  1. lstormhammer? Where've you been? In a bottle, not one filled with paint. (I'm better, now) So yeah, it's Stern, painted as a Paladin, on a quckie ice base. I'm pretty happy with it. Cold start to snapped pics in about 2 hours. I did some NMM effects on the plate armor, used AP Speed Paint and then drybrushed a warm white for the glowing gold sword, then cheaped out and threw some gold metallics on the sword itself. The base is some odds and ends attached to a Wizkids base, Stern got a pin in his ankle to secure him into the rocks he's standing on, then everything got some Vallejo matte varnish to finish. C+C is always accepted, I'm trying to go through my absolutely Herculean amount of backlogged plastic miniatures, so hopefully we'll see more of this. Oh, and let's not forget to tag his namesake in, @Stern Kestrelmann
  2. Latest tormentor for my D&D group. Legs were a bit wonky to put together but I got them in the end. What do you think?
  3. So one of the things I'm doing right now is that I'm about to run a pirate-based campaign, and as such I'm going to try to hone my skills by painting my way through a large chunk of Reaper's pirate and marine based minis, among others! We'll start with an NPC pirate captain: I actually painted him a while ago, but still would love tips in case I go back and touch him up!
  4. In my re-basing spree I got to my scorpions. It was a really early paintjob and they needed a good touchup and a rebase. I went for a desert look on the bases and did some touch ups. I do not even have pictures of the old version! The two 'big' ones are 03528: Dust Scorpions from the Dark Heaven Legends line. So not the Bones, but the metal. I think the smaller ones might be from really old Games Workshop bits... unsure. Anyone have an idea?
  5. I finally finished painting my fire elementals project. The project contains the following four minis: - 77196: The small fire elemental (Bones) - 77083: The medium fire elemental (Translucent red) - 02251: The fire elemental (Dark Haven Legends) - 77082: The large fire elemental (Translucent red) I have to say it was fun to paint the small, medium and large ones... But the huge one was just a lot of work, phft! I finished though! Woot!
