https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1915262526/fred-perrys-gold-digger-frederal-reserve-gold-bric It's time to print and release the newest volume of the GOLD BRICK SERIES, the GOLD DIGGER FREDeral Reserve which compiles a multitude of the Gold Digger spin-offs and ancillary series. If you supported the previous Gold Bricks, thank you very much, and we hope you support this campaign too. With a load of great standalone and continuity pickup stories, this collection makes a great jumping-on point for any new readers, as well as awesome reading for longtime fans. THESE ISSUES HAVE NEVER BEEN COLLECTED INTO ONE VOLUME BEFORE. Between its black-and-white and full-color issues, the main Gold Digger series is fast approaching the 300-issue mark and is going strong! (Including material like that being compiled into the FREDeral Reserve, GD is already well past that milestone!) If you're not familiar with us, my name is Joeming Dunn, and I run Antarctic Press, a small, independent comic company started in 1984. I have personally collected comics of almost every type and genre since 1974, and I can say that during the past 30 years, we have published some of the greatest and best independent comics out there. Our publishing history includes titles like Gold Digger and Ninja High School. The comic industry has changed over the years, so we have started this Kickstarter program to help introduce new projects from our talented group of creators. Prominent among the many series we have published over the years is Fred Perry's ingenious title, Gold Digger, which Fred describes as a mixture of Indiana Jones and Final Fantasy. The idea for Gold Digger was first conceived during Fred's tour of duty in the first Gulf War, and it debuted in Antarctic Press's anthology comic, Mangazine, in 1991. A four-issue miniseries followed in 1992, and a regular monthly black-and-white series followed starting in 1993. The current color series began in 1999 and has continued since then. It is the second-longest-running solo-created title in the industry. Among comic books with female leads, its run is second only to Wonder Woman. In 2013, Fred was honored at Comic Con International in San Diego, where he received an Inkpot Award for his work on Gold Digger. Over the past years, we have released other Gold Bricks as Kickstarter projects. This Gold Brick is outside the numbering system of the main-series Bricks, so no potentially confusing volume numbers this time! If you haven't seen or read Gold Digger, this is your chance to enjoy one of the best and longest-running ongoing series in comics. Like the other Bricks, this one lets new readers join in easily, so you don't have to be shy! Over the next few years, we'll go back to reprint the other volumes to match the new Kickstarter printings' format. We want everyone to have nice editions. In addition to reasons already mentioned, during previous campaigns, many backers have asked us to collect these series, since many of these issues are difficult to find. So what is included in this Gold Brick? A Science Affair Asrial vs Cheetah GD Minus 18 Gina vs Penny (GvP) Gold Digger Dreadwing's Mymior Gold Digger Adventures WHEW...that's quite a line up. What are we going to do with the Kickstarter money? Plain and simple, we're going to print and ship the Gold Digger FREDeral Reserve Gold Brick. The FREDeral Reserve Gold Brick is over 600 pages, many of which are in full color. Printing the actual books is the biggest single expense. The first print run of a typical Gold Brick is quite costly, as most printers require a minimum run to make it cost-effective. We are thus using Kickstarter to assist us with those costs. If the amount seems high, you must remember that we are printing at least a thousand copies of a 600+ page book. Another cost is shipping: First we will have to ship the books from the printer to our offices, and once we get them, send copies to all our supporters and distributors. Several thousand pounds of books represents a significant shipping expense. Here is a breakdown of our expenses. Printing: $12,500 (which includes hard and softcover) Shipping: $3,000 (Sending a 600-page book is costly, especially overseas. The cost for shipping just one copy overseas is now around $34.) Fees: $1500 (Kickstarter takes their fees off the top) Handling/Supplies: $1500 (We have to pay for boxes and pay people to pack those boxes.) That does not include cost for sending the large PDF files to all the supporters and other miscellaneous costs. Those basic expenses total $18,500. So what do you get? The brick is 6 x 9 inches and will contain AT LEAST the series we mentioned above.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/earthworm-jim-the-comic-book/x/10803452#/ Overview Earthworm Jim has been a beloved character in video games since his launch in 1994, but due to the limitations of cartridge space, his epic story was never properly told. I'm not only the creator of Earthworm Jim, but I've spent the last 20 years making 18 graphic novels! EARTHWORM JIM is about the world's most unlikely hero... a worm! The evil Queen of Insectica has a super-suit invented that is capable of altering the universe when it is stolen by her ugly sister, Princess What's-Her-Name... Earthworm Jim... from the creator of Earthworm Jim! My name is Doug TenNapel and I created Earthworm Jim 26 years ago. Though "EWJ" appeared in award winning video games, an animated series and a toy line, his epic story has yet to be told! We all know the character, but none of us know the story. This