  1. Hello All, Here is a metal Dark Heaven Legends 02506 "Rath, Dark Elf" I completed this week. Thank you for looking.
  2. Fantasy edgelord championship belt holders since the late 80s! .
  3. Her bendy blades lull her enemies into a false sense of security... .
  4. Here she is from my wip thread.....yep a DROW......
  5. On her I wanted to see how far I could lighten my drow skin with it still looking like a drow, don't know if I succeeded or not. I do know I picked the wrong model think yea alot of skin showing but after I did the skin and took a look at the armor I was at a complete lost on how to proceed.
  6. This one I just finished this morning...u guessed it.... a drow.
  7. Mortisha Adams? nope just a drow.
  8. OMG what's with me and drow nowadays.... this one I tried to stay true to the pathfinder fanart
  9. This is the last of the drow in the series, I tried to keep the cloaks the same as if the were a drow raiding party.
  10. drow, drow, drow....why is drow on my brain....
  11. Well finally got around to taking pics of my work for the last few months so I'll probably go post-happy for the next few days. She was one of my first that I did for the RCL that got me hooked into painting the drow race.
  12. I love me some weekend painting! Got another one from the 90's batch of Ral Partha's. This one is a Drow Elf. Was feeling like trying some of the darker skin tones after watching another RVE on it. Feels pretty good! BATTLE REPORT! Wins: * Skin combo: Black Brown, Black Red, Orange Red. Used in conjunction with one another. The highlights are still on the darker side, but you can still make out muscle and shape. Win! * Used copper/brown combo to bring this guy to life. Feels very warm, but still needs some kind of "pop" color somewhere. I tried to make that happen on the fletchings on the bolts, but feels like it needs more. * Gradient work on the weapon. I was trying to think of it radiating heat, since this is the underdark afterall. I wasn't able to pull off a glowing effect or OSL, but it seems like it works. * The face - getting the mustache, side burns, and eyes to really pop was fun. I feel VERY happy about the eyes. Misses: * Not wild about the accessories colors. * Questioning the color chosen for the sword. * Was messing around a few times on what parts were wood, metal, or otherwise on the crossbow. Meh. * Hair is still an area I struggle with. I did 3 layers on this one. Deep grey, light grey, white. I feel it comes out strong, but not super good on showing definition or volume in the hair. Always open to any feedback anyone has. I'm also curious to think of what kind of base to put this guy on. Any thoughts?
  13. I don't really like this sculpt, they've cut corners too much for my taste, but as I painted Drizzt it grew on me. Has some kind of charm and I like it now hope you will too! (click on the image for better quality)
  14. Hello everyone, here are pictures of a special NPC I painted last night. Originally an Aquatic Elf, I converted her to make her a Drow abjurator accompanied by her black fox. I slightly converted 03631, Quoralei from the original model sculpted by Derek Schubert for the Dark Heaven Legends line. I replaced the sea shell she was holding by a spellbook and added a wand in her left hand. The 60048, Fox familiar was sculpted by Julie Guthrie, it's originally the familiar of Feiya the Iconic Witch from the Pathfinder line.
  15. Continuing with my showcase of old Player Characters for Frostrun, we have Nox, the Drow Bard, represented by Astrid, Female Bard. Nox was a fun challenge and one of the few times that I played around with color palettes online, and tried out some test drawings to really decide on colors and patterns ahead of time. Settled on black and dark grey for the main colors, with red for pattern accents, and purple for a dash of flavor. I feel it lands properly in the category of a dark entertainer without reading too much like a Harley Quinn knock-off. Though the player she was designed for loves Harley so I'm sure the similarities were appreciated. Reverse side under the spoiler: Nox is a Drow Bard and a newcomer to Frostrun. Nox left behind her home in the Underdark to seek out a life of adventure and fame as a traveling entertainer, but soon found herself on the wrong side of the law. With nowhere else to go, Nox has turned towards Frostrun, the edge of civilization. A place where people are judged not by their past, but by their ability to survive. Unfortunately, a dark force has threatened her one chance at redemption. Will Nox rewrite the tale and come out a legend? Or will darkness have its way and leave her as a footnote in someone else's song? Read her story and check out the rest of the Frostrun project HERE.
  16. "Paizo" carved on the bottom, from the early 2000's. I don't know much more than that.
  17. This is my version of a Games workshop Aragorn. I didn't want to paint him as Aragorn since I have two of these same minis so I decide to go for a purple skinned, white haired drow ranger. I'm going to use him as a swordsman named Vigo in my Rangers of Shadowdeep games. This mini was a blast to paint, I like how the highlights turned out. Thanks for looking! Unpainted mini:
  18. This finally gave me something to use my larger Games Workshop skulls on. I may try to give his hair another highlight of something brighter, as it looks pretty dull at the moment. A fun evil mage that I hope to use as a boss battle one day.
  19. Lots of fun to paint. Nothing to glue. Fun, fun, fun! I love painting dark elves. I tried a little more modern skin tone this time. The previous ones I painted I gave them more of an old school look with some light purple to their skin.
  20. Happy Birthday o Most Magnificent Instructresses of Hot Chick Painting! The Drow
