  1. I've been basing more of my minis and feeling like I'm actually completing them rather than just painting the model. Here's Cloud from Final Fantasy 7. This is the first of 4. As always, i love the feedback.
  2. I painted these just a little while ago to match a client’s RPG party. They are all 3D prints from Heroforge, where you can choose from a wide array of options for characters. 3d printed minis present a bit of a challenge for painters, as the grain is often visible in a few spots. There are a variety of ways to overcome this, including sanding and gloss, but ultimately you just need to be very careful with your shading. For each of these, I got some pretty specific instructions on their color scheme. Here they are:
  3. I am starting a WIP for these two giants. While distinctly different, I want to use some colors to tie them together. Here they are primed and with a base coat for the skin tones.
  4. From an old Grenadier box set, a green slime in the process of consuming a man in chainmail.
  5. Couple of bones. I tried to make the freehand on the death knight's cloak match his shield. I imagined him as a paladin in magic armor that still held it's shine. The Cloud Giant was my first attempt at tartan. Also, i thought his base looked cool (and it was easy!) Both are shaded metallics (still working on improving that) Hope you like.
  6. Continuing to post from my latest latest photo session, here's the unnamed male storm giant and Yephima. Both loaded up on NMM, and a fun attempt at an aqua glassy armor on Yephima. The storm giant's face has a wicked moldline I don't think I've ever seen before until I got this picture linked up and previewed. I didn't notice it while painting, nor have I noticed it when handling it later... oh well. Next time I'll get them all. I promise. Maybe.
