the forum dwellers may gently poke fun at you for adding this to your Shelf of Shame. Post to the Show Off forums with a “_Your Pseudonym_ has completed the random rainbow dragon challenge!” sort of title upon completion. Brag about your awesome (or hilarious) dragon. Win all the internet-points. Receive experience and praise. Thus shall end the quest. Once the first Random Rainbow Dragon has been completed, we will start up a group Show Off thread to compile all of the dragons in a great flock of rainbowy goodness. 9. Please use the full SKU and name of Reaper minis in the titles of your Show Off threads, per forum guidelines. You can find this information on the blister card or in the online store. I also like to give credit to the sculptor in a tag, so people can find their favorites. We have a high volume of posts generated from this challenge, which is great! But it's also creating a lot of work for the mods. Ladystorm has already urged folks to comply with these guidelines. As an works well, this challengehas been moved to be a bi-monthly challenge again. The longer time frame theoretically will give less stress to painting, and allow more complex jobs, and more sinister challenges. FAQ Reaper only? - No. If going on vacation, can I paint a mini(s) ahead to cover that time frame? - Yes. Are speed paints acceptable - Yes. Can it be a mini started previously? - Yes. Based or unbased? - Yes. Do minis for exchanges count? - Yes. NEW RULE - Size Equivilancy (This list is subject to change as bones 3 releases) Medium and smaller = 1 ea Simple Terrain (plain floors, walls) = 1ea Complex Terrain (http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Terrain/latest/03518 or such) = 2 ea Large (Giants and the like) = 2 ea Huge (Most dragons, Demon Minotaur Lord, etc) = 3 ea Bigger (Kally, Khanjirra, etc) = half of quota rounded up Colossal ("Tianot,") = quota Due to the variable nature of a CAV I compare them against a generic 28mm figure and the Avatar large figure. I take height and bulk into considering if it is worth 1 or 2 figures. If it's not in this list, it counts as 1. (not yet updated for the CAV II/III figures) If you have a question on the size, please post it here, and I'll address them individually. Much like last year, the idea is to help those of us that normally paint VERY little or not as much as one would like, to start painting more. You challenge begins...now! And Our Mantra: Participants: If your name is missing, or you believe your count is incorrect, please PM me. Please note: to make counts easier, post in the bi-monthly thread and include the tag RPChallenge The objective: To paint 52+ minis throughout the course of the year via bi-monthly quota (each bi-monthly thread will have the quota listed as well as the master list) I request that when tagging your posts, please use "RPChallenge" to help with locating minis from this - I am making a more concentrated effort in 'bookkeeping' this year. If someone would be willing to assist in such, it would be much appreciated. What qualifies: Darn near anything! Reaper/non-reaper! Any material! Shelf of shame minis from ages long forgotten! Exchange minis! Speed paints! Armies! (Though I'd encourage perhaps something outside the army as well) Any Size! Based/unbased! Etc! (I think that covers everything) Year long challenge Pick a miniature of size large or greater to complete in the Jan-Feb Block. In Nov-December, purchase (if needed) that same mini and repaint in the same scheme to see direct side-by-side improvement or changes in your methods Jan/Feb: 8: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/89751-janfeb-rpchallenge/ March/April: 9: May/June: 8 July/August: 9: Sept/Oct: 9: Nov/Dec: 9:
  10. LE GASP! I'm on time! Please see the main post here for rules, questions and general chatter, while using this thread to keep a list of links to your show-offs or show-off related comments in a single post: A reminder to please adhere to miniatures posting guidelines as usual. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/89750-2020-rpchallenge-informationquestions/ All the information you need should be here. Due to the revised format, there will be more than one bonus challenge available for this month. Including a "Hard mode" which Is some combination that may or may not have a source behind it. Your challenge is: 8! Bonus Challenge: The First! Hindsight! - OK let's be obvious, you SAW this coming. *rimshot* paint a miniature with glasses! Bonus Challenge: The Second! Our annual favorite challenge returns. February Fingerpaint! Pick a miniature that is NOT terrain. This is pretty self explanatory. Hard Mode Challenge! February holds "National Margarita Day" and often hand-in-hand with the tropical drink, is gaudy 'Aloha' clothing! Paint a mini if your choice where the majority of the exposed surface must be free-handed in the mannerism of such! Yes that's a lot of freehand. (I honestly just wanna see someone paint a slime covered in freehanded palm trees >.>) Good luck The game is made up and the points don't matter

