  1. Another ReaperCon entry, and I'm pretty happy about how this one turned out! I wanted to pick up a Freeblades faction, and I went with Wood Elves, since my Frostgrave army is Dwarven. (Balance in all things!) The mini is from DGS Games, the paints are from Reaper, the base and pigments are from Secret Weapon, and the tufts are from Shadow's Edge.
  2. Friends! Here are 23 additional figures I painted in September. The results are largely for tabletop, or slightly better than tabletop quality. The Dreadmere Hunter was a free miniature at ReaperCon...I hated it but got it for my son, he loved it and his little 8-year-old heart decided that it was to be his DND ranger I also painted the Barrel Mimic which Galladoria Games gave away as a new attendee this year. I painted a DGS miniature named Jhenkar (a small version of the Neverending Story dragon). I also painted two Red Box Games miniatures, Derek the Dim and Hvitarnor (first time doing a 5-o'clock shadow). Lots of experimenting with TMM and NMM. Just having fun, trying things and enjoying making progress...
  3. <<<MOD>>> Link to the Live Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dgsgames/eclipse-sisterhood-freeblades-fantasy-miniatures?ref=category_newest From DGS Games, "We will launch the Eclipse Sisterhood kickstarter campaign on the afternoon of February 14th 2017. This project will produce the six core models of the faction: leader, caster, two heroes and two followers. And as many stretches as our fans help us reach! For the Traazorites, that was four models. Let's show the Empire these fierce women can do even better!"
  4. This is the Bodyguard (DGS Games SKU71318). No reason you cannot dress the way you like while guarding your employer...
  5. One of the last pieces I painted for 2016, a sarayad, or noble dryad from DGS Games. She is going to really surprise some PCs one day.
  6. I thought this was a cool figure and picked it up in one of the DGS kickstarters. She's got some fiddly spots but was generally a joy to paint.
  7. I whipped up a couple of really quick TableTop figures to represent my new Ranger PC (Leif) and his Wolf Companion (Daelas or Shadow Leaf in Elvish). Took me about 5 hours total for both figures and their bases. Bases are stamped with the new Happy Seppuku grasslands stamps and then I used some grass tufts to add more texture. Figures: The Ranger is from DGS Games - SKU: 101008 Forester of Falkaar, Material: Pewter The Wolf is the "Hunting Wolf" from Dark Sword Miniatures SKU: DSM7410, Sculptor: Jeff Grace, Material: Pewter I've painted up a few of my DGS figures so far that I got at ReaperCon last year and from one of their recent kickstarters, am really liking the line, very nicely cast, few mold lines and great details to work with! Of course, I'm also a huge fan of DSM and have also painted up quite a few of their figures.
  8. Sitting on my shelf of umm.. "opportunity" has been this really cool Bear from DGS games that I picked up at Reapercon 2015 at their vendor booth. Anyhow, we have a druid in my D&D group who likes to change into different large animals and creatures, hence why I put him on a large 2x2 inch base. I'll be doing some tabletop figures of each of these if for nothing else than to have some animals painted up for myself, but he can use them at the table to truly represent his character changing forms. Figure: Bear Form - Urdaggar: Tribes of Valor DGS Games SKU: 114013 C&C welcomed and appreciated, thanks for looking!
  9. And finally, my thirtheenth and last finished mini of November 2015, which is the Treespeaker (SKU 112004) from DGS games, modified to hold the Bones dragon familiar from Familiar Pack 77176 in her hand. The casting did not seem to be very good on this particular mini, the details seemed soft and almost non existant (I have not seen this to be the case with other DGS minis), and her face did not turn out that great. I tried a lot of different color schemes until I finally just decided to finish her.
  10. I had hoped to paint this up for Reapercon, but didn't have the time. Finished it last weekend during my paint binge.
  11. I wanted to paint something quick, so I decided to paint these 2 as desert sand creatures, less than 90 minutes for both (painting time, not including greenstuff and other basing time); Reaper Sand Woman (Chronoscope 50177) DGS Games Gadarl that I got from their first kickstarter:
