  1. Is this site only for games? I'm looking for ways to reach people I don't know with my kickstarter. Ideas? Better forums for this? $5 gets the whole album! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jacobhillmusic/jacob-hill-debut-album
  2. As I don't think this thread is miniature project specific I wanted to mention a pair of RPG related ones that I wish would gain a bit more traction: - - - - - "Army Ants" is a game / comic book where you play humanoid insects (ants mostly obviously) engaged in military operations with tiny machine guns, tanks, helicopters, etc. The kickstarter is to produce a new edition of the game, reprint the comics, and expand both with new material. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1706035146/the-michael-t-desings-army-ants-war-effort - "Dungeon Deck: Quests" lets you quickly generate basic fantasy adventure scenarios by pulling random cards from decks of encounters, maps, rewards, etc. The kickstarter is to reprint the expansion packs on better card-stock and hopefully add new decks for encounters while camped out and for generating quick npc personalities. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1308283614/dungeon-deck-quests-expansions

  6. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1744629938/loka-the-world-of-fantasy-chess Thanks to CashWiley for finding this, it looks pretty cool. I like the idea of being able to do more with your chess pieces than just move them.
  7. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/greenbriergames/zpocalypse-aftermath-this-time-the-living-are-risi What are everyone's thoughts on this one? I just got my Zpocalypse stuff Friday morning and played it once this weekend. The squad based gameplay is a nice touch. I a little taken aback that they have started so soon after finishing their first Kickstarter, but I also think that it will do well. I will be watching it closely...especially for the fortifications.
  8. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1780208966/freeport-the-city-of-adventure-for-the-pathfinder?ref=live Looks like some EFS minis and Paizo said something about pre-painted Pathfinder Battles minis
  9. Started following these guys a bit ago on Facebook. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wildwestexodus/wild-west-exodus-sci-fi-western-miniatures-game They're a steampunk civil war skirmish game. Not 100% sure I want to stay in at the full $100 level instead of just picking up a few singles but the Enlightened faction looks to be the coolest. Don't care much for the union one but the Abe Lincoln concept they've posted on facebook looks cool.

  11. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/devilsdue/mercy-sparx-the-ongoing-series This project's been going for a while, thought I'd bring it to attention here in case anyone else was interested. At the very least it seems like a good deal on some digital comics. I understand that it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but to me the idea behind the series (devil girl is paid to hunt down angels who have gone rogue) is interesting enough.

  13. Hi all, I'm very proud to announce the Australian Animal Miniatures Kickstarter. Over the years a large number of awesome Aussie animals have created as tournament support for the Southern Shrike Bowl and Eucalyptus Bowl Bood Bowl tournaments. We've now got enough different minis that people can make full teams out of them. However, due to their limited nature, many of them are really hard to get hold of and can be expensive when you do. So, as a once off, the 3 miniature companies and 2 tournaments behind the miniatures have all joined forces to make these miniatures available again via this Kickstarter with some awesome bundled rates. So if you've always wanted a Koala with a weed wacker or a bowie knife, or a boxing Kangaroo, or a chainsaw wielding Platypus this Kickstarter is for you. Many of the figures in this Kickstarter will not be available to buy after the Kickstarter has finished, so this may be your best and last chance to get a hold of these minis. Thanks, Olaf the Stout Note: In the interests of full disclosure, I am the tournament organiser for Southern Shrike Bowl, a Blood Bowl tournament that this Kickstarter is helping to support. The Kickstarter itself is being run by Impact Miniatures, the company behind the Chibi Dungeon Adventures Kickstarter, the D14 and D18 Die Kickstarter and the Necronomicon Cthulhu Minis Kickstarter. Feel free to ask any questions. I may not be able to answer them all myself, but I should be able to get the answer pretty quickly.

