  1. Recently arrived from Japan, here's my work on the Space Marine Heroes III: Death Guard set.
  2. I knew it... sooner or later I'd end up painting a Space Marine. One of my friends gave me a spare Marine in MkIII armour, so I decided on the Death Guard as I've always liked their colour scheme. It's fun to paint pristine white armour and then slap so much brown ink on it that it would have been easier to just drop it in a pot of coffee.
  3. Inspired by my acquisition of the new easy-build Blightlord kit and wanting to field some different formations for 40k, I built up a few extra Blightlord Terminators and painted them all up! Here comes Fat Voldemort and the Pants-Poopin' Crew. "Smile, lads!" The whole crew. Fat Voldemort himself. He's just so happy! The Spewer-Crewer: The Reaper Autocannon. The Flail of Corruption: The only guy actually equipped with a Combi-Plasma, which they'll probably all be using: Bone-Guy: Tentacool: Mr. Spikey: The Axeman:
  4. The most recent project has been a return to working on my Nurgle forces for 40k. I'd been finishing up some Plague Zombies I had started before 8th even hit...I'll have more of these guys in the army than the actual Poxwalkers: They were a bit cut out, but you can see the also in progress vehicles in the background. From some fun sales events, I have the bits for so so many Mantic Zombies sitting around, and plan on diversifying the Pox horde to represent most of the 40k forces post-life. Distraction, however, arrived in the form of Marine reinforcement! I love the fact that the new Marine models actually live up to their reputation of gigantic bio-engineered super-soldiers. While it is a bit sad to slowly upgrade my Chaos forces to a more focused Legion, I wound up selling off or trading my older Plague Marines who look silly compared to these new guys. The new models, while having less options and more strict builds, are quite impressive. The Deathshroud basically only have head choices (and a few swap outs for the Champion), but they do stand out: While I plan on converting most of the new character options from the Death Guard codex like the Biologus Putrifier, Foul Bloatspawn, and Ichor-Bearing Gooeycopyrightablename, I had to get the official mini for the Tallyman. Power Abacus!
  5. I’m happy with the progress so far, but every time I take photos I can see missed spots or places that would benefit from more attention. Apologies for double post. Admins, Plz erase one of your choice.
  6. I’m happy with the progress so far, but every time I take photos I can see missed spots or places that would benefit from more attention.

  8. I’m happy with the progress so far, but every time I take photos I can see missed spots or places that would benefit from more attention.
  9. Another batch of rotters, fresh off the assembly line! The forces of the Brothers of Rust get more...rank! (Badum tish) Converted Biologus Putrifiers: Also converted, a set of Foul Blightspawn: Icon Bearers: Blight Launchers:
  10. Let's get Nurgly, Nurgly! Here's the latest reinforcements for the Brotherhood of Rust, devout followers of Grandfather Nurgle. The (un)Holy Accountant, the Tallyman! "This my Power Abacus!" Those dread bodyguards, high in price in both points and dollars, the Deathshroud Terminators! The rustiest of them all, the Blightlord Terminators: The grunts of any Death Guard force, the ever-versatile and never dying Plague Marines!
  11. After some time, I finally wrapped up my two sets of Death Guard from the new Warhammer 40,000 starter set, "Dark Imperium". The entire second set is converted, I'm not a fan of clones in my armies. The rotting masses: The Lord of Contagion, no real work done to him other than the paint: Rotbringer Goth'ma, my count-as Typhus, built from the Lord of Contagion: The Malignant Plaguecaster, another standard build: And an Icon Bearer, converted from the Plaguecaster: The Putrid Blightbringer: A Sorcerer conversion from the Blightbringer. He could also count as Necrosius: The Plague Champion: He's the only non-Poxwalker who I didn't convert for the second copy. I set him aside, as there's another Plague Champion coming in the First Strike starter set. Maybe he'll be useful for one of the new entries when the Death Guard codex comes out.
  12. To add to the number of projects I'm falling behind on, I picked up the new 40k boxed set, "Dark Imperium": I'm really liking what I've seen for the new 40k, and although I haven't gotten a real game in in a long time, I've played Nurgle Chaos Space Marines for a long time. It's really cool to seem Marines the size they're supposed to be. I skipped over assembly photos, and went straight to the drybrushed armor. I think there's some shoulders and skin done in this photo, too: I haven't even primed the Poxwalkers yet. I already have a ton of modern/sci-fi zombie types, and while I do plan on using the new sculpts, I want to convert the second half a bit before I paint them. You can see my previous project, the poor Cave Goblins (of The Hobbit films), literally pushed to the side. I may work on them as a co-project, as they would make great Poxwalkers!
  13. This is my take on Typhus, Death Guard champion of Nurgle. Added a nurgling to his base and swapped his scythe blade out for a glaive because I thought it looked more awesome on him and I wanted to steal his scythe blade for a daemon prince conversion. Note, I have decided that taking pictures of Nurgle paint schemes is a major pain. The nastiness looks awesome for the force but taking pictures is a bear.
  14. We return to the foul forces of Nurgle to view my Death Guard Dreadnought from Forge World. Played with matte (corroded, dirty) and gloss(puss and other nastiness) surfaces on this one. No real conversion on this one, just added a couple of Nurglings to the base.
  15. This rhino tank conversion (Games Workshop 40K vehicle) was an exercise in making it look like it had fought the 10,000 year crusade to unseat the corpse-emperor without any trips to the maintenance depot. Painted it up for Nurgle's Death Guard (pestilence and decay) but refrained from mutating it much. I'm pretty pleased with the nastiness, though if I had an airbrush I probably could have done muuuuuch better.
  16. This is the first of my 40k Chaos Marine Daemon Prince conversions from a few years back, a Daemon Prince/Skaven Vermin Lord mashup for Nurgle. I'm still very pleased with the conversion and paint on this figure and probably wouldn't change anything if I did it now.
