  1. So as some of you may have read, I am going to try to do a basic airbrushing tutorial on Friday night, June 24, 2016, starting at about 2100 (9pm) EST on google hangouts. The idea is to show folks the basics and beginnings of how to use an airbrush... This is the mini I chose: I started the clean up, assembly, gap filling, because folks already know how to do that stuff.... I chose it because it is large enough for people to see what is going on when it is being painted, but not so big it takes over my table, like a dragon would... I have done a Type III Demon before, so I won't have to go to crazy figuring things out, and there are some semi advanced things I can try to show as things progress.... So Thanks for looking, and hope to see you at class! George

  3. I've been hitting a slump in my painting that's been keeping me from these forums for quite a while. I'm trying to regain my rythm and getting some pieces done. This is one of them: This is Baal'zhab, High Demon of Hell from Mirlton Fantasy (or at least it's sold by Mirlton Fantasy now). One of the first figures I finished during my slump. I'm quite pleased with the result.

    Reaper Fire Demon

Hey guys back again this time with the awesome Fire demon! This mini has sooo much detail. I had a blast doing this one I literally painted him by using a series of dots on the skin in three different shades of green! There must be thousands of dots lol. I also accented the dots with white cracks. I am very proud of this model, Any comments are wanted and gratefully received! Enjoy,

    Reaper Wolf Demon!

Hey guys todays submission is the freaky Wolf demon. This is the latest focus of my Dungeons and Dragons adventurers ready to squeeze the life out of a half elf Ranger!! I am pleased with the fur effects ,Turquoise with green and blue gradients...Also the tattoos on the body I focussed on the back story of this demon being jilted by her elf lover..Hence the broken heart on her chest! I hope you approve of this paint job! I also finished up the base on this one yaaay! Any comments are received gratefully! Enjoy!

  8. Multicolored demon candies! Since these guys were just so fun, I had to buy a second pack. The yellow one got the wings from the purple one. The glue for the grass is not quite dry yet, but I just wanted to get the photo session done with.
  9. Since she is topless, here are a few cropped pics and links to more pictures. Not so happy with how she turned out, but she is good enough for gaming! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnQkRMUnNuSWxsUTg/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnNFc0Ml9qVF9yOXc/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxncXprbkJHbUNHbjA/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxncWh1ZXdaTEJyV1E/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ZgOi70hDxnRm9UM2tMeVJfT2M/view?usp=sharing

    Fractured Dimensions Pazuzu OPDM08

Swear I've seen this guy in a monster manual but I can't remember where. Anyone?

    77308 Boar Demon

I was going for Ganon but he came out kind of flat. Too many minis to paint to go back to him. Maybe someone else can do better.
  12. So finished these guys up, a touch of Snakebite Leather on all the claws, followed by Bleached Bone. Their teeth goth Bleached Bone, followed by VMC Ivory. All those got a light touch of GW Devlin Mud. Bases are Secret Weapon, with different types of flocks, and some Silflor short weed tufts. My thanks to everyone that chimed in during my WiP! They would not look as good as they do without all your comments and help! Further comments welcome! George

    Hoardlings (Bones) (77335)

This week I completed the Hordlings set from the Bones II, Expansion I. I needed something quick and simple to do because I was traveling over Spring Break, so knew my painting time would be limited. Since there were three of these figures in the set, I decided to base up two of them for Frostgrave, to represent Minor Demons; and the third I based regularly for other Fantasy games. I just did quick tabletop paint jobs. I've been painting a bunch of dark and drab stuff lately, so it was nice to use some vibrant colors for a change! As always, C & C welcome.
  14. So here are the 3 Mortal Arrow / Fractured Dimensions Bar-Igura, (NO they are NOT regimental....) Again, nice crisp casts, no mold lines, a few small vents / feeders to remove.... Assembly a much easier on the one piece here vs the Barbed Devils. George

