  1. Here is the round 3 chatter/photo thread. As before, I'll edit this post with the coordinators and groups. Round 2 is dead, long live round 3!! Arrival/departure thread is now up: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/64345-the-travels-of-sir-forscale-and-friends-box-of-goodwill-round-3-arrival-departure-thread-no-chatter/ And as promised, here are the coordinators and groups; if I missed anybody or otherwise goofed up somehow, let me know. 2. It's summer time; it's too hot to do anything outside, unless you like sunburns and heat stroke. You really need to look into something you can do inside. But what? How about painting some cool miniatures? 'But I don't have any cool miniatures!', you cry. You may have heard about the fabled 'Box of Goodwill'. Maybe you were involved last time, maybe you're new and would like to see what it's all about. Well, you're in the right place!! Read on: This is the official, soon to be patented sign up thread for round 3. As before, please provide the following info in your replies to th
  3. So the mailman just brought this AWESOME piece to my door. This is the summer exchange that Ub3r_N3rd did for me. I think it's absolutely incredible; if you're involved with the 'Randomness' threads at all, there's a lot of Easter eggs in this piece for you to find. Ub3r did a really great job with this, I'm kind of at a loss for words to describe my happiness. Anyway, enough of my gushing, here's the pics: Ub3r_N3rd will be along shortly to add some more pics or link to the ones he took during the building/painting process, check back, I
  4. A conversion I whipped up at Reapercon this year. WIP thread is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/61767-bones-minotaur-with-dragon-arm-conversion/ This is my first time using GS to actually sculpt something (scales on his left shoulder, beard, and mane/hair) and not just fill gaps. I think it turned out fairly well. Front: Back: Ub3r_Nerd suggesting a purplish glaze along the join of the skin and scales. I think I might have overdone it. Did I? Left: Right: I just noticed that spot of paint on his finger; this is after looking the whole thing over to
  5. I picked this fellow out of the Box of Goodwill when it got back to me. It had already been worked on 'with some enamels a long, long time ago' by Thes Hunter. I liked the look of what was already going on, so I made a few tweaks and did a few touch ups to finish him off.
  6. I repainted this DDM figure to go along with my other Bones goblins. He's pretty close to the right size, and he adds a little variety to the group.
  7. I originally posted the WIP over here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/60174-mage-knight-orcs-conversionrepaint/?hl=%2Bmage+%2Bknight+%2Borcs Two of them are still being worked on, but I finally finished this guy off.
  8. I posted this guy/thing in the Bones Conversion thread: At the time, I liked it, but I'm not so sure now. I had originally planned on trying to use GS to fill the gaps and add some scales to the body to try and blend the dragon arm/leg in a little better. My main concern is the gaps between the left arm and the body, along with the size difference between the two. I'm not so sure now, what do you think?Try the GS and see what happens, rip it off and find a different arm, look for a shoulder plate to just hide the gaps, what? Brutal honesty is fine here; if you think i
  9. Another old Mage Knight figure that I have repainted. I forget what it's supposed to be, but I think it'll work well for Wood Golem, Young Treant, or generic woodland/nature spirit. Thanks for looking.
  10. Another old Grenadier figure painted up for the resolutionary challenge. He's supposed to be a dwarf, if I remember correctly. He's probably more of a gnome compared to a lot of today's figures, though. Either way, he's certainly a village elder. I decided to try the all over basing you can see on him; what does everyone think? Good idea, or not? Any C&C would be appreciated.
  11. Painted for the June resolutionary challenge, I submit to you 1 halfling archer made by Grenadier 30+ years ago. Please let me know what you think.
  12. I don't know anything about this, other than that I rescued it from the melt table at this year's Reapercon. There's no marking on the bottom, so if anyone knows who made this feel free to let me know. C&C is always welcome.
