  1. Hadn't seen anything posted about this yet, but a week or so ago World's End announced a kickstarter for their post-apocalyptic skirmish game. From their FB page: We are proud to announce we will be launching the Kickstarter for the rulebook on March 8. Not only the rulebook, but limited edition miniatures, and other fun stuff. We plan on keeping it simple. Not going to promise the moon, but you can look forward to a great rulebook and some neato miniatures. We would also appreciate if folks can help spread the word! I don't have any experience with this game, but I've been of a mind to do some post-apoc gaming lately and this looks like it could fit the bill nicely. Seems to be heavily influenced by Fallout, Mad Max and the like. And we're live! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57306923/this-is-not-a-test-post-apocalyptic-skimirsh-ruleb/description

  3. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jrobinette/ophidian-2360-survival-of-the-fittest-strategic-ca Ophidian 2360: Survival of the Fittest is both a stand-alone game and an expansion, and can either be played by itself or with Ophidian 2350. It is a sequel game to the original Ophidian – as it contains the same core gameplay but adds all-new Gladiators, Minions and Pumps - 13 years later! All of this is accompanied by some of the original artists AND all new artists bringing this game to life in spectacular fashion. Ophidian is a Gladiator Combat Game where two to four players bring teams of Gladiators to the table and fight in the arena to establish a winner. This can be done by defeating your opponents, or by winning the favor of the crowd! This game features some fantastic art, engaging and unique gameplay, and is easy to learn. Ophidian is a game that rewards a player's skill more than nearly any other game on the market. This game is an Expandable Card Game, where you can customize your decks, but the distribution of cards is NOT randomized. The game will be available in pre-constructed decks. There are currently 4 varieties of decks, with more potentially unlocking via stretch goals. ----- I stumbled across this recently, and quite frankly it looks like fun. I'll probably back for a couple of decks, and probably do a "Games for the troops" pledge too.

  7. Hi everyone! I'm here to talk to you today about Era: Survival, Shades of Vengeance's latest game, which is now on Kickstarter! It was fully funded after just 4 days and we’d love to show you what we’re up to. We've got some great-looking art, and mechanics that really support the Survival feel of the game (running into combat is not always the best solution!). Of course, it would be also great if you wanted to step into the wonderful world that the Era Games offer and back the project! You can get a version of the game for just £3 in Digital Format (£9 in Physical). This "Player's Guide", or "Primer" contains the complete rules, full character creation, a selection of equipment for Level 1 Characters and a summary of the backstory. It gets better, though! The Backstory available is actually boosted by the Stretch Goals we're currently approaching (£1200-2400): for each Stretch Goal, we add new content on the website! We've already achieved 2 of them, so the book is getting better all the time! The complete Core Rulebook is at £30 for the Paperback and £40 for the Hardback! We’ve got loads more exciting stretch goals and wonderful rewards lined up! Just today, we've distributed downloadable digital versions of the Karma Cards to all current Backers! We've got loads more coming soon, so don't miss out! Even more important, though, is the RPG setting itself. A hundred years ago, someone set off a biological weapon... or did a parasite evolve? Honestly, no-one cares any more: all that matters is that it was infectious, converted people and animals into monsters and spread across the world of Gaia within a year. Humanity has survived, just barely. Some of us form small communities - walled towns and villages in defensible locations, prepared to fight off Infected when they get too close. Others have combined into Factions with a more long-term view, though the factions vary in their goals, from nihilistic views to hiding away in underground bunkers to attempting to eliminate the Infected entirely. The University of Planet is the most technologically advanced faction remaining on Gaia. Living underground in a bunker which they have held for over 100 years, they are a totally closed community, dedicated to producing a cure. Selective breeding and careful teaching has meant that the best scientists on Gaia can be found in Base 9, and the strongest warriors defend the gate from almost constant attack. Whispers are that they are close to a cure, but no-one outside of the University knows for sure! The Cult of Progression has one simple goal - ensure Humanity all becomes Infected. They believe that the Infection is a chance for Humans to achieve a higher form of existence, and that anyone lucky enough to become Infected is to be revered and envied. Well, the apocalypse takes all sorts, right? The Defenders are a group of nomadic warriors who roam Gaia fighting Infected, Raiders and attempting to save as many lives as possible. They are drawn from volunteers who want to prove themselves or defend their homes, and they are, together, believed to be the largest military force on Gaia. The Miners of the Old Brass Mine are a hardy bunch, who work night and day to salvage the remains of a great city, buried after the Cataclysm. They retrieve and restore technology, melt down metal for construction and sell whatever they don't need. Nihilists fear the Infection of Humanity beyond anything else, including death. They dedicate their lives to "saving" others from Infection. The Warlords of the Hi-Rise Slums fight over the only large concentration of resources ever found in that region of Gaia. The warlords themselves vary between controlling just one floor to whole buildings of the ruined monument to one man's dream of a better Gaia. In total, there are 14 Factions in Era: Survival and loads of locations... these are just a few of the exciting possibilities. We want to continue making innovative and fun Tabletop Roleplaying Games... And, to do that, we need your support. Are you willing to help? If so, check out our Kickstarter for Era: Survival!

  9. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1835446295/global-defence-forces-15mm-sci-fi-tabletop-miniatu 4 Welcome citizen! The world government has fallen! It falls to us to raise an army to protect and fight for our peace, democracy and freedom! Enlist and support the Global Defence Forces. Join today! At Slap Miniatures we're seeking the funds to hand craft a new range of 15mm (1/100) scale figures, with the retail copies cast as whole finished pieces in high quality pewter. There are two sets of figures on offer, both containing one piece pewter castings of 30 individually posed figures. So with your help in bringing this kickstarter to life there will be 60 uniquely posed figures to choose from. I feel this is important, making every soldier in your table top army look and feel like an individual. The most common soldier in all armies is the humble rifleman, so I've created 30 individually posed riflemen. Furthermore there will also be 30 individually posed 'specialists' to bolster the rifleman. Amongst the specialists there will be 6 different types of soldier armed with differing weaponry. 5 Rocket troopers, 5 Communication troopers, 5 grenadiers, 5 assault troopers, 5 snipers and 5 machine gunners. I've already made 1 of each of the 6 different types of specialists so you can see what they look like, with the rest to be made during the course of the kickstarter. There's also rucksacks available too! Who doesn't like those? Suitable for many 15mm figures I'd just like to explain why I've set the delivery date to July; March: Running the Kickstarter (and attempting to finish specialist figures before the kickstarter is over). April: Will have definitely finished the specialist figures. May: Figures sent off for casting and production. June: Packaging and posting of everyone's pledges. July: A spare month, just in case the moulds don't turn out correctly, figures need remastering or the casters are a little late. As for the Generals pledge, should anyone take one of the three on offer I shouldn't have any difficulty in finishing them when the time comes to ship everyone's pledges. You can probably tell there is a fair bit of leeway for me to finish sending out everyone's rewards. I'd expect to get everything sent out before July. However with the last kickstarter running late I do not wish to dissapoint anyone, including myself

I've only recently found the comic. It seems to be a beautifully drawn sorcerous steampunk world with some fairy tale background.

The nice lady that runs Arkham Bazaar has a short (week-long, almost over) Kickstarter for: Cthulhu Mythos Petroglyphs Interesting pictures of Call of Cthulhu props!... definitely worth looking at. I'm a regular CoC player that has pledged for previous Kickstarters she's done (including the CthulhuCon ones) and they've always been good quality and prompt.

  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/545820095/weird-war-i-savage-worlds Weird War II products have been around for a while - fighting the supernatural forces of the world and the Axis (or Allies, I suppose) at the same time. Now, Shane and PegInc bring us the First Weird War! Things not of this earth crawl through the corpse-choked mud of Flanders. Shapes beyond imagining shamble in the murky chlorine clouds that drift across the Ypres battlefield. Scaled things rise from the dark waters of the Pripet Marshes. Long-dead remains of criminals executed by Romans claw their way toward a sun they haven’t glimpsed in a thousand years. The world is at war...a war to end all wars. If you like Deadlands, but want a little less mad science and a little more horror, and want to take the Wild West out of that setting, this is for you! If you liked Weird War II but are sick of killing Wehrwolves and the vampire armies at Stalingrad, This is for you! War is Hell. The Weird Wars are hell on earth. And Beyond!
  21. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1840778752/manos-returns?ref=video About this project Produced by Jackey Neyman Jones, who played little Debbie in the B-movie classic "MANOS: The Hands of Fate," MANOS Returns is a tongue-in-cheek return to Valley Lodge. It follows a group of young would-be filmmakers who learn their favorite movie, “MANOS: The Hands of Fate,†is based on a true story. They set out to visit the site of the events that inspired the original and of course they find more than they bargained for. Thanks to Mystery Science Theater 3000, MANOS has become a pop culture phenomenon, gaining more and more fans as time goes on. We think it’s high time we found out what became of everyone at Valley Lodge, so we want to film MANOS Returns this summer, release it on DVD and have it ready to screen in time for MANOS’s 50th anniversary, November 15th, 2016. MANOS Returns will feature many of the characters from the original MANOS, but the tone is much lighter. Our writer had the inspiration that going in an almost camp-y direction, making the movie both horror and comedy, would be the best way to both honor the original and embrace all the reasons why people are still fascinated by it today. MANOS Returns is a sequel, yes, but one set in the not too distant past. Think of MANOS Returns as the irreverent grandkid of the original MANOS. MANOS Returns is coming from a place of affection and respect…..respect for what Hal Warren was trying to do, respect for the other people involved, and respect for the fans who love MANOS for all the reasons that it’s bad. The pure number of MANOS inspired projects, both attempted and successful, points to a need for this to happen. Clearly there’s something there people can’t leave alone. We’ve already cultivated a great support network for this project, but making a good movie takes money, there’s no way around that. Rental fees for equipment and locations, insurance, travel expenses, craft services and of course we’d love to be able to pay our cast and crew for their time…..it all adds up. This is where you come in. We're asking for your help to get the whole MANOS family back to Valley Lodge. For $24,000 (our base Kickstarter goal), in addition to the people already willing to help us with their time and resources, we can make a bare bones version of MANOS Returns. And for $55,000, we can make the sequel of our dreams, the movie we envisioned when we started talking about this project. None of the original cast or crew got paid for their involvement in “MANOS: The Hands of Fate.†One of our secondary goals with MANOS Returns is to involve as many members of the original production as we can, and pay them this time. Jackey Neyman Jones (little Debbie), Diane Mahree (long-suffering wife Maggie), Nicki Mathis (the original vocalist on the MANOS soundtrack) and of course, The Master himself, Tom Neyman…..we think they deserve to get something more than notoriety for their place in bad cinema history. And we need your help to make that happen. 10% of the funding from this campaign will go to Kickstarter fees. 10% to Pre-Production 40% to Production 20% to Post-Production 20% to Reward Fulfillment We are a small but mighty team of experienced indie filmmakers, producers and independent artists: Jackey Neyman Jones (producer, lead actor) - Her dad was The Master and she was little Debbie in "Manos: The Hands of Fate.†Jackey is now the only surviving cast or crew member willing to talk about the experience of being in the Worst Movie Ever. Jackey lives in the Great Northwest as a professional artist and is the author of "Growing Up With Manos: The Hands of Fate" to be released in March 2016. Jackey has been a special guest at numerous events like The El Paso Classic Film Festival, Hollywood Independent Film Festival, and Seattle’s Crypticon and has appeared in several film and theatrical projects. Tonjia Atomic (director, co-producer) - "There are women working in horror that are so talented it blows my mind. Tonjia Atomic is one of those women." - Jen and Sylvia Soska. Tonjia is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, musician, jeweler, and freelance writer. Her films range from the dark and disturbing to the light and comedic. She is best known for the films "Plain Devil," "Hobo with a Trash Can," and "Walking to Linas." Her writing has been featured in several online and print magazines. She's in the bands Duet To-It, Huh-Uh, and Filthy Issue. Her music has been featured in several films including "Bikini Gorilla" and "Scarewaves." Steve Foley (writer/editor, co-producer) - Steve, owner of Foley Video Productions, Inc. based in Tallahassee, FL, spent 17 years in broadcast television production before starting his own company in 1995. His recent film-related projects include post and effects on several short films and he is currently putting the finishing touches on a low budget horror anthology feature. In addition, Steve is working with the stars of cult film "Alien Factor" to produce DVD extras for the upcoming BluRay release. Joe Sherlock (Director of Photography, co-producer) - Joe is an award-winning filmmaker and a veteran of over 30 feature and anthology films. Joe’s extensive body of work includes "Drifter," "Bloodsucking Redneck Vampires" and "Twisted Fates," which have been screened across North America. His work as director of photography includes "Dead Ink," "The Evilmaker" and "Platoon of the Dead." Cult movie expert Joe Bob Briggs comments, "Drive-In Academy Award nominations for Joe Sherlock, the writer/director/composer/editor, for doing things the drive-in way." Also on board are cult-movie favorite George Stover ("Female Trouble," "Alien Factor") musician Cory Fujimori and puppeteer Rachel Jackson of "MANOS - The Hands of Felt." The MANOS Returns team developed very organically. Joe put Jackey and Steve together on a project. Steve said he’d love to take a crack at writing a proper MANOS sequel. Joe and Steve had both worked with Tonjia before and felt her camp/horror background was a perfect fit. Jackey looked around at a BBQ and saw her dad talking with Bryan Jennings, the son of the Sheriff in the original, and realized this was the time to do this project and these were the right people. The right group of talented people just fell together. We say it’s the will of MANOS and we’re kind of kidding, but we’re also kind of not. It's very strange how MANOS makes things happen, but we know enough by now to just go with it.

  25. Ultra Coins just launched on Kickstarter. It's a game for 2-8 players but has no dice and no game board. Players use solid brass, two inch coins, that they spin during a battle. Each coin has a different character and stats. Top artists have been commissioned to create stunning characters from fantasy, science fiction, and horror. Ultra Coins is easy to learn, but the game play is challenging and intense. The game can be played with a friend or a group. It’s a perfect game to play with younger gamers. The above photo is of the actual coins. For more information, please see our Kickstarter page. Thank you. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1719872687/ultra-coins
