  1. FIGURE...REAPER #03303 (Amazon with spear) COLLECTION...Amazon # 8...in my private amazon army collection Hope you like it...
  2. I painted up Maelee the Mechanic from Bombshell Babe for a small painting duel. It was like the Lysette Beauty contest in a way, but we either painted a Blonde, a Brunette or a Redhead. This is not the Kickstarter version, I purchased her from the store. On the advice of my husband, I painted her in pink. I've seen her painted by other people, but always in beige and my Hubby said "Babes don't wear beige. I'm a man listen to me, I know what I'm talking about."
  3. This is the (5th) completed fantasy vignette as listed on my (WIP) forum vignette projects posted on Oct. 2, 2013. VIGNETTE TITLE...FIFI; TENTACLE ATTACK... FIGURE...REAPER (# 50084)...Brigitte, Naughty French Maid... NOTE...There are no photos posted of this vignette here due to the fact that the figure is an exposed topless figure...and as all of you should know by now...I have no idea as to how to do links to an off site posting...It is posted on my FB album(s)...but to view these albums requires a submitted and approved by me (friend request) to/on my (FB) page. My (FB) address is [email protected] I am sorry that I am such a computer " idiot "...I think that it is a very cute & simple vignette! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=394466737323010&l=e7b838042c https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=394468023989548&l=c62f70df65 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=394468373989513&l=414448e8a3 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=394477763988574&l=ee230e7b41
  4. This is the (6th) completed vignette as listed on my (WIP) forum of fantasy vignette projects posted on Oct. 2, 2013. VIGNETTE TITLE...Sexy Space Girl On Red Planet... FIGURE...REAPER (# 50150)...Betty, Space Heroine... NOTE...I tried to make the vignette as barren as possible with the sexy space vixen standing on the barren rocky surface of the " red planet "...I did my best to portray/depict the martian dust on her black boots...but otherwise not too much wear on her hot pink suit. Hope that you like it. Catdancer...
  5. VIGNETTE TITLE...LARA, JUNGLE RELIC HUNTER... FEMALE FIGURE...HASSLEFREE (#HFA001)...Eve, Adventurer... NOTE...This is the (4th) fantasy vignette project as outlined in my (WIP) vignette projects for Oct/Nov 2013... FINISHED PRODUCT...This is the finished vignette product for the step-by-step (WIP) (Lara In The Jungle)...posted Sept. 13, 2013...After an extensive month long search of both retail markets and for trade postings which netted negative results in trying to find/locate the (Freebooter - Lara Croft) figure...I gave up and went ahead and finished this vignette using the Hasslefree figure. I hope you like the end results...even though I would have loved to have my first choice figure to finish this vignette.
  6. I'm still fairly new to this hobby, and I've decided that my impatience is harming my paint-jobs. I've therefore decided to jump on board Inarah's challenge and paint Lysette. I'm hoping people here can help analyse my process and identify why, precisely, I suck :) Just some shadow coats for now: Vallejo Yellow Olive, Auburn Shadow, Fair Shadow and Flesh Wash: The eyes aren't quite working for me at the moment. Any suggestions?
  7. Another mini for a player in the game I DM.
  8. This is the second mini that I have painted since getting back into it (I messed around with the craft a bit as a kid). I painted her to use as a character my wife and I rolled up, Peony Bangcutter, the barbarian hairstylist. I still have to figure out what to do for a base. I'd also like to go back and do some better highlighting for the skin. Critiques and feedback are welcome. The minis is: 03079: Nyree, Female Pit Fighter
  9. The Bones version of Lysette, painted for Inarah's 1st Reaper Beauty Pageant. WIP here
  10. PROJECT...This is a private vignette with a Lara Croft type female character in a jungle setting next to a foo dog statue. FEMALE FIGURE...(not pictured here)...Hasslefree (Eve) # HFA001 VIGNETTE...The vignette will be (2 3/4 x 4) inches...wooden base with ceiling tile vignette base. This is the progress after 2 days of solid work...selecting the right branches for the wooden trees...cutting and constructing the pictured jungle vegetation/plants...doing the foo dog statue and laying in the ivy leaves and moss growth. FOO DOG...Is a raw plaster statue casting (3" tall) that I picked up at a thrift store. FUTURE POSTINGS...I will post more photos of this project as I progress with it.
  11. AMAZON ARMY PRIVATE COLLECTION...This is the (7th) figure in my Amazon army. FIGURE...Reaper (# 03559)...Zala Natar, Huntress. Hope you like...
  12. FIGURES...I have finished figures # 5 & # 6 of my Amazon Army Private Collection. FIGURE # 5...Hasslefree (Gayle leaning on her spear) # HFH015 FIGURE # 6...Darksword (Elf Warrior) # DSM1164 Both of these figures contain nudity...so I can not post them here...for anyone interested in seeing them; they are posted on my FB page. If you are interested, please send a friend request to Paul Kristoff/Facebook. I have tried twice to paste my FB address here...but I have not been successful...Now you know why I refer to myself as a complete Computer Idiot.
  13. VIGNETTE TITLE...Apocalyptic Beauty in Rubble. FIGURE...Malifaux # WYR5020 (Hollow Waif) NOTE...There are so many modern day apocalyptic miniature figures in modern dress/garb...I wanted to do mine in a semi Steampunk-Victorian style of wardrobe. I figure that a girl can hunt/kill zombies and such all day long...but still look sexy and not like some combat grunt or corporate executive. It least that is my vision on the matter. Hope you like.
  14. AMAZON ARMY PRIVATE COLLECTION...This is the (4th) figure of my Amazon army. FIGURE...Citadel (Big Mama's Series - vintage figure)...Sorry, no SKU information. NOTE...This is the last figure that I will post for a while...have to wait till my ordered figures arrive...also, the next two that I am currently working on...can not be posted due to topless status...(Darksword Elf Warrior DSM 1164 and Hasslefree Gayle leaning on spear HFH015).
  15. AMAZON ARMY PRIVATE COLLECTION...This is the (3rd) figure of my Amazon army. FIGURE...Reaper (# 03406) Anjanis, Elf Druid.
  16. AMAZON ARMY PRIVATE COLLECTION...This is the (2nd) figure of my Amazon Army. FIGURE...REAPER (# 02528)...Kara, Female Archer.
  17. VIGNETTES...As an avid collector and painter of miniature figures...I work hard at trying to come up with cute vignettes...sometimes requiring the conjunction of two miniatures from different companies...I try to build pieces that are like a snapshot (telling a story)...Vignettes are my love and passion...BUT! AVID COLLECTOR...I am also an avid collector and painter of two series of miniature lines...(Amazon Female Warriors) and (Female Pirate Figures)...both of which I am working on as private collections in simple non-vignette pieces. After many long months, I have started working on my Amazon Female Warriors...this posting is the 1st such figure in my (private army)...I have just ordered 10 varied amazon female figures from varied companies and look forward to their arrival in a couple of weeks. I will post them as I finish each one...sorry to say that I will/can not post a number of them due to the fact that they are topless with exposed breasts and I do not want to cover them up (just for posting) because they look fantastic as they are cast. 1ST FIGURE...Reaper, Lorna The Huntress # 02476.
  18. One of my friends commissioned me to paint this for her. It's a mini from Paizo.com, she picked it up at gencon a few years back. This Link will take you to where you can get one for yourself if you desire it. Stock photo: I cut off the base...toughest base I've ever cut off...took me almost a day at work. I rebased and added a log for decoration.