deficit in the universe ends NOW! (P.S. Do sign up for the Earthworm Jim Comic mailing list! http://earthwormjimcomic.com/ ) For the first time in 27 years I am crafting an epic graphic novel worthy of the true fans of Earthworm Jim in a multi-book set! Let's launch the cow! My last Indiegogo campaign was for a comic book called Bigfoot Bill and my backers blew me away by providing $196k in funding! Together, we were able to make a hard bound, giant book with over-the-top gold-leafing and embossing on the cover. With your help, we can make Earthworm Jim: LAUNCH THE COW a beautiful volume that is a work of art unto itself. It goes on the coffee table, not some box of wrinkled, floppy comics in the basement. This story will be a sprawling love letter to the fans of Earthworm Jim! YOU are my Plan A. There is no other plan! Making a big, beautiful book requires a lot of funding. Paper costs go up every year, and I only use top quality end sheets, cover stock and print work. It's made in America in my state so I can oversee every step of production. The book will start as a handsome hardbound edition, oversized at 9" x 12" and 160 pages long! It documents the origins of the super suit and how it got to earth to make our favorite hero. You'll see some familiar characters ripped straight out of the video game like: Peter Puppy, Princess What's-Her-Name, Psycrow, the hideous Professor Monkey for a Head, Queen Slug-for-a-Butt and Evil the Cat! The Making Of EARTHWORM JIM Book! Your Earthworm Jim: Launch the Cow comic is lonely and needs a companion... The "Making Of The Earthworm Jim Book" is a perfect companion to the comic bookk. It will also be hardbound, 9" x 12" and starts at 64 pages (But I KNOW we can do a lot better than that!). It has a comprehensive backstory on all of the main characters and villains. I think it's tacky to have too much expository dialogue on everyone's past, so it's better to unfurl that in this book. I give you the why behind the entire Earthworm Jim universe... and yes, I'm building a universe! I recently had a reunion with the whole Earthworm Jim game team and I got to interview everyone. We talked about how Earthworm Jim came to be and I will document that many close calls and freak accidents that had to fall into place for it to happen. There will be team bios, and a catch up on what everyone has been doing over the last 25 years since we got together. The Shiny Team section of the book has portraits of the talented artists, programmers and musician and the photos were even taken by David Perry the Earthworm Jim programmer! I'll show every step of the comic book's production, from raw ideas on the white board to printing every notecard I used in breaking down the story. You'll see the raw pencilled pages, inked pages with washes applied and I even scan my script pages that are covered in pencil re-writes! Who remembers this cartridge and packaging art by Mike Koelsch...? I've asked Mike Koelsch to paint a new "90s-style EWJ cover" for the Making Of book! Koelsch will give a step-by-step story on how he illustrated EWJ including a sneak peek into his studio madness. (Check out Koelsch's website here: http://www.sporkunltd.com/) He has also allowed me to make prints of the cover and the original is available on our highest backer tier. I'll put it in a beautiful frame with matting so it's ready to hang in your home! Here's Mike giving step by step progress on the cover: I've got perks where you can own the original comic pages, the book covers and enjoy frame-worthy prints plus a perk where I will draw you an original signed Earthworm Jim head-sketch in your book! 3 ART PRINTS! I hope to make three collectable prints with each Earthworm Jim book by guest artists, and these are the first three. Note: They will only be offered on this campaign and won't be offered on any future campaigns. The first is by Mike Koelsch, the artist who did all of the cartridge and packaging illustrations for Earthworm Jim 1 and 2. The next two are from the CreatureBox boys Greg and Dave! Click here to learn more about CreatureBox: http://creaturebox.com/ FUND THE TEAM: The funds will go to a costly print run, my letterer Eric Weathers, flatter Radka Kavalcova, my colorist Katherine Garner, book designer Joe Potter and shipping fees. Here's a sampling of the team's test pages so far: The Art of Bookmaking I've spent years making graphic novels and Earthworm Jim is probably my most well-known creation, yet his story hasn't been told. This is my chance to do the best job I can to entertain you and your backing will make this book a fantastic work of art. I don't see comics as disposable rags made to read once then toss aside. I spend a lot of time writing and story and crafting every page and merely reading some thin floppy or a PDF isn't the experience I'm going for. This book will be something you can enjoy for a lifetime, it's literature, not pop-garbage and I want to stand on the tip-toes of my ability to reach for the highest possible craft I can accomplish! My track record in this arena has few peers. I Kickstarted two sketchbook archives where we managed leather covers, gold gilded edges and the best printing money can buy. These are one-of-a-kind collector's items that are not available in stores. The book honors the backers who made them happen. I write for the most diverse audience imaginable, and the backers constantly tell me, "I got more than I paid for!" If you look at my books that are made outside of Indiegogo, you'll see that they don't have the over-the-top printing production I