  1. Link to the KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=536452506464116&set=a.483655895077111.1073741829.463135873795780&type=1&theater
  2. Link to KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/xenoshyft-onslaught There will be a new KS from CMON this months. This time without Miniatures, using cards. It will be a Strategic Survival Horror Game. It is a cooperative game.
  3. both display and 30mm model versions https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/992588066/arcane-factories-season-1
  4. I'm sure many of us have already seen this, but there is a Kickstarter going on to reprint Castles and Crusades. The project is already funded and well on it's way to passing the second stretch goal. The plan is to print all three core books in color when the pertinent stretch goals are passed. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676918054/castles-and-crusades
  5. I see this morning that Hanger 18 rebooted their kickstarter. I read through it and I think they are definitely on the right track this time and I expect it to be quite successful. A big plus is it looks like a fair number if not all of the sculpts are finished so they shouldn't have a problem hitting their delivery dates unless the whole thing just explodes. If you don't like 54mm there is an option for smaller 32mm versions as well. I'm in the midst of a job change right now so I'm not sure I have the funds to jump in but if you like the Bawidamann art style for pin ups I think you will love these. I have seen a couple of the prototypes up close and personal and I think they are going to be great! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/710406053/modern-pinup-miniatures-bawidamann-style
  6. This isn't a miniature related but a good friend of mine, and a judge for the Painting Excuses contests here, is running a campaign to help pay his medical bills and start a foundation (with what money is left over) to help other authors with mental health problems. Donate some money and get a cool anothology that a lot of authors have donated to. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/altered-perceptions/x/597234#home Few things to get out of the way here: 1) Yes this is indiegogo and flex funding as it's Charity. Can't do this on kickstarter. 2) The money donated do not go towards the cost of printing the book. Those costs are being covered by author Brandon Sanderson. This means that you can ignore the amount to get funded as if you pledge you get a book no matter what and all the money you give goes to Rob. So what's in it? Lots of good stuff. A high-quality hardback book featuring writing from the following authors: Ally Condie, the foreword Dan Wells, the introduction Annette Lyon, An unpublished chapter from her retelling of the Finnish fairy tale, the Kalevala Aprilynne Pike, Three short stories from the Wings universe. Brandon Mull, Deleted scenes from Beyonders 2 Brandon Sanderson, five completely rewritten chapters from The Way of Kings, where Kaladin makes the opposite choice of what he makes in the published novel. Bree Despain, an alternate ending to The Lost Saint, and an alternate beginning to the Shadow Prince. Brodi Ashton, the first chapter from her YA novel about an unwilling alien fighter who has to rescue the boy she loves Claudia Gray, a deleted scene from A Thousand Pieces of You. Dan Wells, the original John Cleaver free write Erin Bowman, a deleted scene from Taken Howard Tayler, a creative non-fiction story about life with mental illness J Scott Savage, three original chapters that led to writing Farworld Jaqueline Novak, a scene from her humor non-fiction How To Weep in Public Jennifer Moore, a deleted scene from Becoming Lady Lockwood Jessica Day George, a deleted scene from Princess of Glass, where the main character plays poker with a witch Josi Kilpack, the original opening scene to Tres Leches Cupcake. Kiersten White, an original short story, set in a dystopian, sci-fi world. Larry Correia, deleted fight scene from the Sword of Exodus Lauren Oliver, two deleted scenes from Pandemonium, plus a hilarious scene about the plotting process Luisa Perkins, a short story, "Seeing Red"--a modern-day retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Mary Robinette Kowal, deleted scene from Valor and Vanity (scene was cut because readers thought the scene was trying to depict depression) Nancy Allen, bonus scene from Beauty and the Clockwork Beast Robison Wells, an epilogue to Feedback and the Variant duology Sandra Tayler, creative non-fiction, "Married To Depression" Sara Zarr, Chapter including characters from one of Sara's previously published works Sarah Eden, "Farewells" for Longing For Hope and Hope Springs Seanan McGuire, The original opening for Discount Armageddon Shannon Hale, Ravenous, a previously unpublished scifi short story SJ Kincaid, the original first chapter of Vortex, before it was entirely rewritten John C. Wright, a short story from Hermetic Millenia And, since this is a gaming forum, here's terrain that rob makes:

  8. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tabletop-season-3-with-wil-wheaton The $1m mark will enable them to do an RPG version of the show as well!