As usual, the new format holds a "hard mode" challenge! March and April 2019 Challenge Your challenge is: 9! Bonus Challenge: The First! March 8th is the birthday of Ralph H. Baer, often called the "father of video games." To tribute these early games - paint a character to resemble an early video game character (Think 16-bit era or sooner) the more obscure, the better! Addendum: It doesn't have to ONLY exist in that era. It doesn't matter if it's the only incarnation of it like Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure or Power Pete, or originated but is on 5183 of the series (looking at you, Final Fantasy.) but the spirit is to that era. Bonus Challenge: The Second! Bringing back the classic for April, the "Fools' Brigade!" Paint a mini in a patently absurd scheme! CAV with a bullseye on it...elf with an "I'm organic" tabbard, etc. The more outlandish the better! Hard Mode Challenge! Ides Of March Famously known as the date when Julies Caesar was assassinated, March 15. Make a small diorama (or large, whichever) of such an assassination about to, or having recently happened. Characters and environment. This will be counted as # of miniatures + 2 base and scenery.) As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!

As usual, the new format holds a "hard mode" challenge! The Last quarter of the year 2019 because real life is a bugbear sometimes. Your challenge is: 18! Bonus Challenge: 1! Fall! Paint a mini that has fallen over (for whatever reason) (Pompeii guy works for this too!) Bonus Challenge: 2! This is Halloween! - Paint a mini using only colors that have black, orange, and purple in the name. You may also use the paints available from this year's ghoulie bag. Bonus Challenge: 5! Festive feast - Since both US And Canada have their Thanksgiving in this time bracket - paint up a mini (figure or terrain) to have some food being presented, if you can do a drinking vessel to be painting like a full glass, even better! Bonus Challenge: 4! For-lack-of-a-better-idea- December 15th is national Cat Herders' day! Paint a tabaxi, or any other mini featuring a feline. (It's a real holiday, go ahead, look it up) Hard Mode Challenge 1! Jack-o-lantern's light - Paint a mini where the only source of light would be coming from inside a jack-o-lantern. Pumpkin may be part of the mini/base or sculpted Hard Mode Challenge 2! Under Wraps- Paint a mini so that anything that any non-flesh (armor-weapons-cloth-etc) looks like it's patterned wrapping paper. This is assuming a humanoid figure. Dragons or such apply the same challenge to the whole body. As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!

As usual, the new format holds a "hard mode" challenge! July and August 2019 Challenge Your challenge is: 9! Bonus Challenge: The First! Independence Day! Both Canada and the US celebrate their independence days in July. Keeping it clean - paint a mini that resembles the most absurd stereotype of the country, whether it's a lumberjack riding a moose with a jug of maple syrup, or a fat dude in a scooter with the american flag and a big mac. Or something from the film Independence Day, that works too. Bonus Challenge: The Second! August 22nd is National Spumoni day. 3-layered Gelato dish. Paint any mini in a themed pallet around your choice image of said dish. Hard Mode Challenge! Eruption Also in August is the fabled eruption of Pompeii. A full-size diorama is a but much to ask - but instead theme a mini around trying to escape the eruption (lava flows, flying chunks of rock, etc) particularly utilizing the OSL and an ashen look. As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!

(Yup, Winter in a Summer month. In honor of: James Clark Ross, the first European to reach the North Magnetic Pole, June 1st 1831.) Polar Bears, Frostgravers, Seals, Yetis, US Navy SEALS in winter kit, Snow Apes, Winter Foxes, Dire Penguins, Snow Leopards, Tiger Tanks in winter Camo, White Tigers, Frost Giants, Winter Terrain ...are all good. Bonus Challenge: The 2nd! Join the Painting Binge next weekend. Hard Mode: knock out the basic 8 during the Binge. Details: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86220-memorial-day-paint-binge-challenge-2019/ Bonus Challenge: The 3rd! The third time pays for all. If there was a Bonus Theme from earlier this year that you wanted to do but missed; go back, find it, and give it a go! Post the theme Rules with the link please. Bonus Challenge: The 4th! The Fourth was with us earlier in May. Paint up some sort of mini as a Stars Wars character, background extra, droid, or spacecraft. Harder mode: Do some conversion work on the model first. (Add a light saber, swap a sword to a blaster, cobble together a ship from random objects Froggcident-style...) As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!
