  1. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diamondsutra/ryuutama-natural-fantasy-role-playing-game Ryuutama is a fantasy RPG originally published in Japanese and now translated into English! It is meant to be a game that takes the "NPCs" of a fantasy world (farmers, merchants, etc) and has them go on journeys. As they go on their journey and encounter strange new lands and exciting new things, a dragon (played by the GM) watches over them and records their journey... and can assist them. The type of dragon the GM chooses influences the "flavor" of the story. I've been looking forward to seeing this game translated for years now! The company doing so has already successfully Kickstarted another project, Tenra Bansho Zero (and fulfilled beautifully). They also were a part of the Maid: The RPG translation project. So they have experience and are working very closely with both the original creator of the game and also one of the original artists for the game. I wish I could tell you more about the game than is available on the Kickstarter page or the webpage, but it's honestly all I know about the game as I'm very, super slowly learning Japanese and haven't read or played it before.
  2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/240962318/fantasy-coins-from-the-far-eastern-realms Welcome back to Askrias! Half a year ago, 340 backers has helped with my first project: Fantasy Coins from the Eastern Realms, and with their help, 8 great tooling has been created as a result of it! Fantasy Coins from the Eastern Realms Ever since then, there has been a lot of people asking if they could join in on the project, however because I was tied up with other projects and production, I could not have added them in. Now that most of the backers has received their coins, today series 2 will go live! Is your gaming group heading over to a Eastern realm? Then these coins are perfect to bring in the flavour! First of all, the original 8 designs are available for purchasing, and with series 2, another 4 designs have been added! The funding goal will go towards in creating the tooling for the 4 designs, I'm sure that it's no problem for everyone! I will take a bit of time to show everyone the designs...

  6. So.... Despite the fact that there have been a few combat sports games out recently, I really like the look of the figures in this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/frogthewhatgames/slaughterball-brutally-deluxe-sci-fi-sports-board It is funded, check it out if you are interested.
  7. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/seankreynolds/five-moons-rpg-by-sean-k-reynolds A new Fantasy RPG by Sean K. Reynolds, former designer for both WotC (2nd and 3rd Ed) and Paizo (Pathfinder). He's got a hugely informative Blog about his thought processes and design goals.
  8. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1809547312/grow-the-organic-building-game From the Kickstarter: An artistic, 3-D building game fused with territory control for up to 4 players, where strategy and foresight are key! Grow’s been fortunate enough to be featured at E3 2014 (you heard right, a tabletop game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo!) alongside other great games as a part of the [email protected] showcase. We were also one of the 2013 finalists in the Cards Against Humanity Tabletop Deathmatch design challenge, with great games such as Penny Press and Wizard Dodgeball
  9. I'm cross posting this from Dakkadakka as I know there are a bunch of 'industry' connected types on here. This is the KS he's referring to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/17 ... le-miniatu As backers of this KS are probably aware, the Salamander project received a lot of funding. Though this elevated scale of production caused delays, we had all the masters made and most of the final resin castings done. Unfortunately there's a big problem. For the last month Chris Gotcher (the guy running it all) has been off the grid, no contact with me or any of the subcontractors involved in production, nor any general internet presence. He isn't answering his phone, and product shipments to his home have bounced back to at least once subcontractor. It's hard to truly confirm what's happened to him, but the "ran with the money" theory doesn't seem to fit, seeing as almost everything has been made, just waiting to be shipped. So, getting to the point. I have made contact with the caster who made all the basic Salamander kits and he's willing to work with me, but I'm unable to locate the caster/s that were assigned add-on parts. In order for me to salvage delivery operations I want to gain control of those add-ons. I'm asking as many people as I can involved in the minis biz to help me find these casters. If you know anything, let me know. And just in case you're unsure where I fit into this project. The miniature is my design and falls under my own IP, the Rangers Project, so I'm about the only guy who can take this thing over and finish it for the backers. http://www.dakkadakka.com/s/i/at/2014/6/16/03085ebc657ec5dae750f3f6123da8b4_83389.jpg__thumb (image showing the cast main kit that the forum won't let me post for some reason) you can PM him via Dakka here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/us ... 83389.page, or if you have info but don't want to sign up to Dakka I'm happy to pass on the info
