  1. Today's work, trying to take a bite out of my pile of shame.
  2. In a recent campaign, my character was a dwarven bard...but it was decided he would be tone deaf.My idea of making him a beat-poet was quickly shot down, so I had to think of a different kind of performance. A moment of inspiration, some hacking of bits and attaching of Armorcast laser blasts, and thus was born my dwarf firedancer: "Imma dance!"
  3. Here is Uenthur. I thought I was going to be putting him on the table to play today, so it was kind of quicky paint job. I am happy with the way he came out. I used a limited color pallet, trying to really stay in the earth tones region. I gave him blonde hair (sort of) to go along with it. Overall, I feel like he's a solid piece for the amount of time I put into him. He looks really good at a distance, and that's a good thing. I need to keep him at least 24" from his foes! Also, if any has any suggestions on photo stuff, I could really use some help. I seem to be having an issue with some of the more subtle tones bleaching out, and it makes the mini look a bit off in the pictures. I am limited on space, so a lightbox is kind of out of the question. Specific bulb maybe? Uenthur Bloodmane, Apprentice Enchanter Here are the the Wizard and Apprentice together, with the construct. 4. This is going to be the leader of my Dwarven Warband for Frostgrave. His name is Bruendor Bloodmane, and he is the older brother of Norim Bloodmane (a D&D character I made some years ago). He will command the warbands of the Gulkendurge Clan of Dwarves, from the mountain mines of Ueragath. Overall, I am quite happy with how he is coming along. This was my first foray into using inks. They flow quite a bit differently than I am used to, but I feel pretty good for a first time. This is about an hour into the piece, not counting cutting out the base and priming. I am going for earth tones, but I haven't decided yet if I am going to use metallics or use NMM. The hammer is going to be steel, with a gold skull inlay (its already in the sculpt). I may end up making the stein gold as well. CAH
