  1. "Day 1: After observing the strange denizens searching a far-off realm and assisting them in locating their married idols and their pet froghemoth, several have pointed me toward their home as way of thanks, as well as sage advice about not sniffing goblin butt. Whether this is gratitude or a trap, I cannot say. Yet I arrive and remain wary." "Day 2: I have quietly observed the citizens here and they appear to be mostly harmless. It appears that the most respected are the talented and the crazy, both being a powerful combination being in this plane. I ave been decreed to be Newbie, which suits me for now. They appear to worship small figures that they anoint with color, to display among their brethren. This appears to increase their standing among the clan. I have tentatively made contact with them by offering compliments, which they eagerly accept. Things are going well." "Day 3: I have observed a strange thing today: a treasure-laden goblin proclaim a challenge to all others to decorate their future idol of Five-Headed Tyranny within a grueling time period with barely adequate tools. Obviously this is an endurance ritual meant to kill off the weak. This 'Buglips' appears to be an agent of insanity, while She of the Singular Footwear already appears to be planning an innovative stratagem for these trials. They and the other contestants have impressed me thus far, though their favor is not yet secure. As a neutral party I have offered my services as Judge, as my Newbie status has afforded me an aura of impartiality. The challenge is one solar revolution from now, but I am eager to see the glorious plethora of colors that will be expended when it finally happens." "Day 4: I have never seen such a repository of knowledge as this. Centuries of plying their traded has given much experience and talent, and I find myself furiously scribbling down notes as I try absorb their knowledge. To facilitate this I have created a 'Topic', in which I pose a question and the denizens come to lay down offerings of advice. Soon I will have all the secrets of the multiverse, to perform my own application of colors on unsuspecting figures. One a related noted, I have been declared Mostly Harmless, which works in my favor. I will use my innocuous status to continue gathering information and friends here."
  2. AKA a Chaos Marauder, (everything needs a new name apparently):- Was figuring out the colour scheme for the Chaos half of my Age of Sigmar set, ended up so pleased with the final result I thought he deserved showing-off! (IMO I think I did a really good job on his muscles) Will have to paint more bare-chested dudes in future. Any comments and criticisms are, as always, most appreciated.
  3. Wanting to paint a bust for a long time, never had the nerve. In order to participate in the 54mm Challenge I decided to do a bust too. Kabuki Miniatures: 1/6 scale KY-RA ( a NOT Red Sonja). I will link the nude shots, since one of her breasts peeks through the armor. I have cut up an old plaster base for her.
  4. Hi ! Just for fun, a old Heroquest mini tabletop :) (I loveeee oldies mini ;))
  5. Not my best work or pics. An OOP model from Harlequin ( GW alternative from the 90's). Still I like old minis. So here he is ( again, due to account trouble I;m reposting my work).
  6. This is my other type of Large-Hatted dwarven mercenary/evil dwarf. He came out really well. Basing is cork, with the lava itself being liquitex matte medium, with a drop for the bubble. And yes, I'm well aware that he should be dead standing there. I don't mind. He doesn't seem to mind, either. His intent is to be the leader of the "Betrayal of Fire" evil dwarves working against the classic GW Chaos Dwarves and other Dark-Sculpted monstrosities. I'm very happy with him.
  7. Some filthy rotten blighters I finally based.
  8. Here is the Barbarian King, from CMON Miniatures (I think). I painted this one (along with Arwen and Kalee) to bring my total score of painted miniatures up to an even 40.
  9. So I have not painted a terminator in over 20 years and this is my first attempt at NM gold. My friends son had this laying around and asked me to paint it for him. His choice of colors and I tried to keep the mini with a dark feel. Not exactly how I wanted it to end up but still more than happy with end result. please c&c and thank you in advance ;)
  10. Had this guy sitting around for a while. Got him as part of a big bulk deal and just wasn't motivated to get to him. But now he's done and ready to view. The skin trench coat is a new twist. I usually don't have to use so much flesh on a fully armored mini.
  11. Here are some pictures of a minotaur I made for one of my Blood Bowl teams. He's pretty big for the game, but reposing the plastic minotaur was a whole lot of fun. The colors match the other minis on the team. Here he is:
  12. A friend asked me to paint this unit for his girlfriend. I don't paint anything but fantasy (so I hated the request). By the time I was finished, I never wanted to see another "space marine" in my whole life. I have seen them painted and they are beautiful...but they are not my cup of tea. I love to see the work of painters who love to paint them.
  13. this is dark angel librarian from the dark vengeance box set im using as a csm fallen Sorceror. sorry for the picture quality. stil it is a work in progress got to do touchups and some clean up.
  14. Quick, easy and cheap. †Probably not good for you, but here is: Scavenger Hunt Lo Mein 1 package Top Ramen (beef or pork works best), 1/2 to 1 cup frozen Peas and Carrots two table spoons of cooking oil (olive preferable) one slice of lunchmeat (ham preferable) (optional) 1 egg In a small pot heat up the peas and carrots, when they are basically thawed put them in a bowl. †Dice up the meat into little pieces and toss it in with the veggies. Boil the ramen and drain off the water. †After draining the water add the soup spice package and stir up the noodles. †(For maximum efficiency use the same pot you heated the veggies in) In a sauce pan of sufficient size heat the oil for three minutes or so, no more than five. †The heat setting should be between low and medium heat and mix the stuff in the bowl with the noodles. †Put the noodles and stuff in the oil and mix gently for three to five minutes and it will be Lo Mein. You can add other stuff, if you whip the egg and cook it up omelette style, then dice it you can add it with the stuff in the bowl to the noodles. †I like to throw in some finely diced bell peppers. †The more stuff you add the less Peas and Carrots you need. You get about two adult servings. †Helps if you have something to go with it. †Eggrolls in the oven is a favorite of mine. †But, in keeping with the scavenger hunt whatever you find is fair game. †This has worked well for me on the no one wants to cook and no one wants to go out nights where we fend for ourselves. †Usually takes less than thirty minutes to make. It's not pretty, but it usually tastes good. † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † :O