can pull off through crowd funding. Only through Indiegogo will you find foil-stamped gold cover art, UV gloss coatings, embossing and de-bossing! I hope to explore new printing techniques that make these hard bound books the kind of items you show off to your friends with a durability that ensures a great re-read for the rest of your life! For more on the Bigfoot Bill campaign click here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/doug-tennapel-s-bigfoot-bill-graphic-novel/x/838702#/ I spend a lot of time putting these books together, it's time away from my family and I've dedicated my art philosophy and have the highest commitment to being transparent to my backers, include them in every step of the process and take the moral contract between backer & creator seriously. Why Beale Air Force Base? When Crew Chief Matt Konar was allowed to choose any artist to paint the nose art on his KC135 refueling plane he wanted something like his favorite character Earthworm Jim! A friend put us in contact, and I designed the artwork for the plane and attended the commissioning ceremony on May 5th. The whole base came out and I felt so humbled to get to help America's finest that I wanted to do something special for those folks and give YOU that same feeling. By backing the Beale Air Force tier, I hope to send one copy of the Earthworm Jim comic to all 800 people on that base just in time for Christmas! As a thank you, I will send you a signed book! Here's a sample page from the comic:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1696155462/artificial-incident-book-one?ref=user_menu About Hey folks. How do I pitch this? I guess I can start with a little bit about myself. I've been doing webcomics since the end of 2003. Back then I started a little webcomic I called Yosh!(because I was a total weeb). Now here we are, 15 years later… and I’m still doing 3 Yosh!comics every week. There are over 2000 comics on Yosh! Problem is, Yosh!, while fun, isn't the only idea running around in my head waiting for when I feel skilled enough to take on a bigger challenge. There's a bunch of projects I want to do. Almost 3 years ago, I started working on one of those other ideas. That comic series is called Artificial Incident. Artificial Incident is a project I fell in love with as soon as I figured out that it already had a known Genre. Yosh! fell into the "Slice of life" category even though very little of it fell into everyday life, but because there really wasn't a better fit for it, it was categorized as that. AI, on the other hand, was RPG Literature, or for the weebs, an Isekai (Yep, 15 years later, still a weeb). Allow me to explain my passion, or skip this paragraph. I love stories that take a person and throws them into a familiar yet alien world. Stories like The Wizard of Oz, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and yes, even Captain N the Game Masters (Actually I was more a fan of the Dungeons and Dragons animated series but anyways). I enjoyed these stories because I saw so much potential and a simple connection. Most people can put themselves in the shoes of the person thrust into this strange situation. They can think about what they would do and how they would react. This creates an instant connection to the protagonist of the story. Then there's the shear number of familiar yet different things you can do leading to near limitless potential, while not being so alien that people have trouble understanding it. It's a perfect storm of unique and familiar attributes. So, what Is Artificial Incident? It's the story of a character that not only gets pulled into a video game, but has the memories of that character as if they actually lived their life within the game. This caused many of the character's original memories to be overwritten, but not all of them. They're not alone in this game though. The story focuses on the main characters and the mysteries that unfold from the world. This includes everything from the NPCs, to a massive change in the economy and civilizations of the world, to even other Player Characters... from entirely different games. What makes AI different from other similar stories? This comic has many unique traits, but the thing that frustrates me the most about many current similar stories is their lack of actually showing why things are the way they are. So many mysteries and concepts are never explored. AI is written to explore these changes and work to discover the reasons behind them rather than just accepting things "just because".

About Girl Genius is an ongoing story featuring adventure, romance, and Mad Science! It follows the adventures of Agatha Heterodyne, the last of a notorious family in which the spark of mad science runs strong. We call it a "Gaslamp Fantasy," by which we mean that it takes place in an old-fashioned, Vernian world of airships, monsters, and wild inventions. Girl Genius is published as a webcomic and graphic novel series, and also as a series of prose novels. The graphic series is updated three times a week on our web site at girlgeniusonline.com. When we have enough pages, roughly once a year, we run a Kickstarter campaign and publish a collection. Queens and Pirates is Book Five of the Second Journey of Agatha Heterodyne–and the eighteenth book in the overall series. If you're new to the Girl Genius comics, The Second Journey is a great place to jump in! We are Phil and Kaja Foglio, creators of the ongoing adventure story Girl Genius. We are ready to make the print version of Girl Genius: Queens and Pirates, the latest in our