  1. Here is the last piece of the army: an orc boss to lead the horde. The model is called Grumlok and Gazbag, and I believe it's based on a Warhammer Online model. As an extra, there is also a new ogre tyrant. I picked up this guy to lead my combined horde of greenskins and ogres.
  2. Howdy, Goblins just want to have fun... Kev!
  3. Howdy, Another little guy... Kev!
  4. Hello everyone. As I recently finished an orc squad, I’m now focusing on a goblin one. I’d like to share my progress with you. These will be used for tabletop gaming, in DnD campaigns I recently started DMing. They’re all reaper minis. On these pictures I had just removed the mold lines, glued the separate parts and put the priming on : - 03850: Armored Goblin Spearmen (2) (the smallest one) - 03462: Goblin Warriors (4) - 03777: Cave Goblin Archers (2) - 03838: Sakarat, Goblin Wizard
  5. Here's a big batch of miniatures, no common theme, that I finished recently. The "Eyedra" assembled as the more generic Hydra option, from "Dark Platypus Games". Thanks to the Reaper Box of Goodwill for this one. A Ral Partha "Dwarf Thief", more suited as a Gnome to modern scale, also acquired from the Box of Goodwill. To celebrate their return to 5E in "Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes", a Giff, 3D printed from designs from the wonderful DM Workshop. A Goblin Monk. I believe he's originally an Orcling from Foundry/Warmonger. Anot
  6. Have a lot of WIPs at the moment, last night was this Ogre and Goblin (just did the goblin while wash dried on the Ogre)
  7. Howdy, Game pieces need paint too... Kev!
  8. This came in a Reaper blister with Baron Tervin Blackshield. I could not find them in the reaper store, even under the limited models. I painted Baron Tervin about a year ago and finally got to Murgmo, who just looks like the nastiest goblin model I have ever seen. Pity there isn't more of him available.
  9. It has been a while, but I am back with another mini from Reaper. This time its a Blood Stone Gnome, which I tried to paint up as a goblin. Hope you all like it. Any C&c is welcomed.
  10. I batch painted these guys, they were just begging to be done as a group. It took longer than I expected for what amounts to a speedpaint, but I think the unified look was worth the grind. Im not super happy with the colors I chose, but once I had committed there was no going back. I do like the blue goblins, though. This year is shaping up to be "the year of the goblin" with all the goblins I have in my queue, so, their blue skin is nice variation. Blue goblins aren't often seen on the boards, and Ive always liked them (and I seem to recall buglips hating them ). The ogres are great
  11. I finally felt like I could sit at the painting desk yesterday, so I finished up this little group of 6 ancient goblins from Minifig’s first fantasy (Tolkien) range, sculpted around 1972. I’ve been spending effort on acquiring enough of these figures to stage a game for the past couple of years. Hopefully by 2019 sometime... As with any massed shield bearing troops, most of the effect comes from attention to the shields. Not much to see around back...
  12. I haven't posted much lately. Work and life have been busy. We have been playing Reign of Winter. The GM told me there would be some Snow Goblins. I thought these Bones Gremlins look a lot like Pathfinder Goblins, so I gave them a wintry paint scheme and some snowy bases. C&C Welcome
  13. Conversion post w Sculpt WIP WIP post. This was originally Bones #77202 that I'd ordered a while back and started sculpting on. Had gotten the sculpt finished a couple months ago between other projects, and have slowly been adding paint since. He's a bit on the dirty looking sode, which is alright as that's what I was going for. Wanted to give him a trail worn look. Added some more coloration and softened things up more than I had originally planned, but I think it worked out. Also, there's a faint detail of blood drops on the front of t
  14. Last night in an insomnia fueled start on the painting, I got to laying some basecoats on this conversion. Then a few color layers on the ground and sticks as well as the wolf's fur. Still a lot of work ahead on this one. Wont be picking it up again for a few weeks though. Will update post then. Original post in "Conversions" board (where you can see what I sculpted onto the Reaper Bones Warg)
  15. Okay so I dug around in the drawer and pulled out six unpainted bones that I got in my batch that I bought. I gave them all a thorough scrub with a brush and warm soapy water and a toothbrush. The ogre needed straightening up so I poured hot water over to readjust and then under cold to set. I attached all six using superglue to fender washer bases. I got this tip on you tube and have been sticking to it since I started this process. They are running out so I will look for an alternative afterwards. But these are good and solid and make a good base.
  16. Hello all! I can't believe that i've missed this forum so far! My name's Andrew Cothill and i'm trying to learn to sculpt miniatures in 3D (Zbrush). I've been at it for about 9 months now. I don't mind brutal crits so please feel free to tear into it and i'll try to taken them on board for my current WIP =) Here's the concept i was working from by the super talented Klaher Baklaher Here's a sketchfab link to the model too. It's heavily decimated to fit on the site https://sketchfab.com/models/8d870cf7fd1447759c4322b75c7fc201 Thanks for looking and have a good day!
  17. Okay gonna have another attempt at posting on here. This time I think I have found the right forum topic as last time I posted I think I may have put the pic in the wrong topic. I've tried to get the camera on a steady surface this time and snapped a goblin I just did while listening to my team lose 2-0 - so this kept my mind nicely elsewhere. I have tried to thin the paint a little this time and add a little highlight. I'm not too unhappy with this so I've jazzed up the base a little with some welsh slate and quarry dust again. It's not perfect but it's finished anyway.
  18. So, I'm getting close to finishing up this Project. Also, my olde thread for this was from before the Great PhotoBucket Fiasco. So I'm redoing this thread using my new Imgur account! Behold my Bad Paint Jobs and Despair!! Or Not;) First up the Ani-Pals! Dog I Dog III Dog IV Bare the Bear Companion Dawg the Ranger, "Leader" of the Ani-Pals! Sting the Pixie Rogue! Salle Goblin Sorceress! Kildrick the Dwarven Cleric! Gonna post
  19. May I present to you; Fewmaster Toede of the Dragon Lance Chronicles. Sorry, the pictures didn't turn out that well. But I'm quite happy with the paintjob. All kinds of C&C is very welcome.
  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/621743078/the-goblin-king-miniatures-set Text Link because picture is a bit too non-PG. This is a miniature set featuring the Goblin King being carried around by his burly orc goons, as he flaunts his girls and his gold. The set fits well into any 28mm heroic to 32mm fantasy miniature setting. This set can be easily be the center piece to any goblin army.
  21. Just finished a little deployed painting. I've been working on some fancier models off-and-on for about a month, so I wanted to do a no-pressure, tabletop-quality mini for fun. My photo options aren't the greatest, and the teal highlights on the black are largely washed out, but I still think he looks fairly presentable for tabletop.
  22. The moon has blotted out the sun, so my little gobbo pal here needed to light a torch. How does he look? I'm particularly curious about the lighting, since I haven't tried anything like this before. There were three more of him on the sprue, so any advice you can offer will definitely be put to practical use! Thanks, guys!
  23. Finished the last mini in the Bones 3 Ogre Command set. Here is the Ogre Chieftain. He doesn't have a squire to polish his armor and the goblins use spit and their loincloths so....his armor isn't in the best of shape. The shield on the back probably needs some battle damage but I hated to mess it up after I spent so much time getting it to look nice! Maybe he "found" it. So here are pictures of the Ogre Chieftain and a group shot at the end. (I need a large photo background!) I added a tutorial on how to do the rust effect.