  15. I, Echoside, will be undergoing this awesome challenge as my Dragon and paints have arrived from Denton. I have chosen the victim of Kyphrixis, The Copper Dragon for this 3-star challenge. Will be using green and red liner to prime. My rolls: So after his bath, it was picture time! I think he will end up being a Strawberry Dragon! First off, I sorry for the Cut/Paste first post, but it was fitting. Secondly, Kai (the moniker I've given to him) got himself primed up and ready for more layers while out at a miniature painting event at a local gaming store. Such a splendid way to start the challenge. I bathed the base unit in Sepia Liner, as I don't believe the base was to be done strictly in the color scheme of the dragons. Kai himself was bathed in the Red liner, which is very purple if you ask my eyes. The wing membranes were done in the Green Liner. I'm hoping for some interesting undershading effects once the 3 primary colors start to roll on. I've blocked out in my head what scales are going to be which shades and such, I'm just hoping I have the skills to bring whats in my head out on the dragon himself. But without further ado, picture time!
  16. Congratulations, you have found the thread for posting your completed Random Rainbow Dragon!! The original quest can be seen here: Please provide a link to your Show Off Thread (which should include the model # you chose in its tags), a link to the Work in Progress thread, a brief statement of what colors you rolled, a statement of what dragon you painted (for search purposes), and photos of your lovely dragon. Pretty certain at this point I fell off the wagon got ran over by it, then chased it down and set it on fire (given the drought of these - explanation is in the chatter thread) Please see the main post here for rules, questions and general chatter, while using this thread to keep a list of links to your show-offs or show-off related comments in a single post: A reminder to please adhere to miniatures posting guidelines as usual. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/78657-resolutionary-painting-challenge-2018-chatterquestions/ All the information you need should be here. Due to the delay, there is going to be a normal and hard challenge for each month. Your challenge is: 13! October Bonus: This is Halloween! - Paint a mini using only colors that have black, orange, and purple in the name. You may also use "Fresh Blood" and "Spectral White" as they are part of the monthly promotion. Hard mode: Jack-o-lantern's light - Paint a mini where the only source of light would be coming from inside a jack-o-lantern. Pumpkin may be part of the mini/base or sculpted November Bonus: Festive feast - Since both US And Canada have their Thanksgiving in this time bracket - paint up a mini (figure or terrain) to have some food being presented Hard mode: Liquid Cheer - This can be done with the above - paint a mini where it's holding a drinking vessel - but paint it as though the mug were glass and you could see the drink inside from the sides (in theme - ale or wine is the best use) December Bonus: Winter Solstice - To celebrate the shortest day of the year - paint a halfling or dwarf decked in wintry colors (think blues/grays/whites, maybe brown and a little bit of evergreen) Hard Mode: Gift wrapped - paint a mini with any inorganic parts (metal, cloth, etc) being done to resemble giftwrap - little candy canes, trees, text, stripes, etc - bows optional Good luck The game is made up and the points don't matter
  18. I took the dragon challenge last year and chose this figure. Midway into the painting my vision changed entirely. I still used the 3 chosen colors, but in a different way. Very happy with how it came out. Found the perfect base in my Bag of Crap, too. Sorry, camera lighting is not good. He is not so muddy looking in person.