self-published series of Hugo award-winning graphic novels. The book will be printed as a trade paperback, with a short run of special hardcover volumes that feature a lovely "puffy" padded cover. We used to offer pre-orders for upcoming books through our online store; which helped us pay for the up-front costs of printing the books. It also allowed us to get an idea of how many books we should be making in the first print run, especially of the limited-edition hardcover. Now we use Kickstarter, which really streamlines this process. We learn and get better at it every time we do a campaign. You can see information about all our previous campaigns on the Kickstarter Information page at girlgeniusonline.com. If this campaign funds, all our backers will be asked to fill out our Very Necessary Pledge Manager form from BackerKit. A link to the pledge manager will be sent to each backer in an email from us through BackerKit, and we'll let everyone know when it has gone out. The pledge manager is important, because it's the only way we get a physical address to use when we mail your rewards. The Book Cover! As ever, we like to start with a tiny little immediate reward. Here is a special icon–just for fun. We hope you enjoy it, and use it to spread the word. We are very bad at social media, so any help we can get is appreciated! The contents of the different reward levels are listed to the right. The stars of the show are, of course, the books. In addition, all backers getting a book will also receive a campaign-exclusive archival, acid free, self-adhesive 3"x4"bookplate, signed by authors Phil & Kaja Foglio. Now that we have funded and met some stretch goals, each signed bookplate now comes in the Envelope of Madness! What is the "Envelope of Madness?" It's the stack of flat extras we'll be shipping along with each pledge level that contains a book. At this time, it consists of: The signed bookplate One Queens and Pirates sticker One "Thank You!" art card featuring Bangladesh DuPree and Captain Hawkins OTHER LEVELS AND REWARDS: PDFS: For those who either do not want a physical book or plan to get it from their favorite real-life book store (or library) later, yet still want to support the project, we have some lower-level rewards, starting with a simple "Tips Jar." All our backers, regardless of level, will receive access to our commemorative downloadable computer wallpaper, which we will reveal at the end of the campaign. TRAVEL STICKERS: At a slightly higher level, we have a new set of FOUR travel stickers! This year's set will feature attractions from around Londinium: The Hall of Privateers, The Royal Museum of Inconvenient Oddities, and the Glass City itself. I know we say in the sidebar that it's a three sticker set, but we've added an extra sticker, because we can't contain our enthusiasm for that pinnacle of Londinium tourism: Hydraulic Pump No. 74. Our 2019 Travel Stickers! MEDALS: Next, we have this year's campaign-exclusive medal: this year it's for being a First Class Scallywag! It's a substantial metal pin-back affair, offered in a choice of silvery or brassy tones. We will be unveiling this year's medal design as the campaign rolls along. Below are examples of some of our medals from previous campaigns. As you can see, the finals wind up a lot more 3D than Phil's 2D drawings... PATCHES: Some levels also include our limited-edition Queens and Pirates patch. Here is the concept art: The campaign has funded! Hooray! Now, we're able to set things up so that we can offer add-ons. So, if you're after extra medals, books or patches, you'll be able to add those on after the campaign, when our BackerKit survey goes out. Now backer levels at and over the $12 level will have access to our post-campaign pledge management system! This is where you can add on all kinds of things, including extra campaign medals, patches and Envelopes of Madness. Additional shipping, if any becomes necessary, will be calculated in the pledge management system. (It has to do with weight and postal categories.) Nota bene: We will have the BackerKit store open for a while after the campaign, but the campaign exclusives: the medals, patches and Envelopes of Madness, may be slightly more expensive at that point. So if you think you'll want one of our exclusives later, back now! And now, onward to the stretch goals: Just what it says...everyone at and above the $10 level will now get a free download link to the PDF of the book at Drivethroughcomics where the rest of our Girl Genius titles are half off throughout the campaign. What is the ENVELOPE OF MADNESS? It's the stack of flat extras we'll be shipping along with each pledge level that contains a book. Now, the bookplate will be shipped inside the traditional ENVELOPE OF MADNESS, along with a Queens and Pirates sticker. Further stretch goals will add more to the envelope. Deluxe medals! At this level, each of our medals will come with an extra insert to make it even more magnificent! They’ll be part of the whole thing when it ships, but you can still easily take them apart and customize them with past medals and inserts. Finally, we also have a special downloadable wallpaper (in addition to the campaign exclusive wallpaper mentioned above.) This wallpaper is a freebie for all of you who have taken the time to come to our campaign page, whether or not you back the campaign. Thank you for visiting! There are five versions of the wallpaper, in the following sizes: 2560x1600, 1920x1080, 1600x1200, 1024x1024, 600x800. Or, you can download a zipped archive of all five. 'nuff said...