    02684 Frog Demon

    That's a ballsy rat!
  16. So, those of you who have paid any attention to Kickstarter in the past three years know that Brett Zeleznik and his Fractured Dimensions line of true-to-old-school-D&D demons and devils went pretty pear-shaped, but they did eventually deliver and most of the line is now available through Mortal Arrow. I backed the KS for one reason: the Vrock. I saw the sculpt for this sucker and fell in love. As long as I was picking that up, I got a few other things, including the Nalfeshnee. Sorry...these are Old Skool. These are the Type I and Type IV demons. Vrock/Type I: Nalfeshnee/Type IV: Relatively quick paint jobs, getting back into the swing. I'm pretty happy with the Vrock's wings...both minis could do with some more blending. C&C always welcome.
  17. I really have far too many miniatures. At least 20, and with a further 20 inbound from the 20 kickstarters I have backed the last few years. So for 2016 I will try to crank out those minis at an elevated pace, and chalk up an even 366 -one for each day - finished by the end of the year. Of course, this means that to avoid spamming the excellent Reaper forums with samey, production-line dross nobody really wants to see, I will not be posting each and every one done here even though the rpchallenge says I should. Instead I will post Reaper minis and maybe some other that I find interesting enough. The rest will get pictures linked to my rpchallenge monthly post for anybody who might be interested. From the Return of Valandor expansion to Dungeon Saga: In the story, this ancient and utterly evil demon has been raised in undeath by the Necromancer. The angelic Valandor, a legendary hero who once long ago fought this demon, appears to accompany the Heroes in a bid to banish this undead demon once and for all, saving the known world from some unthinkable fate. Or maybe not. I must confess to not actually having read the fluff yet...but I would wager a pretty penny the story goes along those lines. Maybe the heroes need to awaken Valandor for the boss fight against Bael at some point during the adventure. Valandor being a giant of a man, looking suspiciously like a wingless Basilean Elohi. At any rate, I like this mini. Bael is a good model to use as a Daemon Prince or even some undead monster. Bael the Undead Demon Dungeon Saga: Return of Valandor expansion Mantic Games Rigid PVC 50mm base

02895 Agramon, Pit Fiend of Doom!

This was an interesting one to paint. I painted Agramon around the same time as Vanja. I wanted to break up the monotony of color a bit from the standard art for the pit fiend, so I attempted a like charred and blackened skin in parts and the bony ridges. Made a rookie mistake and painted the fire backwards, haha, but hey.
  20. Another one from Mortal Arrow. He was fun.
  21. This is the Secret Sophie miniature I painted for Generic Fighter. I removed the wings so they didn't block as much of the mohawk. This guy was fun to paint, though I forget how much longer larger models take sometimes. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoy him!
  22. Grumpy Cave Bear

    77111: Rauthuros

It's been a while since I posted, but I'm liking this fellow enough to show off. He's not quite finished, but not a "work in progress", either. I was going to take a few photos to see if i missed anything before final assembly and varnishing, then decided to upload them to the forum. I drew inspiration for his color scheme from his concept art on p.23 of the Warlords first edition rule book. I've been working on him pretty steadily for over a month, and I now see the end. The weapons are an eclectic mix of metallic drybrushing on one weapon, and NMM painting on others. I was going to experiment with shading a weapon with NMM techniques, then glaze over it with a metallic paint. But when I finished the undercoat color, I liked it and decided i was done. Let me know what you think! EDIT: For spelling.
  23. I finished up the Bones 1 KS "Bedeviled" set this week with the completion of Vandorendra, Snake Demon. I enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with a non-caucasian, yet realistic skin tone, (as opposed to the blue, red, and green I've done recently). Photo is linked due to nudity. As always, C & C welcome. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p0izIXXhPi4/VqX3ncfI2wI/AAAAAAAAHnM/tddsBCrewx0/s1600/IMG_6174.jpg

    Tveirdraugr OPDM27 Mortal Arrow

Found this place by accident. They have a lot of demons from the original Monster Manual. This is a Type 2. Pretty cool. I was tired and phoned in the lava. Next time...
