  1. Here is the last one from my January painting. This is the Father Christmas freebie, #1589. I got him in 2021, and finally got around to painting him. I wonder if that scroll in the case at his back is this year's version of The List?
  2. I actually bought 01589: Father Christmas two years ago, but I hadn't thought to slap paint on him until now. As I'm done teaching this semester, I had time to prime and paint this guy earlier this afternoon. Took me maybe three hours, which has gotta be some kind of personal best. I did chicken out on his eyes though. My brushes aren't super great and I didn't trust myself not to screw up the eyes/his face, so I didn't try them.
  3. Time was a little short to get this done before Christmas, but he is as done as he will get before tomorrow.
  4. I had originally wanted to paint this up as a Christmas present for my mother, but the hectic run-up to the holidays meant that I didn't get it done until about the 29th. He is quite possibly my favourite mini that I've painted so far, I'm very happy with how he turned out. The sack full of presents was a bit on the tedious side though, I had so many colours on my palette by the end of it. Comments and critiques welcome!