I've been a fan of this comic for nearly a decade now... And now its finally going to end up in my bookshelf! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/novil/sandra-and-woo-10-years-anthology-art-book/description About 10 years! Over 1000 comics! One book! ... No, wait, two books!! (+ art prints) And I’m super happy with how they turned out! Update [11 November 2018] International shipping of the books is now available!! Scroll down to the chapter “International Shipping” for all the details! Sandra and Woo readers have been asking me for a printed version for years. Now, it’s finally here, the Sandra and Woo: 10 Years anthology! It collects all 1031 comics that have been published so far. Check out the following infographic for all of its features: I guess that almost all visitors of this page are familiar with Sandra and Woo. If not, here is a short introduction to the comic strip: Sandra and Woo is a comedy webcomic about love, food, raccoons and other important stuff. Written by Oliver Knörzer (“Novil”) and drawn by Puri Andini (“Powree”), it mostly consists of short story arcs about the adventures of middle-schooler Sandra North, her talking raccoon, Woo, and their friends. You can see some of our best comics on the following pages: [1], [2], [3], [4]. Here you can see six sample pages from the anthology (pages 19, 184, 265, 334, 444, and 547): 6 sample pages from "Sandra and Woo: 10 Years" I carefully selected sketches and illustrations by Powree to fill the “holes” in the layout left by the irregular sizes of many comics. The anthology features a preface about the history of Sandra and Woo. Many of the comments below the comics include web links for further reading. Our editor Chris made sure that the English text contains no errors. But that’s not all! I also decided to publish an art book that collects illustrations of Sandra and Woo characters drawn by Powree and 50 other artists, The Art of Sandra and Woo. Most of the artwork by other artists was drawn as commissions or as entries for our yearly fanart contests. Check out the following infographic for the features of the art book: Here you can see six sample pages from the art book: 6 sample pages from "The Art of Sandra and Woo" Powree and Fredy Siloy are currently coloring over a dozen drawings for the art book that have only been available in black and white until now. A few drawings will stay in black and white because they look better this way. I carefully arranged all illustrations so that all adjacent pages have a common theme, art style or particularly pleasing color scheme. All featured artists are listed in the preface. They will receive a fair share of the profits of the art book which they agreed to beforehand. The special editions of the books come with a sketch in form of a stencil, a good fit regarding the graffiti theme of the cover. For this, I will use undiluted high-quality acrylic paint and apply it to the interior side of the cover page with a sponge brush. Beneath the stencil, I will add my signature and my favorite catchphrase from the comic: “Freedom! Justice! Cookies!” Hand-made stencil inside the special editions Several reward tiers include the PDFs of the books. The PDFs will be DRM free. The resolution in each dimension will be half of the resolution of the original PDFs used for printing. As a little goodie, I will also include the PDF of our first book that was published in 2009, Sandra and Woo 1: The Woo. If you not only want to put Sandra and Woo into your bookshelf, but also on your wall, you can get a set of art prints (mini posters). The art prints are 17 x 11 in (43 x 28 cm) large and UV coated. The set of 5 art prints contains the following ones: The set of 11 art prints contains the ones above plus the following ones: All books and art prints will be printed by Ka-Blam, a print-on-demand comic book print shop. Over the years, they have shipped over 150,000 orders and printed more than 3 million comic books. I’ve received sample copies of the anthology and the art book and I’m very pleased with the print quality! I’m particularly fond of the black and white line art of the comics. The lines are sharp, have the correct thickness and no aliasing effects. In addition, the paper is thick and has a pleasant, slightly shiny, white color. Before receiving the sample copies, I was concerned about the binding of the 550 page omnibus. But the binding also makes a very solid impression. Therefore, I saw no need to publish the anthology in two volumes. My sample copy of the anthology Ka-Blam will also be responsible for shipping all orders. I’m sure they can do it much faster and better than I could. The anthology and the art book will be ready to be printed before the end of this Kickstarter campaign! If all goes well, Ka-Blam should be able to ship the first books just a few days after the end of this Kickstarter campaign. Note that the covers for the special editions first have to be sent to me so that I can add the sketch and signature. After that, I have to send the covers back to Ka-Blam. Since Ka-Blam is located in the United States and I’m located in Germany, this will add at least a month to the total fulfillment time. If fast delivery is your top priority, you should rather get the standard editions of the books. Why does the campaign last longer than the usual 30 days? The weeks before Christmas are always very hectic. Ending my first Kickstarter campaign right during the most stressful time of the year just didn’t sound like a good idea. I wouldn’t have been able to promise a delivery in December anyway. International shipping outside the U.S. is available for the books as well! These books won’t be printed by Ka-Blam, though. Instead, they will be printed by the well-known German print shop Wir-machen-Druck.de. They will then be sent to the backers by the German fulfillment agency Aimplify.com. The shipping costs of all reward levels are: Germany: 5€ (~ $6) European Union: 10€ (~ $11) Other countries: 15 € (~ $17) In comparison, sending the books from the U.S would have cost 46€ (~ $53)! The art prints are not available for international shipping since Wir-machen-Druck.de doesn’t offer this product category. The profits (after all expenses for printing, shipping, etc.) will be used in the following order: Pay the shares of the artists featured in the art book. Pay Powree for her work on Sandra and Woo and Gaia. Increase the prize money for the upcoming massive Sandra and Woo 10 Years Artwork Contest! Risks and challenges Since the books are ready to be printed and Ka-Blam is an experienced comic book publisher, the risks involved in this project are very low. I currently see the following risks: • There’s currently no backup plan for the worst-case scenario of Ka-Blam’s printing plant burning down (or Ka-Blam going bankrupt). In this improbable case, I would look for alternative printing companies located in the United States that could fulfill the Kickstarter campaign. • I don’t know yet how sturdy the plastic piece used for the stencil is. If it breaks (multiple times), this will lead to a delay of the special editions. • I’ll go on a month-long vacation to Japan from the mid of March 2019 to the mid of April 2019. In case we get a very large amount of orders for the special editions, this could lead to a further delay.