  1. These are the little standard bearers from Bones 3 Ogre Command set. I had considered adding bloody little handprints to the banner and then backed off because I wasn't sure. I think it turned out pretty well and I am really happy with their eyes! So here they are and a photo of them with the drummers because in my list 77567 says Goblin Standard Bearers and Musicians so I am guessing they are a set! C&C welcome!
  2. These are the goblin musicians from Bones 3. They are still a little shiny because it has been raining like mad here so they have not had their spritz of Dulcote. They have tiny little eyes but they were so fun to paint. I made the little stool goblin be rolling his eyes upwards. He hates his job. The drum carrier is pouting. You know how when you get a song stuck in your head? So does he! He also hates his job. The drummer LOVES his job and gleefully bangs on his drum all day! C&C welcome
  3. This is Miss Ogre 2017. Steve Harvey realized he made a mistake and that she actually came in second but when he tried to rectify the mistake, she ate him. I had such a good time painting her. I kept having Shrek flashbacks. First, "Get outta me swamp!" The Scottish accent made me want to attempt painting plaid. Then realizing that she is wearing two skirts because.....Ogres have layers! I considered giving her a tramp stamp, a beauty mark (her tusks are in the way), and platinum blonde hair. Maybe I will have to get another and do that on the next one. The little guy h
  4. Sticking a fork in this guy. It's sometimes disheartening how very much I still have to learn.
  5. Another recent project, some of the cave Goblins from The Hobbit's "Escape from Goblin Town" boxed set. I had been looking for a set after getting Nord Game's "Revenge of the Horde" 5E monster manual. Their obviously Peter Jackson inspired designs inspired me in turn: A friend is planning a move and trying to downsize his collection, so his "Escape from Goblin Town" became mine. Here's the first few: And a close-up. I may make them a bit more pallid: cave a.bmp
  6. Well this month I decided to join in the hangouts mini. Got started on mine tonight on the hangouts. Went with the green skin as all my other's I have are painted up as greenskins. I mostly base coated tonight during the hangout. Here is what I got accomplished.
  7. About this project Fantasy Football, is a tabletop game where two teams play an american football game against each other. The game is took in a fantasy world, home of legendary creatures like orcs, dwarves, elves, goblins etc. Usually, 28-32mm miniatures are used for this game, representing players on the field. Goal of the game is the touchdown, who makes the most wins! The game is played on a boxed playground. Main rule is: no-hold-barred, in fact players can try to wound and mutilate opponents to get an easier touchdown by reducing the
  8. Okay, this one has been sitting around for like foreever just primed, so I decided now that I have the Reaper LTPK, i'd start trying to finish him. I am pretty sure its a grenadier model, and that its a goblin:) but if someone else knows for sure, please let me know:)
  9. Been a while since I have been able to paint as work has been insane of late. GM asked me to find a goblin alchemist. Had a gremlin taxidermist from Mailfaux that worked perfect for what he wanted. Still trying work out how to do a saliva bubble and drool. Drool should be the easy one. From what I can work out NPC is meant to be some disgusting little thing who becomes a party member.
  10. Following up on last month's Shaman figure, this month we're moving onto the Commander figure! Tonight was simply glueing him to the cork and then giving him a basecoat of brown liner. I expect to paint him basically the same way as the shaman, so this should go pretty smoothly... *insert universe laughing at me here*
  11. First post on a reaper forum! I really enjoyed painting these little buggers. This was my first attempt at OSL. How can you not resist trying on these models! ...now for the bases.
  12. I finished the shaman off last night, and just finished taking some pictures.
  13. In spite of the fact that I haven't finished my Orc Druid, I decided tonight to get March's goblin shaman started. A couple of goblin troops snuck in as bodyguards... Nothing much but some brown liner and corks from the drow.
  14. So I have been working on this guy since the middle of April, and finished his base and final assembly tonight, So I give you The Hobgoblin Cheiftain & Death Chicken! I am taking many pictures to try and find flaws, as well as to solicit opinions as to the best way / angle / composition because Infamy miniatures is holding a painting contest for this figure, and I can only send them 6 pics. (PS if you have this mini, just entering the contest will net you a store voucher of 10 GBP! Entries by 30 June) I will likely post more pics when I get a better idea o
  15. So here's my Goblin Shaman, bare as the day he was cast. (And totally not an excuse to try out the new forum upload). No idea what I'm doing with this dood, so let's see where it goes.
