  1. Howdy, I was inspired to do this... Eyebeast, Bat Demon wings, Giant Scorpion tail... Kev!
  2. I painted Reaper's Dee Dee Astro Girl from the Chronoscope Line, I put her on a resin base and used a little Scale 75 Moonstone Alchemy so it would appear as if she was searching for minerals. Then the Mindworms emerged! They were made from the eyestalks of the Bones Eyebeast. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/77837-50227-dee-dee-astro-girl-by-glitterwolf/&page=2
  3. It's been almost 10 years since I picked up a brush for the first time and to celebrate I repainted my very first sculpt/conversion. My NMM are getting better, but cloth continues to be my kryptonite. Also, I'm not sure how to get rid of the cross-eyed effect? Maybe the pupil is too tall? - Pat
  4. I created this monster from a mix of bones (eyebeast, mockingbeast, harpy, nightspectre, ape demon, bed,) hands from the kingdom death phoenix, sculpey, green stuff and plasticard. I have a WIP here. This was a great deal of fun to sculpt and involved a lot of scary background music to get me in the mood. As a kid, I had an overactive imagination, so I can completely empathize with the kid under the blankets. I even tried to fool the monster under my bed once by dropping a pillow off the back of the bed while I made a flying leap for the lightswitch by the door!
  5. Made my own Beholder (sculpting WIP:http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/67297-beholder/) and I can tell you, there's no way escaping it's ray of time consuming. Well it got finished at last, so here it is. Do you like it?
  6. This lovely pair came from CoolAliasHere. The texture on the eyebeast is great, and has different finishes on different areas. This will be my go to beast the next time I need one in a game, they are killers in any edititon although I havent seen the 5th ed or pathfinder versions yet. The dwarf will make a great NPC, I considered using him for my Adventure League dwarf fighter but I like showing off the figures I painted. Plus I really want to use the "Heroines in Sensible Shoes" from the KS, and it looks like I will have them in less than a month. anyway on to pictures!
  7. I'm currently doing a beholder cause I honestly didn't like the eyebeast so much (sorry, Reaper) and wouldn't afford the WOTC rarity one. My goal was to stick with the original 1st edition d&d illustration by maintaining an overall spherical shape, giving it scaly skin (not overdoing spikes and armor) and have the eyestalks wrinkled and belted. On the other hand I wanted it to look realistic and cool, having some actual anatomy. Also should the facial features follow the one-eyed concept in contrast to bifocal layout, e.g. I didn't want a nose or angry single eyebrow. It's abou
  8. After almost a year, a new miniature arises, it is a Eye Beast by Julie Guthrie (which I was happy surprised to find out a signature in the back). Take some liberty to learn a little about giant eyes with Ms Guthrie herself, and voilá! (it is a shame the varnish seems to not show in the pictures. I used matte for the boddy, and a gloss one for the eyes, this made them shinny and very cool). As always, critiques are welcomed and encouraged.
  9. SoI finished the mini part of this for the creature challenge, but no stats, so I'm not entering it. Still, have a look, and share your thoughts, and critiques.
  10. For the current challenge, I am working on a micro diorama featuring the space mouslings and mtal eyebeast. Comments and help eagerly accepted.
  11. Here is my submission for the current beauty pageant, a beholder who guard the Waters of Life. And here's the write up my hubby (mostly hubby) and I (I helped!) did for him: Name: Guardian of the Waters of Life (Guardian, for short) Stats Int: 22 AC: -2 Move: 18 HD: 20 Size: 10' Diameter Magic Resist: 60% THAC0: 5 No. of Attacks: 9 Damage: 7 attacks are eyestalks, effects are special; one attack is main eye, effect is special; last attack is bite, damage is 3d10 Special Attacks Eyestalk 1: Submissive Gaze, creatures of 5HD or less meeting this eye's gaze immediately an