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1858050352/slightly-damneds-bookification-project About Whatchu Doin'!? Slightly Damned is a webcomic that debuted in 2004 and can be read for free (always!) at sdamned.com! It is the story of Rhea Snaketail, a girl killed through mysterious circumstances, and her adventures through the afterlife and beyond. She befriends a Demon named Buwaro and an Angel named Kieri, and together they travel the world, seeking lost family and uncovering the secrets of an ancient war. Slightly Damned won two Ursa Major Awards in 2012 and two more 2013, namely for "Best Graphic Story" and "Best Other Literary Work". In 2014 there was a successful Kickstarter campaign to manufacture plush dolls based on the comic's leads. However, this campaign is all about the comic! Specifically, printing the books! With your support, we will be taking our first step towards producing print volumes of Slightly Damned. It's time to get those comics out of cyberspace and onto some ink and paper! Tell me about these books! Slightly Damned: Book One contains original comic pages #1 through #187, re-lettered and proofread by, not one, but two editors for maximum grammatical accuracy. The comic pages have not been altered in order to preserve the original story, aside from some minor formatting for the book. This book is also chock full of brand new artwork that cannot be found anywhere else! New Artwork? Like what? Slightly Damned: Book One contains the following new art: Both chapters have a new cover - (The old covers will still be included in the back of the book.) There's an exclusive 4-page bonus comic! New gag strips! And a select number of redrawn pages! Not only that, but depending on your pledge, you can even get rewards with the book. Some rewards allow backers to add personalized content to the book, such as scripted gag comics and nominating an old comic page to be redrawn! Gimme some rewards! Here are the reward tiers, and the rewards associated to each tier! The physical rewards include the softcover book, a double-sided bookmark, a signed bookplate to personalize your book, a stickers sheet, a set of 4 prints, and penciled original page. Since the original pencils to each Slightly Damned page are one-of-a-kind items, some pages are unavailable due to being previously sold or lost over the years. Many of the higher rewards allow backers to contribute to the book, by scripting or suggesting a gag script or by selecting a page to be re-drawn. All backers are included in the Thank You pages! Show me those stretch goals! There's only one stretch goal. If this Kickstarter reaches $35,000, then I'll have the funds to print Slightly Damned: Book Two! And get this, it will come with its own set of brand new bonus material!! Just like book 1, this includes re-drawn covers, an exclusive bonus comic and gag strips, as well as a new bookmark and some digital wallpapers! If we reach this stretch goal, backers will be able to select tiers to add book 2 to their order. Say... Weren't there already Slightly Damned books? Yes. For a couple of years, I used a print-on-demand service to produce copies of Slightly Damned: Book One, Book Two, and Book Three. I sold them online and at conventions. Each Slightly Damned book was well over 200 or 300 pages in full color, and unfortunately, the service I used was ill-suited for making books of that size. The cover stock was too thin, the binding was too weak, and the books often came with errors. After a while, I decided to discontinue selling those versions The books that will be made through this campaign will be of higher quality, and due to the printing method (offset rather than print-on-demand), will cost less than the first editions. Not only that, but I've worked hard to include TONS of bonus material to make these volumes as definitive as they can be. So if you've already got one of those first edition copies, I hope you'll find it in your heart to pledge towards this new and improved version! (Yes, those are legally distinct first edition copies with a different ISBN and everything.) Even if you don't want it for yourself, it'd make a great gift to a friend who needs a new webcomic addiction, or donation to your local library! And if you still don't want a physical copy of the new edition, you can still get access to all of the brand-new bonus material and help fund the print run by pledging $5 for the PDF! Thank you for your support! Risks and challenges Even though my last campaign met its goal and everyone got what they pledged for, it was a bumpy road. It was certainly a learning experience for someone who decided to take on their first Kickstarter campaign solo! Too many tiers, too many rewards of various sizes, and being blindsided by expensive shipping costs resulted in a load of complications, even though it eventually worked out in the end. This time, however, I'm backed by the experience of Hiveworks (hiveworkscomics.com)! They have been working with me every step of the way to make sure this campaign gets off on the right foot, and they'll be helping me make sure everything is printed and shipped on time and within our budget. We also made sure that all the rewards were either digital or easy to ship. And aside from the backer-created content, I've already designed pretty much all of the material that needs to be printed! Getting these books printed will be a bit of a challenge due to the comic's age and the fact that several supporters already have the first editions. I can only hope that the comic has gained enough new readers, and that past supporters are generous enough, in order to reach the campaign goal. In order to ensure a certain standard of quality and consistency, I want to get the Slightly Damned archive printed in order before getting to the material that's never been in a book before. And lastly... I've been an online presence for well over a decade now. Honesty is my number one policy, and I've never broken a deal, no matter how small. Even when things go wrong, I have striven to be as transparent as possible so that no one is left in the dark. I always deliver. That's why Slightly Damned has lasted for as long as it has! Well, that, and the infinite patience of my friends, family, and readers like you!