RAFM Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition Kickstarter has reached a new Stretch Goal! Thanks to all that helped us reach these two important milestones! We have updated the page to support the $25,000 stretch goal being met. The Module Collector Pledge Level now has over $270.00 MSRP worth of metal miniatures for the great price of only $115 plus shipping. With more stretch goals opening up that value will only increase! As promised we posted the concept art of Father Dagon and Mother Hydra. See the concept art area. Thanks for the ideas keep them coming! Stretch Goal for $31,000 level has been added. We are looking forward to reaching $37,000, that will be the next big goal, so let's get to $31,000 so we can see the goodies. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/941525798/rafm-call-of-cthulhu-7th-edition-miniatures

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1821440755/mega-mantm-the-board-game Seems on the expensive side. $60-140 with some first 24 hour deals. Already close to funding.

So I'm super-excited about this one, didn't see it in a search, so I thought I'd toss it up. Gonna gotta trim a few things from Bones II, but for the price, these look cool, and they cost about as much as a single Chessex, so I figure it's worth skipping the figure case... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splork/map-flats-vinyl-tabletop-rpg-maps I'm doing the 40$ one, unless I can scrounge up another 10$ in the next hour for the 60. The stretch goals are where this one really shines, though... So far we've got: $7500 - The Keep*. All core sets will include a two floor keep. Both floors of this structure is 24"X30" and is the perfect addition to the Map Flats family. $8000 - Merchant Ship*. All core sets will include a 4 floor merchant ship. These ships will be put out on four 10"X30" maps. $9000 - Dungeon Map*. All core sets will include a 2X4 foot dungeon vinyl map with 1 inch square grids. $10,000 - Double Sided Maps* - All maps will be double sided with square 1 inch grids on one side and 1 inch hex patterns on the reverse side. $12000 - 2X4 upgraded to 3X5* Dungeon and Plains map sizes are upgraded to 3'X5'. But I'm hoping we hit $15,000 - Surm Kara Crater Teaser* - This is a teaser set for another part of D'Nal. Once home to an ancient metropolis tens of thousands of years ago, the Surm Kara (land of the dead) crater is all that remains. It is said that a great fire destroyed the city and all of it’s surroundings. It was a fire so terrible that to this day even vegetation will not grow on the lands. This does not mean that the area is void of life. Many adventurers seek ancient treasures and glory in the crater, but few return. Those unfortunate few, however, return with grim stories of strange and distorted creatures prowling the barren lands, taking refuge in the crumbled remains of a long forgotten city. At this level we will include the following maps: (Qty: 1) Surm Kara Crater Terrain Map (3'X5') (Qty: 4) Scavenger tent (4X5) (Qty: 1) Chieftains domicile (6X6) (Qty: 1) Crumbled Building remains 1 (12X10) (Qty: 1) Crumbled Building remains 2 (10X8) (Qty: 1) Crumbled Building remains 3 (8X6) (Qty: 1) Crumbled Building remains 4 (6X4) So come, join me so I can get some of that sweet, sweet crater. And ruined buildings. NEED. This is why I don't mind folks cross-pollenating on KS after the pledging's done. I would be sad if I had missed this... So thanks, Alan and Jim Johnson!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/458846070/labyrinths-customized-modular-dungeon-terrain Iron Ring Games, a Canadian game and game component company, is proud to introduce Labyrinths, customized modular terrain. Labyrinths is our new 25mm gaming terrain that is a fresh approach to the classic 3-D terrain used with RPG's, board games, and tabletop war games. Labyrinths are made from a grey color-infused, high strength die stone, making the game pieces durable, affordable, and visually appealing right out of the box. These guys are making Hirst Arts licensed terrain sets and have hit their funding already. Personally I'm pretty happy to be able to get the terrain without having to pay shipping from the US :)

Aliens, Predators, and Marines. Oh my! KS now LIVE! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/513277403/alien-vs-predator-the-miniatures-game?ref=live According to the AVP facebook page. Looks like CMON is only involved in distribution this time and not in production. Lots of negativity over them being involved in this at all. Looks like delays in delivery of past CMON projections and the disappointments over Sedition Wars is causing much hand wringing across the interwebz. EDIT: updated with link.

Sorry for the non-miniature Kickstarter, but this is for the City of Heroes successor known as City of Titans. The project is funded now and into the last few hours, but getting a successor to CoH is something that I'm really looking forward to so I couldn't resist giving them a shout out. It's basically grown out of a group of fans trying to resurrect the game and if the final result is half as fun as City of Heroes was it'll become my MMO of choice. :) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/missingworldsmedia/the-phoenix-project-city-of-titans

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diamondsutra/ryuutama-natural-fantasy-role-playing-game Ryuutama is a fantasy RPG originally published in Japanese and now translated into English! It is meant to be a game that takes the "NPCs" of a fantasy world (farmers, merchants, etc) and has them go on journeys. As they go on their journey and encounter strange new lands and exciting new things, a dragon (played by the GM) watches over them and records their journey... and can assist them. The type of dragon the GM chooses influences the "flavor" of the story. I've been looking forward to seeing this game translated for years now! The company doing so has already successfully Kickstarted another project, Tenra Bansho Zero (and fulfilled beautifully). They also were a part of the Maid: The RPG translation project. So they have experience and are working very closely with both the original creator of the game and also one of the original artists for the game. I wish I could tell you more about the game than is available on the Kickstarter page or the webpage, but it's honestly all I know about the game as I'm very, super slowly learning Japanese and haven't read or played it before.

