Of the 5 Wrath of Ashardalon heroes I painted years ago, this one's my favorite. I love the sculpt...lots of opportunities for fun paint work.

A piece I did today in between working on a commission piece I have going. Excluding the priming, she has about 2-3 hours in her. My wife picked the colors to represent one of her characters from WarHammer Fantasy. She's a female Runecaster. This is also one of my favorite models. I tried to catch the expression in her face. The hammer and chisel are magic; hammer being cold steel, and the chisel being mithril. As always, C&C is welcomed! Thanks and enjoy! CAH

Bhelidain "Bhela" Kharandok She stood there, hammer at the ready and massive shield strapped to her arm effortlessly. Her father wanted to keep her safe and out of the fray, but she'd have none of it. She was just like him when he was younger, a warrior and a priest to the dwarf gods. Bhela was now adventuring with companions who had "questionable" scruples at best, she felt that she could help the elf lord who she followed and get him to change back to who he used to be... who she first looked up to as a lass... This was her calling, this was the way she had chosen. So I'd been working on these for a while now, but didn't post them because they were gifts for some folks and didn't want them to accidentally see them before they got them. First up is the Moe, Larry and Curly three stooges ogre from Ral Partha, the one that Partha was ordered to cease and desist producing because of using the stooges' images without permission. The next one is Ral the Caster, which was based off one of their casters back in the day. They also used that figure in a catalog or two to show size comparisons with other models. The last one is a female dwarf, to my knowledge probably their first female dwarf character, which was only released very briefly and there was never any photo of her in any catalog. She only showed up as a general line description in the catalog and soon ceased to be.... Anyhows, hope you all enjoy!
