  1. Here are some of the figures I painted in July. Here is Lonnia, female duelist. DHL #2981. Here is Edmund DuMond. DHL #2775. With his puffy shirt, he looked like a landsknecht to me. And here is Evalyn, female duelist. DHL #2801. And finally, Maria Roseblade. DHL #2645.
  2. One last figure from October, this was one of those 3 color challenges using pink, blue and yellow, IIRC. Black and white were also allowed.
  3. So my fellow players wanted to get Hero Forge custom characters, and as the only painter in the group I did them up. The bard was in metal, the other two in resin. My goodness are the surfaces rough and the detail shallow! I was a bit embarrassed to hand them over, but they really liked them - it was super important that the figure was exactly the design they wanted. It was an interesting bit of calibration for me and how to enjoy the imperfect. I think the barbarian came out the best and my favorite bit to paint was the violin.
  4. Some martial artists I painted back in November when I was laid up after surgery. The one on the far right is from Bones3 and doesn't have a number yet. He looked like a shadowy assassin type.
  5. From the 10033, Mouslings Heroes Boxed Set here's; 03529B, Fenimore the Mousling Archer sculpted by Gene Van Horne.

    FETCH!

Here's my entry in the summer painting contest. Hope you all enjoy it. I entered in the diorama category. Parts used: 02981: Lonnia, Female Duelist, sculpted by Gene Van Horne I don't know the dog monster's number, it's a 2002 Reaper piece. Either that or somebody named "RMI" :) Fantascape "Wyrdstone Mines" wm0009 base When I saw the duelist figure I immediately thought about doing something like this with her. I was glad I got an excuse to help motivate me to finish the piece! I chopped off the sword and replaced it with some chain for jewelry making. Painting loose chain is a pain! It chips off terribly. I sculpted a collar on the dog using grey stuff and hooked up the chain after it dried. Added a couple of layers of washes to the base and put on some flock to break up all the stone. I think I should have put more plants down.
  7. Painted this guy up over the last couple nights. This is my first ever major weapons modification using green stuff. I have attached the original sculpt picture from the Reaper Store. This guy just begged to be a duelist in my opinion, and thus a duelist was born. I tried to use a color palette that was both duelist flashy, but still retained some of that rogue, "I can hide and sneak real good like". I used green stuff to make the terrain of the base as well, and that in turn is resting on a square wooden base. C&C always welcome from any level of painter alike!
