  1. A friend of mine started a Kickstarter to get a game together for PAX East this year. He's been running this type of thing at PAX East and Prime for the last several years, but this year he's trying to get it a bit more professionally done. So here's the deal, if you're planning on being at PAX East, a kit costs $5 and has everything you need to play! The premise is that each person is part of a faction and you're job is the assassinate the person who has the matching faction badge you've been given. Once you've done so, you get their target as your own and you move through the targets until all the other assassins are dead. Points are awarded to a leaderboard. Overall, it's just going to be a fun convention game that I've played a few times and enjoyed! The more who play, the better. Also, he'll be adding a limited reward level so people can pay a fairly small pledge (Something like $25-35) to get a custom painted miniature of the faction of your choice (painted by yours truly, my first commissions!). If you're into Infinity models, the 2 he's picked out for the Robot Ninjas faction are Infinity. The rest he'll be ordering from Reaper (as per my recommendation ) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/marschelios/assassins-ball-at-pax-east-2013 It's kind of a dinky little thing, but I wanted to support a friend, so if you're attending, think about playing
  2. SOON....err. in the future...maybe... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1990654819/234262537?token=99762b22
  3. Just found this one. The Jawaballs Way: How to Paint Wargaming Miniatures $80 for his full set of 6 DVDs. Not sure about the breakdown but thought I'd post it. There's an edit at the bottom that indicates he's working on digital downloads so I'm hopeful for that.
  4. Lone Wolf, the publishers of Army Builder and Hero Lab have a Kickstarter to add cloud services to their upcoming Realm Works RPG Campaign management program, if any of the GMs or world builders here are interested: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/610004753/realm-works-streamlined-rpg-campaign-tools I didn't see anyone mention this here yet, and I know there are a bunch of GMs lurking about here.
  5. Sorry if this has already been mentioned - there is a Kickstarter currently running for Fate Accelerated a slimmed down version of the Fate RPG. Fate is the engine that drives The Dresden Files RPG. The next step is a slimmed down version of The Dresden Files - they want to reach $400,000, have $355,193, and have a bit more than two days to get the rest - this is for the final stretch goal. The original goal of $3,000 has been left in the dust. The pledge rewards are pretty nice - $15 gets you the core Fate rules in both print and PDF, the expansions in PDF, and allows you to buy up to nine additional copies of the rules for $5.00 each. If they hit the 400K goal then the PDF for the Dresden Files version will be added to all pledges of $10.00 and over. The Auld Grump
  6. Alrighty, it's my turn to post about a new Kickstarter. It's not minis, but I imagine it's relevant to the interests of many Reaperites. Sentinels of the Multiverse is a really cool superhero-comic-themed card game, from the new-ish company Greater Than Games. It's one of my favorite games, and they're doing a KS for their third expansion now. They're also offering the base game and their previous expansions, as well as a few out-of-print exclusive cards and so forth. Their last Kickstarter ended up with a ton of free stretch bonuses, so keep an eye on this one as they may sweeten the deal later, if you aren't inspired by it yet. Also, my cousin's one-third of the company, so go support him. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/happy.png EDIT: Oh, and they just shattered their goal in 4.5 hours.
  7. Runequest was one of the first big competitors to D&D. This is the definitive guide to Glorantha the world of Runequest written by Greg Stafford, Sandy Peterson and Jeff Richard. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/224590870/the-guide-to-glorantha