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1915262526/fred-perrys-gold-digger-colorized-part-4/description About Help us colorize the original Black and White Gold Digger series by creator Fred Perry. If you're not familiar with us, my name is Joeming Dunn, and I run Antarctic Press, a small, independent comic company started in 1984. You may have seen some of our other successful and fulfilled campaigns. Over the years, we have published a number of series. Prominent among these is Fred Perry's ingenious title, Gold Digger, which Fred describes as a mixture of Indiana Jones and Final Fantasy. In 2013, Fred was honored at Comic Con International in San Diego, where he received an Inkpot Award for his work on Gold Digger. One of our most frequently received fan requests over the years is, "When can I see the original black-and-white series of Gold Digger in color?" Getting a book colored is not an easy proposition due to the cost and time involved, and both of those commodities are scarce in the independent publishing world. But with Kickstarter, it is now possible to achieve that goal. We experimented with a previous Kickstarter (Gold Brick 7), and due to its success, we were able to color the first two issues of the black-and-white series. So back in June of 2016, we ran the first part of this campaign, and we were able to COLORIZE 5 ISSUES. With such encouraging response, we made successive colorizing campaigns. Out of the 50 black-and-white issues, a total of 15 have been colorized thus far. Here is a small sample of what's been done. Below are original and colored pages from Gold Digger #6, colorized thanks to one of our previous Kickstarters. What we would like to do is to continue this process with issue #16 of the series, since the first 15 issues are already funded. Here is a PDF link for Gold Digger #16... http://antarcticpresslibrary.com/gdbw/gdbw16.pdf The money collected will go to paying the colorist to perform the task of coloring. And for each $1200 we collect beyond the first, we will color the next issue. For instance, if we collect a total of $2400 with this campaign, we will then proceed to color issue #14; if we collect at least $3600, we'll have issue #15 colored, and so forth and so on. Supporters will receive the PDFs of each completed issue that is colored, and those in the upper pledge tiers will also get the issues that have already been colorized. Wouldn't you like to see the many great Gold Digger moments in color? Theo versus the Lich King, the first appearance of the Leprechaun mecha, Ace's 747 battle against Dark Bird, Gina and Penny's wedgie war, the first appearance of Ryan, and the epic Time Warp saga are but a few of stories that can be eventually colorized. How we budget the money... $1200 Goal $120 Kickstarter Fees (Kickstarter takes 10% for various fees) $150 for Fred...for all his hard work $130 Administration...to manage and send the PDF's to all the supporters $800 for our esteemed colorists...each issues is from 24 to 30 pages long, so that comes to about $25 to $30 per page for them.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/howardtayler/schlock-mercenary-books-14-and-15 About It is high time we put the next two Schlock Mercenary books into print, and into your hands. We love these books, and we're excited for you to have them. THE BOOKS Broken Wind: Schlock Mercenary Volume 14 "Think of it as a great, big can full of sky... You could drop Mars into that can, and then tuck Luna and Europa in on top." Cover art by Howard Tayler and Travis Walton. Design by Sandra Tayler, Howard Tayler, and K.B. Spangler. The Toughs have taken a small contract in a very, very big place. It's just the sort of mission Captain Tagon excels at, but his gunboat isn't answering to him, and his command chain includes the outed spy who stole the gunboat, the retired general who took it for a joyride, and the disgraced major from whom it was stolen in the first place. With air on both sides of the airlock it's tempting to start throwing people through it. They'll fall for days, provided nothing with wings decides they look tasty... This comprehensive print collection will be 176 pages long, perfect-bound in full color, with 9 pages of all-new story and over 30 pieces of margin art. Delegates and Delegation: Schlock Mercenary Volume 15 "I have standing orders to start exactly zero wars." Cover art by Howard Tayler and Travis Walton. Design by Sandra Tayler, Howard Tayler, and K.B. Spangler. Captain Alexia Murtaugh has a new ship, and a new contract to provide embassy security. Sergeant Schlock has a new title, and a shiny new "get out of jail free" card. Lieutenant Haley Sorlie has new friends, new implants for spying on them, and a newfound distaste for the politics of diplomacy. As Earth orbits its way into a new century her people have new allies, new enemies, and that old, familiar panic one gets upon discovering that there really is something new under the sun. This print collection will be 160 pages long, perfect-bound in full color, with 9 pages all new story, and over 30 pieces of margin art. WHY WE USE KICKSTARTER For years we handled our print runs by taking pre-orders in our online store. Last year we changed that, using Kickstarter for the pre-orders of Random Access Memorabilia: Schlock Mercenary Book 13. We were very pleased with the way it worked out. We like Kickstarter's system for communication between us and you, our backers. Kickstarter delivers a great pre-order experience for backers, and with Backerkit we get very robust fulfillment tools, making the job of shipping thousands of books much easier on us than it's been in the past. Kickstarting this print run lets us offer you more than we've been able to offer in the past. When we say "offer more," we don't mean "more pages." The books are finished, and we're all better served if we don't mess around with that part. We'll be offering additional merchandise, both physical and digital, that we wouldn't otherwise be able to produce. You'll find those in the Stretch Goals. STRETCH GOALS $60,000 Desktop Backgrounds All backers at 1 book pdf level and above will get desktop backgrounds featuring the cover art for Broken Wind and Delegates & Delegation. (Howard has finished a few of them already, and is trying them out.) Howard's over-the-drawing-table monitor, now with 100% more BROKEN WIND $70,000 Fleet coins Three new ship coins, one each for Broken Wind, Neosynchronicity, and Cindercone. The coins will be available to purchase as add-ons for $10 each. We've cleared this goal, so we'll have some art to show you next week. $80,000 Maxim 70 Key chain Maxim 70 reads: "Failure isn't an option. It's mandatory. The option is whether or not to let failure be the last thing you do" Our M70 coin has been one of our most popular challenge coins. This time we want to reprint it as a key chain, so that you can more easily keep it close. The key chain will be available as an add-on for $10. $90,000 The Reprints Teraport Wars is almost out of stock, this is a problem for making up book sets, we'd like to do a second printing. Howard Tayler short story PDF. Howard has written some prose short stories that were sold to various anthologies. The rights have now reverted to us and we'd like to make these stories available to backers. There will be at least two stories, one previously printed in Shared Nightmares, the other in Shadows Beneath. This pdf will be given to all backers at 1 book PDF level and above. Expected delivery January 2019.

