  1. http://kck.st/1YVyxwv Wren posted this on Facebook. I was instantly taken by the artwork of the critters. First thing I thought was these would make awesome minis!! Backed the game + the NSFW expansion. Looking forward to seeing this one.
  2. For Minivember I will try to do a different model each day (duplicates or similar models (from the same unit or suchlike still only count as one!). If you want to see the rest of my minivember minis, feel free to have a look at my painting blog..I won't be posting each and every one here, just the Reaper minis and maybe some that I find especially interesting. Yes, they will be speedpaints, just like all my minis. Seeing as I am starting out a week late, I have some catching up to do... Christmas is not too far off, and Critters are fun and here is Beary the Bear with Wolverinie the Wolverine (probably searching for Porcupiney the Porcupine, who is to carry the new Savior of Critterkind to be born on Christmas Eve. Unless the Mountain Lion eats them all. You know the story. Your common or garden variety Brown Bear and Wolverine. They might seem smallish, but that is just because they are in a natural/realistic scale, as opposed to the overlarge Dire variants we usually see in mini form. And anyway, what the Wolverine lacks in size, it makes up in sheer bloodymindedness! This one does not have any healing factor though. Bear and Wolverine and Magpie (or whatever is is supposed to be), from the 77216 Companion Animals set. Reaper Bones KS 2 Bonesium PVC Bear mounted on a round lipped 30mm base Wolverine and Magpie mounted on a 3x2cm oval base from Warbases
  3. My reapercon diorama entry. It received a bronze medal and plenty of constructive suggestions. I do like doing the critters on occasion, it's a nice break from skin tones. Anyway here is our intrepid group of furry critters driving back the thing in the well, or trying at least....
  4. I could use some help pushing this forward. I have just about reached the end of what I am willing to do with this piece. But I really want to make it better. The concept is an adventuring party stumbles on a pool on the beach and everyone cautiously approaches, well almost everyone. There is always someone in the party who just has to provoke the easy kill. All done with DSM critters. I still plan to add some beach grasses and with the pictures, I can see some blending and touch up issues but I would really welcome some critique on where I can improve these guys. Between work travel and some medical issues I haven't had the time to paint that I would like and my entries are reduced The pieces are in their pin holes but not attached yet as I'm still messing around with positioning. If closeups are helpful I can still take them Thanks for any advice you care to share! Roo
  5. So to finish off the month of March I decided to go ahead and post two little critters I painted recently. I normally would wait to post these guys with the entire piece but I wanted to get them in for the RPChallenge. So here they are prior to basing. And the best shots I could easily get with them on their new home. They both were fun little paints with so much character I love adding critters to bases as they bring such life to a scene.
  6. Some day in the far distant future, we're going to do a mousling campaign. Right now I have all the mouslings availble from reaper, as well as the LJC minis, so I know how they all scale to each other. But I'm thinking that in this far off campaign we'll need other critters. Darksword makes cool critters (seaturtle pirate!). However, darksword doesn't have anything in their pictures to indicate scale. Aside from one picture that compares the big badger to a fox. Not that helpful when you don't know how big the fox is in the first place. Anyway, does anyone here have some of the Darksword critters and could maybe post pictures with some reaper minis (mouslings would be best) so I can get an idea of how big they are? I'm specifically wanting any of their turtles, the owl mage , possum, guinea pigs, squirrel, or mice. I have a frog, so I don't need those so much. Soooo much cuteness~
  7. These little guys were loads of fun to paint and I felt like they needed to have their own little habitat to live in. So I built them one. Step-by-step W.I.P. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49983-olearys-wip-thread-of-everything-reaper/page-2