  19. I'm back to being late again! Please see the main post here for rules, questions and general chatter, while using this thread to keep a list of links to your show-offs or show-off related comments in a single post: A reminder to please adhere to miniatures posting guidelines as usual. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/78657-resolutionary-painting-challenge-2018-chatterquestions/ All the information you need should be here. Due to the revised format, there will be more than one bonus challenge available for this month. Including a "Hard mode" which Is some combination that may or may not have a source behind it. Your challenge is: 9! Bonus Challenge the first: March 26th is National Purple Day (raising awareness for epilepsy) - so paint a figure in monochrome purple. (Yes I know a slime would be an easy candidate) Bonus Challenge the second: April Fools' Brigade - Paint a mini in a completely nonsensical paint scheme or other silliness. ex: CAV with a giant bullseye on it, Adventurer with a shield that says "I'm with tasty ->" or something similar. Bonus Challenge the Fiv Three, sir, three! Monty Python and the Holy Grail released 33 years ago in April - paint up a figure to resemble a character from the movie Good luck The game is made up and the points don't matter
  20. I need an excuse to get out of a painting rut, so challenge accepted! The Dragon: Ebonwrath (because the Bones 3 dragons are not yet in the online store) Let the randomness begin. The fates have selected: Primary color: Cloudy Grey (16) Secondary color: Lemon Yellow (5) Tertiary color: Orange Brown (4) Oh my. I'll have to think about this one. With those colors, I'll go all in with the three star challenge. Why not...
  21. First off, I'm a complete sucker for rolling d20s. Second, I've been in a painting slump and can't be bothered to drag all my paints out to paint and/or I'm too intimidated to work on my other projects. Third, my hubby (a.k.a. Wise Kraken) has a conference coming up and is going to be out of town for the last week of September. I'm hoping that I can get my confidence and enthusiasm back if I do a silly project that doesn't require a lot of set-up or over-thinking. So here's the link to the rules post, I'll probably accidentally break some of them because I'm just not planning on stressing about this. (Which, I think, is the point, right??) http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/76666-the-seers-and-a-wizard-present-a-random-rainbow-dragon-challenge/ And here are my pictures: So the dragon is Kryphrixis , and my rolls were 4, 17 & 10. Which is Orange Brown, Marine Teal and Imperial Purple. It's... actually really close to doing a colorful version of a bronze dragon. I didn't cheat, honest!! I'm short the Orange Brown, ironically, but it will probably take as long to order the paint as I'll take to prep the dragon. I haven't decided whether I want to take on one of the extra challenges, it might depend on how I feel or how well the colors mix. It's super tempting to shade with other colors from the same triads, mainly since I've already got them. Wish me luck, and feel free to gently prod me to work on this guy. EDIT: Deleted duplicate image of die rolls.
  22. I'm kinda on time! Your challenge is: 8! Bonus Challenge: The First! Frostbite: Considering the sheer cold that's gripping most of us as of this posting: Paint a mini that looks like they've been outside in the winter a little too long - snow in the hair, icicles on shields, etc. Have fun with it Bonus Challenge: The Second! Our annual challenge returns. February Fingerpaint! This is pretty self explanatory. Hard Mode Challenge! Pending... Good luck The game is made up and the points don't matter
  23. I have accepted the Rainbow Dragon Challenge I will be painting 77110: Deathsleet To keep it truely random i will be calling on @pcktlnt to roll my paint colors.

Your challenge is: 9! Bonus Challenge: The First! (Is this a re-hash? I don't recall.) Fall! Modify/paint a mini/minis to be falling/fallen. (Translate fallen how you will.) Bonus Challenge: The Second! December 14th is National Bouillabaisse Day. For those unfamiliar, this is a Fish Stew from southern France. Paint a mini that incorporates a fish motif. Hard Mode Challenge! Under Wraps: Paint a mini so that anything that any armor-weapons-cloth-etc looks like it's patterned wrapping paper. This is assuming a humanoid figure. Dragons or such apply the same challenge to the whole body. Stop the presses! Bonus, The third! With the breaking news of our beloved space pope leaving Reaper - let's see what you can paint up as a tribute to him. Bonus points for actually making a "bryanzilla" mini accurate to the avatar. Good luck The game is made up and the points don't matter
  25. My challenge is to finish the blue bin in the coming two weeks: There's some extra random stuff I might get to. I'm also starting with Mrs Claus and the cat dragon. And if that's not enough, one of my KS projects fulfilled:
