Another from Bombshell! Logging is a dangerous occupation. Lots of falling trees, sharp blades, bad weather...these are all part of the job. But there are OTHER hazards, too. Take care where you lay your axe--some areas of the forest are Off Limits. Spend long enough harvesting and culling and the local spirits learn how to do it too. Hopefully they have learned sustainable forestry rather than clear-cutting. (Group shot includes a Saproling, familiar, Spirit of the Forest, and Swamp Shambler.)

In the exchange thread it kinda sounded like Siri was challenging me to take better pictures than her. I don't have an actual light box, but today at least I do have the sun (Hello sun, nice of you to finally show up this month), so I snapped a few pics this afternoon. I left them a little larger than I normally do, so I'm sure you'll want to click on the resized images and bring them up in full detail. Thanks Siri! My Fall swap for Auberon! I painted my mini of this guy almost exactly one year ago, so I included a side by side photo. The base is the Corpse Field base from Secret Weapon [same base I used for my undead crab, Scuttlebones], with green stuff and some other embellishment The exposed wood on the legs has a lot of free hand painting, i tried to get a good photo

Since seeing the Bones Elementals as an add-on option, I have been plotting and planning my very own magma elemental! Whooo!!! Also since I got 2 sets, I'll probably do a traditional earth elemental to satisfy our Druid's tendency to hang around in wild shape... unless I can talk the DM into allowing a magma elemental... inspiration: Anyway- prepped figure by washing with soap and water and trimming mold lines. used sanding needles for hard to reach areas. Put on a basecoat of walnut brown (see- don't you just love walnut brown!?) and started in on some simple shading with blood red and saffron sunset. I originally intended to use carnage red but grabbed the wrong bottle. Oh well. Blood red it is! I intend to really make this guy glow. Anyone who wants to play is welcome! Elemental party time!
