  1. Cool mini to paint. I think he has a Jason Mamoa vibe going on.
  2. This is my marid, one of the elemental scions.
  3. Aimed to do this one quick, but it begged me for more details and a nice base. Quite happy on the outcome, she deserves it
  4. I decided to start this instead of ziba until I can figure out assembly. Lots of base coats. I might have time to line tonight and touch up. The arm is actually still unattached. I will probably glue after lining/touch ups.
  5. This past week I painted the Djinni figure from the Fan Favorites set. When I first saw this figure in the Kickstarter, being a child of the 60's and 70's, the first image that flashed in my mind was Jeannie from the classic I Dream of Jeannie TV show. I knew that this was the color scheme I wanted to use on my Djinni figure. :) I made a couple changes to the figure. First, I separated the lamp portion of the integral base so I could mount it on a different base; and Second, I mounted the sword the correct way as it is shown in the concept art, not upside down and left-handed as the figure comes. Here's the write-up on my Bones Blog: Djinni Painting Article
  6. FIGURE...(AD&D - Grenadier # 105) Blister pack figure (circa 1985-86). I want to thank member araziel for helping identify this figure for me (since I had no data information on it). I tried to execute this entity as a semi-sinister character (not really friendly like the blue djinni in Sinbad)...so I tried to keep the facial expression stern and no nonsense (like...what do you want now...why are you bothering me?) More vintage figures are in the works...it is really great getting back to these older figures from yesteryear.