  9. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/121511007/prodigy-the-game Miniatures (pre-painted) combined with video games... All I can say the minis look pretty good so hopefully there will be an option to buy un-prepainted versions as well! Oh, and it seems Jean Bey, the former owner of Rackham/Confrontation, is behind this.
  10. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/543217832/pasts-personas-and-prophecies-a-tabletop-rpg A RPG system that asks alls characters What do you love, what do you hate, and why are you adventuring? What got me most wasn't the 3 question bit (although as a fan of the Order 66 podcast I agree those are important character questions) but it was the Prophecy system. (Scroll down to the $50 pledge level and look at the video beside that box) It's pretty neat, and once again puts me in the position of heaving more KSs I want to back active right now than I am allowed to back due to my budget!
  11. I just thought all the tabletop RPG fans would like to know about this one. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1212663429/table-titans-volume-1-first-encounters Still 15 days left and some great collectibles in some of the pledge levels and some really cool tier- add ons. Check it out if you like comics.
  12. Ye Olde Skoole RPG setting gets a reboot: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/judgesguild/city-state-of-the-invincible-overlord "City State of the Invincible Overlord, the first and one of the largest fantasy RPG city settings in gaming history, written by Judges Guild founders Bob Bledsaw and Bill Owen, defines sand-box roleplaying by giving information for over 350 shops, taverns, inns, palaces, barracks, temples, and the NPCs who inhabit them! City State of the Invincible Overlord was first released at Gen Con IX in 1976, along with Wilderlands Campaign Map I: The City State. The City State was written for the Judges Guild's Wilderlands of High Fantasy Campaign Setting but can be easily adapted and dropped into any setting."
  13. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rafaelchandler/lusus-naturae-a-gruesome-old-school-bestiary Funded already.. only one stretch goal posted so far..
  14. Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ConflictRPG/combat-description-cards-for-storytellers-and-gms Edit: Looks like stretch goals begin at $25 for physical items and $15 for digital items. A 100+ card deck of action words and examples of combat strikes. Helping storytellers know what to say or write when describing combat!
  15. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/455211959/inceptor-the-game-of-your-dreams It's actually not a game within a game, it's a game about being the crew of the movie Inception. Looks like it has interesting gameplay.
  16. I don't think there's a thread for this... Anyways, Meeple Source has a fantastic "Character Meeples!" Kickstarter currently up, with 10 days to go! Really cute and great for games that use meeples. There are even meeples designed for specific games (Tiny Epic Kingdoms, Lords of Waterdeep, Pandemic, Agricola). But if you aren't into any of those, they have other great designs like the Oz characters, dragons, Cthulhu, etc. I'm personally dying for the Medusa meeple (which hasn't been unlocked just yet). Other favorites include the Centaur, Valkyrie, Undead, and Fairy. Check it out if you're interested: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1303699463/character-meeples

  18. Is anyone backing the Mech vs Kaiju kickstarter? It isn't a miniature kickstarter, but rather a FATE based RPG that provides a great excuse to use CAV miniatures and Khanjira! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1171175182/mecha-vs-kaiju-a-sci-fi-anime-rpg-for-fate-core
  19. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1280484354/world-of-twilight-travels-through-anyaral?ref=search Twilight is a small scale skirmish game set in the unique fantasy world of Anyaral. I've been working on the world and the game for well over a decade and since 2009 I have written and published the first two books in the series, released a wide range of finely sculpted miniatures and built a community of enthusiastic gamers, world builders and painters. What is Twilight? •Unique alternate fantasy setting with a deep and evocative background •A wide range of existing figures •Fast, fun ruleset for skirmish wargames •Three distinct cultures, each with a unique playstyle plus a larger number of different subcultures to give even more choice The Kickstarter I'm very excited to present this kickstarter! For the last year I've been working on the third Twilight book; Travels through Anyaral. It is now almost complete and this is your opportunity to help me get it into production (as well as getting some fun toys in the process)! If you have already tried World of Twilight then this is a great way to round off your collection with the new book, PLUS a limited resin edition model of Gil Masharl, Travelling Biologist, with his lizardy pet on his shoulder and an interesting hat. 7
  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/funforge/tokaido-collectors-edition So, I've never encountered this game before, but it looks pretty neat. Lots of goodies - 66 minis once we hit 250K, fifty metal "coin" tokens, an art book, a musical track, and a bunch of other gubbins. The stretch goal inclusive set, upon reaching 250K, is going to have: 16 Unpainted 30mm Character Minis 16 Prepainted 30mm Character Minis 16 Character Tiles 16 Unpainted 30mm Character Alts 16 Prepainted 30mm Character Alts 16 Character Tile Alts 1 Unpainted 30mm "Eriku" Mini 1 Prepainted 30mm "Eriku" Mini 1 "Eriku" Tile 2 Game Boards 172 Cards (for both TOKAIDO and the Crossroads Expansion) 4 Limited Edition "Encounters" Cards 5 Plastic "Scoring Token" Minis 50 Metal Coins 1 Coin Bag 1 Wooden Die a 25-track Soundtrack of traditional music to play to and the Digital Art Book I'm going to hop in just based on the minis and the coins; the game is really just a bonus for me. And I love the soundtrack - they have a sample up, and it's great. I really like that they're adding both prepaints and unpainted figures, too; that way I'll have a complete set for the game as soon as I get it, and some others to paint at my leisure. All in all, if this does arrive in November, I'll probably not open it until Christmas so I can play it with my aunts and uncles. It seems like a good game for that sort of thing. Have any of you guys played it?
  21. After some discussion amongst the family (we all like playing board games and such) we've decided to back Scoville, a game by Tasty Minstrel Games and Panda Game Manufacturing. You can check it out on Kickstarter at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/michaelmindes/scoville-the-hottest-farming-euro-game-ever?ref=live I've backed a few other games from TMG and find them fun to play and usually quite well explained. The KS ends on Friday night (Sat, Feb 22 2014 1:00 AM EST.) and is looking good to cover all of their stretch goals. And as a bonus for the EU Reaper Peeps interested:
  22. I just came across a random link to a modest looking kickstarter that might be of interest to anime fans. It is a Miyazaki inspired RPG rulebook that sounds kid friendly. And it's only $20 for a printed rulebook, with free shipping worldwide. It isn't something I would normally back, but I like the simple looking project with sensible stretch goals, and I figure the rule book will make a nice gift for my niece. It's got a couple days left, and has already unlocked all the stretch goals. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brentnewhall/the-whispering-road-a-miyazaki-inspired-tabletop-r
  23. Well, the HeroQuest Kickstarter crowdfunding is in its final few hours - I ended up being pushed over the event horizon by my girlfriend, and went in for the 110 Euro pledge. HeroQuest was her introduction to fantasy gaming - I brought my old, battered, but much loved original copies over to her mum's house for Thanksgiving. She still loves that game. And... there are some elements that I am seeing that I really like - the mummies look like dried cadavers instead of Egyptian mummies, and the terrain looks fantastic. Hopefully.... I will be able to drag the Anniversary edition to her mum's for next Christmas. The Auld Grump
  24. Zombie 15' is a game like Zombicide or Zpocalypse. You have only 15 Minutes to win the game. During a scenario you are playing a CD and every time you hear zombies growling, more of them will appear. It looks like they will get their game translated in many languages later, but translated versions will not appear with this Kickstarter. :-(
  25. I like what I see in this Kickstarter, but I have really enough miniatures coming this year. (enough = can't afford more, there are never enough minis!) HIGH HEAVENS, the board game where gods battle in the skies!