  10. Dust Tactics/ Dust Warfare from Dust Studio has a Kickstarter going ends in 9 days. they do prebuilt miniatures that are pre-primed and ready for paint. they also do pre-painted miniatures for the game to but are higher cost. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/duststudio/dust-operation-babylon/comments
  11. Link to the KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=536452506464116&set=a.483655895077111.1073741829.463135873795780&type=1&theater
  12. I'm sure many of us have already seen this, but there is a Kickstarter going on to reprint Castles and Crusades. The project is already funded and well on it's way to passing the second stretch goal. The plan is to print all three core books in color when the pertinent stretch goals are passed. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676918054/castles-and-crusades
  13. It doesn't have mini's but this is a pretty cool setting. It's already had a Kickstarter for the FATE edition. This is for the Savage Worlds version. $10 gets you the PDF, $15 gets you PDF + Stretch Goals. $20 + DTRPG Print costs for a physical book. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/804836187/nova-praxis-savage-worlds-edition This is one of those KS that will fulfill through Drive Thru RPG for their physical books. So you pledge for the book and you get a code for an at cost print from Drive Thru. I like the fact that they give you an estimate for what each version will cost. The setting itself is amazing if you like games along the lines of Cthulhutech or Traveller.
  14. Cool looking game with a lot of comic style. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iello/guardians-chronicles
  15. This isn't a miniature related but a good friend of mine, and a judge for the Painting Excuses contests here, is running a campaign to help pay his medical bills and start a foundation (with what money is left over) to help other authors with mental health problems. Donate some money and get a cool anothology that a lot of authors have donated to. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/altered-perceptions/x/597234#home Few things to get out of the way here: 1) Yes this is indiegogo and flex funding as it's Charity. Can't do this on kickstarter. 2) The money donated do not go towards the cost of printing the book. Those costs are being covered by author Brandon Sanderson. This means that you can ignore the amount to get funded as if you pledge you get a book no matter what and all the money you give goes to Rob. So what's in it? Lots of good stuff. A high-quality hardback book featuring writing from the following authors: Ally Condie, the foreword Dan Wells, the introduction Annette Lyon, An unpublished chapter from her retelling of the Finnish fairy tale, the Kalevala Aprilynne Pike, Three short stories from the Wings universe. Brandon Mull, Deleted scenes from Beyonders 2 Brandon Sanderson, five completely rewritten chapters from The Way of Kings, where Kaladin makes the opposite choice of what he makes in the published novel. Bree Despain, an alternate ending to The Lost Saint, and an alternate beginning to the Shadow Prince. Brodi Ashton, the first chapter from her YA novel about an unwilling alien fighter who has to rescue the boy she loves Claudia Gray, a deleted scene from A Thousand Pieces of You. Dan Wells, the original John Cleaver free write Erin Bowman, a deleted scene from Taken Howard Tayler, a creative non-fiction story about life with mental illness J Scott Savage, three original chapters that led to writing Farworld Jaqueline Novak, a scene from her humor non-fiction How To Weep in Public Jennifer Moore, a deleted scene from Becoming Lady Lockwood Jessica Day George, a deleted scene from Princess of Glass, where the main character plays poker with a witch Josi Kilpack, the original opening scene to Tres Leches Cupcake. Kiersten White, an original short story, set in a dystopian, sci-fi world. Larry Correia, deleted fight scene from the Sword of Exodus Lauren Oliver, two deleted scenes from Pandemonium, plus a hilarious scene about the plotting process Luisa Perkins, a short story, "Seeing Red"--a modern-day retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Mary Robinette Kowal, deleted scene from Valor and Vanity (scene was cut because readers thought the scene was trying to depict depression) Nancy Allen, bonus scene from Beauty and the Clockwork Beast Robison Wells, an epilogue to Feedback and the Variant duology Sandra Tayler, creative non-fiction, "Married To Depression" Sara Zarr, Chapter including characters from one of Sara's previously published works Sarah Eden, "Farewells" for Longing For Hope and Hope Springs Seanan McGuire, The original opening for Discount Armageddon Shannon Hale, Ravenous, a previously unpublished scifi short story SJ Kincaid, the original first chapter of Vortex, before it was entirely rewritten John C. 17. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tabletop-season-3-with-wil-wheaton The $1m mark will enable them to do an RPG version of the show as well!