And here we go with another 25 issues reprinted as a massive brick of comicky goodness.... It's time to print and release the newest volume of the GOLD DIGGER COLOR GOLD BRICK SERIES, which collects issues 201 through 225 of the Gold Digger series. (This is the point at which we merged the 50-issue black-and-white series into the overall numbering.) If you supported the previous color Gold Bricks, thank you very much, and we hope you support this campaign too. With a load of great standalone and continuity pickup stories, this collection makes a great jumping-on point for any new readers, as well as awesome reading for longtime fans. THESE ISSUES HAVE NEVER BEEN COLLECTED INTO ONE VOLUME BEFORE. Between its black-and-white and full-color issues, Gold Digger is fast approaching the 250-issue mark and is going strong! If you're not familiar with us, my name is Joeming Dunn, and I run Antarctic Press, a small, independent comic company started in 1984. A four-issue miniseries followed in 1992, and a regular monthly black-and-white series followed starting in 1993. The current color series began in 1999 and has continued since then. It is the second-longest-running solo-created title in the industry. In 2013, Fred was honored at Comic Con International in San Diego, where he received an Inkpot Award for his work on Gold Digger. Over the past years, we have released other Color Gold Bricks as Kickstarter projects. We are now releasing the seventh Color Gold Brick, which features issues 201 through 225 of the Gold Digger series. (This is actually the 9th Gold Brick. More on that below.) If you haven't seen or read Gold Digger, this is your chance to enjoy one of the best and longest-running ongoing series in comics. Like the other Bricks, this one lets new readers join in easily, so you don't have to be shy! Some may ask, "Why skip offering Color Gold Bricks 3 and 4?" We're skipping ahead to print this book because, as noted above, its contents have NEVER PREVIOUSLY BEEN COLLECTED in one volume. Over the years, the run of Gold Digger has been printed in eight Gold Bricks to date. The earliest volumes, Gold Brick 1 and Gold Brick 2, were black and white. Then Fred began his color series, so Bricks 3-6 were printed in color. Gold Brick 3 was originally printed in limited quantities, and Fred's only reference copy became thoroughly destroyed from years of constant use. Kickstarter was used to make this out-of-print edition available again as Color Brick 1. By this time, the original stock of Brick 4 had sold out as well, so we offered a new printing of that through Kickstarter as Color Brick 2. However, since Bricks 5 and 6 were more recently printed, there are still copies available and reprinting is not such a necessity. We're thus skipping ahead, as we did for Gold Brick 7 (Color Brick 5) to collect the material not previously available in this format. The amount of material comes to nearly 200 PAGES MORE than previous volumes, rivaled only by Bricks 6 & 7. (We know this can still be confusing, so we have a numbering guide at the bottom of this page.) Over the next few years, we'll go back to reprint the other volumes to match the new Kickstarter printings' format. We want everyone to have nice editions. In addition to reasons already mentioned, during previous campaigns, many backers have asked if we could skip ahead, since they had already purchased the earlier editions. Skipping ahead allows these backers to have a nice, new volume for their shelves. At the same time, we also help backers who missed the earlier Brick offerings way back in the day to catch up via the reprints. You can actually read the whole series to date online at http://antarcticpresslibrary.com/ and see what you've been missing.

Sofawolf press needs YOUR help to colorize the first 50 Gold Digger comics! No, you won't need to dig out markers and inks. They have an artist to do the work, but that artist wants to be paid, and that's where you come in. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1915262526/fred-perrys-gold-digger-colorized-part-2?ref=user_menu $5 gets you a PDF copy of every comic colorised with the money collected in this KS. $10 get you that, and also all the comics that has already been colorised(7). Pretty sweet deal, really. If you want any of the 'Gold Brick' PDFs you add $5 for each, or $30 for all 7! And as each of those contains the contents of 25 comic books, the price is insane!
