  1. Painted up a number of sailors and fishpeople, as many of you know--but I'm always looking to expand the diversity of my human crew and the grotesquerie of my Innsmouth cadre. So here are Tyrell and Yarmouth, out on a crab-fishing trip. Both are from Crooked Dice. More angles on our anglers here. The folk from Innsmouth town know where the fishing is good! There's some as say they can call the biggest catches to their boats! Subduing the catch though--that's a different matter. Fortunately, Yarmouth is

  3. Worked on some critters. The leeches were painted Walnut Brown and highlighted in medium grey. Then I went over them with Turbo Dork - 3D Glasses. Then wash of Nuln Oil Glossy. Ended up with the slimy/glossy look I was trying for. Dire Crab, I was inspired by the color scheme that many have posted here, which i think they were modeling a Blue Crab which seems to be more green with many interesting colors in it. I painted the whole thing Ivory, and then glazed inks and washes up and tried to be careful on where I laid the wash/ink down. Some wer
  4. I painted this for the RCL limited palette challenge this month. Used only the 5 colors shown. Lots of mixing happened. I'm super happy with it but as always C&C is welcome.
  5. Here is my take on Reaper's really cool undead crab:
  6. Based him off a Sally Lightfoot Crab. Because I like my undead creatures to be bright and colorful. Makes them all the more tragic Base is originally a Corpse Field base by Secret Weapon from my Bag O' Crap, which I modified into coral reef shallows. I imagine he's rising out of the ocean and scuttling up onto shore. Don't know if it's very noticeable, but I used a thin layer of realistic water over the base and I dripped some into the hole in his shell as if he's still got water in there after coming up out of the waves WIP link: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/56761-14501
  7. I said I'd introduce this fellow once I was done with my Burrowing Horror, but I need some advice on how to proceed. Here's what it looks like naked (as in unpainted, still SFW): And here's what I've done so far with it: So my questions are, Where did I go wrong? What can I do next to make this look more convincing and natural, whilst maintaining the vivid colors?
  8. I got Scuttlebones, so I've started painting him! His base is a modified Corpse Field base from Secret Weapon. I'm turning corpses into coral covered rocks I'm going ot painting him like a Sally Lightfoot Crab why? Because I like making undead things all colorful and pretty! It makes the fact they're undead all the more tragic! [like my Nethyrmaul!]
  9. here´s one picture unpainted