This isn't a miniature's Kickstarter but I find many who like minis and gaming tend to like cartoons as well Fredanator is doing a Kickstarter to fund Bee and Puppycat. They have the first episode up online for people who want to check it out and it's a fun series that deserves to be made. More importantly it deserves to be made without a production commitee ruining it by insisting on a checklist of "marketable items" to include. So if you want to pitch in or just want to check out the first episode here is the link http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/frederator/bee-and-puppycat-the-series

Knite & The Ghost Lights: (Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux) I found this Kickstarter and was impressed with the fact that everything in game is built in miniature as claymation and then converted to video game and the lowest buy-in at just $10. Here's the main character, Knite, shown within the environment of the game. This kind of video game is so cool as it applies to my skill set and style. Description of Game Play: Knite & The Ghost Lights is unique take on the classic side-scrolling action adventure game - filled with puzzles, platforming, hidden surprises, tons of magic and exploration. One of the most fun and unique features is the way the game lets you play with light and music to control your surroundings. Be ready to experience: Beautiful hand-crafted environments with meticulous attention paid to every detail Unique use of lighting that plays an integral part in gameplay and puzzle solving Lush music and soundtrack that is seamlessly woven into the story and gameplay. Eccentric cast of characters that truly bring Mistland to life Unparalleled level of realism and depth – all game objects built from real-life models I personally am in for the sound track level at $10 but might just boost it to help ensure this gets made.

Totally not a miniatures Kickstarter, though the topic might seem familiar to anyone who's ever shopped for female character miniatures: Glamazons vs The Curse of the Chainmail Bikini

I have to go outside the normal bounds I set for myself on this one and post it to share. I usually hate doing this, and this isn't a miniatures related kickstarter, but I can't help myself. Back in the heydays of Nintendo, my best friend and I wasted so much time on the original River City Ransom, that it wasn't funny. In fact, even after we had 'grown up' into Playstation and PC games, we kept coming back to this game for the shear fun of it. The first game tells the story of Alex and Ryan on a quest to save Ryan's girlfriend from Slick. The fun part was the crazy names of the gangs you fight (who doesn't love gangs named The Squids or Generic Dudes?), the weird items you could eat/read/use/wear to power up, and the way you could interact with your environment in River City (go ahead and try messing with me while I have a trash can to throw at you!). Anyway, seems this company Conatus Creative has gotten the rights to the game and it's cannon. They plan on making an updated version of the game for PC with a release date some time in late 2014. I will say, I am a fan of the material, but have no idea about the reputation of the company involved. Please take a look and join in if you think its worth it! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/combitstudios/river-city-ransom-underground

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cqgames/the-best-damn-metal-gaming-coins-ever?ref=category Some ancient Greek style metal coins for RPGs, board games or just for fun. Seems to be a good quantity for the price. What I really like about them is the size, a lot bigger then others I have seen. What I don't like is that you only get 1 gold per set (but it is a big 'un!).

Venerable RPG game of adventuring on Colonial-era Mars gets a dust-off/reboot. This seems to be going well. It's close to having some miniature add-ons unlocked. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/440453703/space-1889-sf-role-playing-in-a-more-civilized-tim?ref=category Cheers. (Couldn't find this listed already -- apologies if I missed it.) P.S. seems to be primarily a translation of a book that already exists in German, plus some of the stretch goals / add-ons that are new.

RED AEGIS Roleplaying Game I describe this game as an epic fusion between Dungeon & Dragons and Sid Meier’s Civilization. The game has reached its initial funding goal and is now targeting several stretch goals. One of the stretch goals that may be of interest to Reaper fans is RED AEGIS TACTICS, a miniatures skirmish game designed by Vorpal Games' lead developer, Matt James. Check out the Kickstarter io9.com interview: "Control the epic sweep of history in the fascinating new RPG Red Aegis" Geek Native interview: "RED AEGIS promises hard choices and a new style of RPG" -Brian R. I have the original, and will probably be in for the new version because I like the theme. Looks cool :)

Satellite Reign. A real-time, class-based strategy game, set in an open world cyberpunk city, from the creator of Syndicate Wars. Closing in 3 days, and it looks like it'll make funding no problems. Be interesting to see if they manage to get any of the stretch goals funded. It does look gorgeous, and with Shadowrun Returns delivering in the next 36 hours, I need another dystopian Cyberpunk game in the oven. Pledged. If nothing else, check out the concept artwork in the updates: the soldier looks like he could headbutt his way through a tank.
