  1. This was an excellent opportunity to practice some effects for marble. Also, a tip for anyone else working on this mini: if you have a dental tool or other means of prying, the water comes right out. I painted shiny metallic fish on the undersurface of the water and their shadows on the fountain. The wash on the water kind of obscures it though; next time maybe I'll put the blue-green tint on the fountain's bowl itself and leave the water clear. AP Bright Gold, some Reaper sample blue-green, and some Nihilakh Oxide got the statue taken care of. A Reaper sample of almost-flesh-tone-pink was
  2. Here is a foutain from Bones 4, painted, then forgotten on a shelf in my workshop... Water is epoxy resin with a drop of green ink and a drop of blue ink.

I did this as kind of an exercise in creating a verdigris effect on the spouting beasties, which I'm quite happy with. There is some Vallejo "Still Water" in the base of the fountain but it's hard to see in the pics. Comments are always welcome, thanks for looking!
  6. I am running Hoard of the Dragon Queen for my D&D players, and they faced off against Landerosa Cyanwrath, the half blue dragon warrior last session. I realized I didn't have a suitable mini so I speed painted a metal Reaper fig, the Gaan-Hor Warrior, to represent Cyanwrath. The Gaan-Hor is supposed to have wings but Cyanwrath doesn't have them so I did not attach the wings before painting him. I also had a new player join last session and he is going to play a silver dragonborn fighter. I used a prepainted mini for the first session but this weekend I painted up a Bones Dragonman Wa