  16. Hope this isn't a dupe; I couldn't find another thread. Just stumbled onto this one quite late in the game: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/miniongames/futuristic-metal-coins-or-victory-tokens Only 19 hours left as I write this. Unfortunately the project details have become a complete wreck over the campaign, especially shipping charges. These are the denominations: https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/assets/000/420/183/364a0f72593347cfb8c9d8d7838e2c43_large.jpg (the 3 isn't unlocked yet) This spreadsheet helped a fair bit in putting together a pledge: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/87820/minion-games-coin-kickstarter-planner but I believe if you're only getting coins you have to add $5 for every 200 coins beyond what the sheet is telling you. The relevant/active pledge levels appear to be: $12 for 50 coins (+shipping) - pick 5 10-packs $18 for 75 coins (+shipping) - pick 7 10-packs and a 5-pack $24 for 100 coins (+shipping) - pick 10 10-packs $34 for 150 coins (+shipping) - pick 15 10-packs $45 for 200 coins (+shipping) - pick 20 10-packs $63 for 280 coins (+shipping) - pick 28 10-packs $81 for 360 coins (+shipping) - pick 36 10-packs $110 for 500 coins (+shipping) - pick 50 10-packs $132 for 600 coins (+shipping) - pick 60 10-packs $154 for 700 coins (+shipping) - pick 70 10-packs $176 for 800 coins (+shipping) - pick 80 10-packs $198 for 900 coins (+shipping) - pick 90 10-packs $220 for 1000 coins (+shipping) - pick 100 10-packs $264 for 1200 coins (+shipping) - pick 120 10-packs $330 for 1500 coins (+shipping) - pick 150 10-packs $440 for 2000 coins (+shipping) - pick 200 10-packs $550 for 2500 coins (+shipping) - pick 250 10-packs $660 for 3000 coins (+shipping) - pick 300 10-packs $880 for 4000 coins (+shipping) - pick 400 10-packs $1100 for 5000 coins (+shipping) - pick 500 10-packs Anyway, for my gaming needs I've settled on $83 for: 280 coins ($63) two collector packs (1 ea. of every coin) ($10) shipping ($10) I decided on a denomination breakdown of:40x 1 20x 3 40x 5 40x 10 50x 20 30x 50 40x 100 20x 500 Should be enough to play everything from Smallworld to Monopoly with metal coins, and the two collector packs will give me a pair of the denominations missing from the larger pack - 2, 25, 250, 1000, 5000, 10000, just because... Hope folks find this useful!

  20. I just found out a friend of mine started a KS a couple weeks ago (Perils of too many friends on FB.. you dont see everything you need to). She's a recent cancer survivor and is working on her first book of gourmet cupcake recipes. Electronic copies are $10. If you guys know anywhere else to spread the word for this sort of thing, I'd be appreciative. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/18444984/the-evil-cupcake-book
  21. Another KS for a skirmish game. Some of the minis look pretty good, and they are actually done already! Not sure if it's really my style, but might be perfect for some. Linkified
  22. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/435243061/eons-a-strategic-universe-development-game-from-gn OK, these guys are GamerNation Studios, founded by the brains behind d20 Radio, a collection of Game/Geek related podcasts of which I have been a member, co-host, and guest host. They are my friends in meatspace as well as online, and many of you will know them from ReaperCon, as they have been running Star Wars RPG Events for years. So there you go - I'm supporting this kickstarter not only becuase they are my friends (dirty secret - this is their second KS and I didn't back their first) but because this game freaking looks cool! Their initial goal is higher than one might guess it could be, but they are looking for a high production value game, with professionally designed art and high-quality pieces. Rather than ask for a little and say "We'll make it form good materials if we can, but make it crappy if we have to" they are shooting for a professional, real game, right form the outset. If you think this looks awesome to you, please help my friends to produce what I think is an awesome looking game! Oh - and although ReaperCon is after the Kickstarter ends, the GamerNation Studios team will be running games at ReaperCon, both their currently available Game "Edition Wars" and games using the beta product of Eons.

  25. This thing is neat! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1351910088/3doodler-the-worlds-first-3d-printing-pen $75 is too rich for me, but a really cool tool/toy.