  18. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/121511007/prodigy-the-game Miniatures (pre-painted) combined with video games... All I can say the minis look pretty good so hopefully there will be an option to buy un-prepainted versions as well! Oh, and it seems Jean Bey, the former owner of Rackham/Confrontation, is behind this.

  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1280484354/world-of-twilight-travels-through-anyaral?ref=search Twilight is a small scale skirmish game set in the unique fantasy world of Anyaral. I've been working on the world and the game for well over a decade and since 2009 I have written and published the first two books in the series, released a wide range of finely sculpted miniatures and built a community of enthusiastic gamers, world builders and painters. What is Twilight? •Unique alternate fantasy setting with a deep and evocative background •A wide range of existing figures •Fast, fun ruleset for skirmish wargames •Three distinct cultures, each with a unique playstyle plus a larger number of different subcultures to give even more choice The Kickstarter I'm very excited to present this kickstarter! For the last year I've been working on the third Twilight book; Travels through Anyaral. It is now almost complete and this is your opportunity to help me get it into production (as well as getting some fun toys in the process)! If you have already tried World of Twilight then this is a great way to round off your collection with the new book, PLUS a limited resin edition model of Gil Masharl, Travelling Biologist, with his lizardy pet on his shoulder and an interesting hat. 7
  21. I just thought all the tabletop RPG fans would like to know about this one. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1212663429/table-titans-volume-1-first-encounters Still 15 days left and some great collectibles in some of the pledge levels and some really cool tier- add ons. Check it out if you like comics.
  22. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rafaelchandler/lusus-naturae-a-gruesome-old-school-bestiary Funded already.. only one stretch goal posted so far..
  23. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/funforge/tokaido-collectors-edition So, I've never encountered this game before, but it looks pretty neat. Lots of goodies - 66 minis once we hit 250K, fifty metal "coin" tokens, an art book, a musical track, and a bunch of other gubbins. The stretch goal inclusive set, upon reaching 250K, is going to have: 16 Unpainted 30mm Character Minis 16 Prepainted 30mm Character Minis 16 Character Tiles 16 Unpainted 30mm Character Alts 16 Prepainted 30mm Character Alts 16 Character Tile Alts 1 Unpainted 30mm "Eriku" Mini 1 Prepainted 30mm "Eriku" Mini 1 "Eriku" Tile 2 Game Boards 172 Cards (for both TOKAIDO and the Crossroads Expansion) 4 Limited Edition "Encounters" Cards 5 Plastic "Scoring Token" Minis 50 Metal Coins 1 Coin Bag 1 Wooden Die a 25-track Soundtrack of traditional music to play to and the Digital Art Book I'm going to hop in just based on the minis and the coins; the game is really just a bonus for me. And I love the soundtrack - they have a sample up, and it's great. I really like that they're adding both prepaints and unpainted figures, too; that way I'll have a complete set for the game as soon as I get it, and some others to paint at my leisure. All in all, if this does arrive in November, I'll probably not open it until Christmas so I can play it with my aunts and uncles. It seems like a good game for that sort of thing. Have any of you guys played it?
  24. I don't think there's a thread for this... Anyways, Meeple Source has a fantastic "Character Meeples!" Kickstarter currently up, with 10 days to go! Really cute and great for games that use meeples. There are even meeples designed for specific games (Tiny Epic Kingdoms, Lords of Waterdeep, Pandemic, Agricola). But if you aren't into any of those, they have other great designs like the Oz characters, dragons, Cthulhu, etc. I'm personally dying for the Medusa meeple (which hasn't been unlocked just yet). Other favorites include the Centaur, Valkyrie, Undead, and Fairy. Check it out if you're interested: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1303699463/character-meeples
  25. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/455211959/inceptor-the-game-of-your-dreams It's actually not a game within a game, it's a game about being the crew of the movie Inception. Looks like it has interesting gameplay.