  16. Posted 12 February 2017 - 10:25 PM We have reached a consensus for the March Mini... (sort off) Going with Chaos wolf's theme of building a warband is the following: Goblin Leader & Shaman Ben Siens In Metal In Bones This would give us an apprentice spell caster for March, and a Barbarian / warrior / knight for April.... Price is pretty nice in metal, but I realize some folks may already have the bones version..... I will be placing my order on Friday when the Trista mini comes out in metal Need the new Domor mini as well....
  17. Another Games Workshop mini, this time it's an Ork Mek with a Shokk Attack Gun, and he has a WIP thread here. A Shokk Attack Gun is basically a short range teleporter with a vacuum cleaner attached, Goblins get sucked up one end and beamed out the other, the aim being to get the Goblins to re-materialize inside your enemies and really ruin their day. Not normally a fan of Orks (or even Orcs), but I just loved all the mechanical gubbins and had a lot of fun painting him (plus I remembered not to completely assemble him before I started painting, which made things easier). As always,
  18. Just fancied doing a project thread for no particular reason. Still very much obsessed with Games Workshop minis at the moment, and this one in particular is a Big Mek Ork with a Shokk Attack Gun. (A Shokk Attack Gun is a short-range teleporter linked to an industrial strength vacuum. Goblins are sucked up at one end and beamed out of the other, the idea being to get them to re-materialize inside your enemies. Nothing is going to ruin someone's day like a panicked Goblin suddenly appearing in your stomach.) Haven't got too far yet:- Mini has been partially assembled (I prefer
  19. Someone created a thread for people's first and best minis. I am posting my first mini and my latest mini. This is a picture of a nameless goblin from Ral Partha, I am sure this is the first mini I ever painted. It came from a box set this is the only one to survive the years. When I painted it I didn't have any paints and I couldn't afford to buy any. I used ground up color pencils and water to make paint. It has been painted several times over the years, still looks ok. The other is Trista the white wolf. I used reaper paint on this one. No pencils this time. Enjoy.
  20. So I just finished playing Styx Master Of Shadows and I REALLY want to make a character in the future for an RPG based off of him. I am having trouble finding a miniature that is unique and similar to the main character Styx. Any help would be great. This guy is original. You'll understand if you play the game. Also, Side note from looking up photo for everyones reference, Styx Master of Shadows is a prequel to Of Orcs and Men. I also recommending playing Styx if you like Assassins Creed. The fighting mechanics are a bit annoying but once you get it is can be HIGHLY
  21. I've been painting up a few of my vintage pre-slotta Citadel goblins recently & I have lined up this Goblin Chieftain's Chariot (FTG13) for my next paint job. I thought it would be interesting to do it as a WIP so, here goes.... As you can see, there's quite a few pieces to assemble. It's not overly complicated but I'm definitely going to have to paint up all the pieces first then assemble them afterwards, this may prove a bit difficult as I can't exactly stick them on blue tack on an old paint pot for easy handling. The goblins have some really characterful sculpting to them
  22. Yes, the challenge insanity has gotten me, too. Just not quite as bad....I think. It's also a slightly different variety. I have 50 of these guys: Don't ask me why, I have no idea; I think they've been multiplying in the dark foot locker they were stored in. Anyway, the challenge I have set for myself is this: I will convert 49 of them so that no two are the same. That's right, I'm going to (hopefully) create a small horde of individualized mono-pose plastic goblins. I am going to leave 1 unconverted, for two reasons: 1) I will have an original figure to compare my conve
  23. Finished up Sluggort, a Darksword DiTerlizzi mini. The studio paintjob was green, but I thought I'd go with a more Caucasian skin tone, with a touch of jaundice and various other skin conditions. Sometimes, a goblin just needs to relax among the tall grass and wildflowers.
  24. Greetings! I finally finished my mini diorama featuring a classic Goblin Chieftain's Chariot (FTG13) citadel miniature from "the olden days". I had a lot of fun painting & creating this & I learned some new things along the way. If you would like to see how it was created, the WIP can be found here. Thanks for looking, comments & critiques are always welcome!
