Painted this guy while practicing my drybrushing and paint blending. I think he turned out pretty cool, although I accidently stripped a little paint off the base because I touched it too soon after adding the matte varnish! Lesson learned: let them sit a bit after spraying varnish. As always, I appreciate advice and critiques. Thanks!

Here are three Reaper Bones fungi-folk. Not trying to compete with Malefactus or anything. Just having fun with secondary colors. I tried making my image file sizes smaller but it seemed to make the pictures blurry. What do y'all think?

I painted a sea hag for a D&D session and she murdered a party member! My camera sucks so the pics are really fuzzy. Oh well, she was scary in the game.

I painted these up awhile ago and finally got them varnished. No blog post as these were painted before the blog was started.

I had this idea to paint these guys up in grey. Wanted them to look like they stepped right off the celluloid. The vampire, mummy, Frankenstein's monster and wolfman are all Reaper minis. The Creature from the Black Lagoon is a Four A Miniature. The coffin I got from a pack of Halloween decorations from Michael's Craft Store.

FIGURE...Otherworld (Rust Monster - OWM-DM18)... NOTE...Although not what I would consider a true vintage (a miniature that is 25+ years old) miniature piece...this pesky little creature is one of my favorite fantasy creatures in the D&D type world...I have used him in most cave and dungeon adventures that my group(s) have been it...My group(s) have thrown everything at this little fellow (iron spikes, brass lanterns, hammers...everything but the kitchen sink).

FIGURE...Grenadier (Cave Fisher #2012D - Dwellers of the Deep Set)...circa (1980) NOTE...In all my years of fantasy gaming, I have never used this creature in an encounter of any kind for/with any of my adventure groups.

This is a rock tangler or rock stropper creature that the adventure group can encounter in the wilderness. It is very dangerous because it has (6 attack dice = 1 for each tentacle...hits on (4-5-6 of 1D6) and does 2HP damage with each hit...On the left is what it looks like before it is encountered (a pile of rocks)...each table top game board has (6) such rock pile formations on it...any one of them could be the creature...or none may be the creature...but these rock piles have to be searched to see if there is any money pouch or treasure bag hidden in them...This is an old metal miniature piece and a great deal of fun to play with.