  19. I've had this mini around for a few years now and finally decided to paint her once I was more comfortable pinning. I think she's one of the best pin jobs that I've done to date :) and I thought it was relatively easy :) i really enjoyed painting her. She's just an NPC for D&D so she didn't take but a few hours to paint. I have a queue of figures to paint so I wanted to get her done before I started on the others for an upcoming show. I used her as an experiment of sorts. One of the miniatures I'm painting is from Stormtroopers (Boudicea) and she has "fiery red hair". I concocted a mix for red hair and want to know what you all think of it? I highlighted it up to white, too, at the highest tips. Mix used: dark flesh (base coat) dark flesh + yellow + dab of titanium white (mid coat) dark flesh + yellow + titanium white (highlight) titanium white (brightest highlight) I then did a brown ink wash on it after it was all dry. The other experiment I used was with "snow effects" which I used sand as the material (I didn't have any snow effects on hand) and then painted that a very light gray-blue and then highlighted over with titanium white. I'm not sure how I like it, it's the first time I did it, but any recommendations on how to do it would be fantastic. I apologize that the photos are a little washed out, these are actually the second/third set I have taken after doing a black wash over the armor to bring out the lines more and then re-highlighting. I've highlighted most to white, but it's hard to see that in the photos. C&C welcome :D
  20. I'm currently painting "Boudicea" from Stormtrooper Miniatures. Love the piece thus far, and am trying to paint her as accurately as possible. In most of the artwork I have seen of her, she's got on an orange-red dress, which I mimic in the miniature itself. I've shaded it already before I start the next part of her dress, which is plaid-ish. Right now, though, it's in desperate need of a wash. My question is, what color should I use? I don't want to do red because I don't want the dress to appear red. Right now I'm leaning on brown.... but am definitely open to other thoughts and ideas. Please note that this is a WIP, so please feel free to share any pointers you could give in bettering her. The skin is NOT done, nor is her face, so please don't fear about that. Thanks!! Original artwork I'm basing her on: What I have so far: P.S. the images appear more reddish, but I assure you that her dress is closer to the orange-red in the picture. My photo-fu just stinks :)
  21. So I like working with metallics, and i needed more female dwarves for my collection, so this mini was an obvious buy. There's an incredible level of detail on this mini. Had to add smaller brushes to my collection so I could do the smaller bits justice. The face is better than my previous humanoids, but still not great. I also feel like the ink i used didn't stick to the silver very well. Still one of my favorite works.
  22. Hello fellow members. I need some information. I want to expand my harpy collection. A while back I saw a photo of (6) harpy miniatures...(4) were in flight poses with spread wings & (2) were ground based. The bodies were beautiful nude female form with the legs & feet becoming talons. Who makes/made these miniature & are they still available? I know it wasn't Reaper or Ral Partha (I have those in my collection already). Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
  23. Kryn the Red, from the STonehaven Dwarves line. Here she is basecoated. I put down the red and green first, and was worried that she'd turn into Mrs. Claus, but the yellow really helps break it up. I'm planning on putting gold metallic on much of what is now yellow. I also plan to highlight the crap out of her clothes - taking the red and green all the way to white to really emphasize the bright colors.
  24. I've got some scenic bases in the mail so I wanted to experiment with them before I use them on my winter exchange. I chopped off Michelle's broccoli base with a hobby knife then decided to replace her wobbly weapons with metal ones. I didn't have two matching swords so she gets sword and dagger instead. The sword was SOOO easy to mod. I just chopped off the old one, drilled straight through her hand with a drillbit about 1 size too small. I then used the bendy nature of Bones to my benefit and just wiggled it in there and through. The sword is held entirely by her rubber-band hands - there's not a drop of glue. The dagger was slightly more problematic because it had a pommel that was quite a bit bigger than the grip. I had to cut off the pommel (and promptly lost it), so I glued the original pommel back on. The dagger is secure as well - it might have a little bit of glue, but it's mostly friction as well. There's something weird/wrong with her right eye. Anyone else have this problem? There's zero chance I can fix the sculpt without ruining it, and I probably can't do good enough paint plastic surgery, so she might get an eye patch, or magical jewel-eye or something.
  25. When I started painting miniature figures about (10 months ago)...this was the (1st figure) that I painted (for my wife). It is also the (1st figure) in my private collection. The figure is from circa 1989 (Grenadier-Dragon Lords). The figure was a cute, but poor casting (female & cat cast as a single piece with very few details). Even though it is a poor quality miniature figure...I am still proud of it and my wife loves it.
