  1. Another batch of Undead, this time from Johnny Borg Castings "Dungeon Monsters" Kickstarter. The horde: Dead Sonja: Halfling Skeleton: Skeletal Elf Ranger: Dwarf Zombie: Dwarf Skeleton: Goblin Skeleton: Zoblin: Orc Skeleton (with odd Mickey Mouse gloves): Zorc: Rattlin' Ratling: Rotting Ratling: A verminous duo: Undead Lizards: Skeletal Lizardfolk: Zombie Lizardfolk:
  2. So, I come before you with a Challenging Dilemma. I was Commissioned by a representative of the European branch of the D&D Minis Guild to provide a couple of prizes for their Championships in August, as well as a couple of minis needed by that individual for personal use. About a month ago, I was contacted by someone from the North American Branch to do the same thing for theirs! So, my dilemma is this, how do I do both groups justice in the time I have left? Due to Shipping times, I need the European items ready to go by late June at least. That means I'll have time to at least finish the
  3. Just finished this little bugger. Simple, tabletop-quality paintjob. As a goblin, it's a bit on the large side.
  4. OK folks, I need some help... As most of you know, I am going to enter this guy in the Infamy painting contest, and I would like to make the best showing I can, so here are a bunch of pics, please choose the ones you think show him off the best! (I can send 8 pics total....) So please choose your favorite 8 pics and help me decide! Thanks! George
  5. The Death Chicken Commences! I had a little time tonight, so I continued with Infamy Mini's One Shot Goblin Chieftain. First off, He is a big boy, so I am going to think of him as a Hobgoblin, instead of a goblin. (Sorry Buglips) He will have Orange skin, as all my Hobgoblins do... Secondly, this resin is very different from the other resin minis I have worked with, much softer and more flexible than the Forge World Iron Warriors Dreadnought I built, or Battlefront's resin vehicle bodies... It is Fragile as Hades! Ias I was slowly sawing the chicken's lower jaw off the sprue w
  6. So while nattering away on the Google Hangout that Guindyloo set up for the Memorial Day Painting Binge, He got finished.... I think he came out pretty good, nothing I would consider more than a high end Table Top.... Not really pleased with his eyes, but after the third or fourth repaint, I said to Hades with it.... WiP Here Thanks For Looking! George
  7. Another grouping of minis from the batch that suffered sealant malfunction, comes a grouping of ladies from the Sunkissed Vale, Dryads/Nymphs/Warrior Queens of the fungal persuasion. All are from Ganesha Games "Fightin' Fungi" line for "Song of Blades and Heroes" The Queen herself: An Amazon Fungus: The Mitkityad Forest Nymph: The entire growth: And a very confused Goblin, pulling rank for this and the Gobblydegook (Hey, it came in the same set!)
  8. The Heroines in Sensible Shoes Kickstarter was the first Oathsworn set I picked up, and I found them greatly inspiring. I tried out some new techniques; I flocked around the entire rim of the base due to their shape, and tried out a new method for fire. Not sure how I liked the end result on the fire, and I'll see how much flock lies on my shelves before I judge that. First, my favorite of the set, the Half-Orc Barbarian: The Human Fighter: A Wee Folk Rogue...she's billed as a Halfling, but I mean, c'mon, she's wearing shoes (sensible ones at that).
  9. So since I only had 3 main projects and the diorama going, I am starting something else! This is Maglubiyet, Chief Deity of Goblins and Hobgoblins, who made his first appearance in the old 'Deities and Demi-Gods' from AD&D first edition... Maglubiyet is described as a giant (11 feet tall), black-skinned goblin with flaming eyes, powerfully-muscled arms and sharp talons. He is said to wield a mighty coal-black battleaxe that constantly drips blood. The mini is pretty cool, nicely cast with few mold lines, one of which I found while doing the initial base coat, of course... S
  10. Here's some more of my old Citadel pre-slotta goblins which I have been painting this week. These are some goblin children (FTG12). Ahhhhh, aren't they cute, although the boy does look a little grumpy! The girl is carrying a little rag doll which I painted up to match her - kind of like a "(goblin) mini me". I've kept the bases as they are for the "old school" look on my display shelf. Thanks for looking!
  11. I've been painting up a few of my old Citadel pre-slotta goblins this week. First up is this female goblin (FTG11) who looks pretty scary, I'd imagine her goblin husband keeps a very low profile! I think there were various different weapon versions of this mini. I've kept the base as it is for an "old school" look on my display shelf. Thanks for looking!
  12. This week I finished up the Goblin Command pair from the Bones 2 Kickstarter, Expansion 1. Nothing fancy, just quick paint jobs to get them tabletop ready.
  13. With apologies for another "20" joke. So one day I saw ol' Raphael LaCroix, and I was rather taken with him. A gunslinging goblin! Go figure. My brain started plotting. I ordered me a Raphael when I saw him on sale. Then a while later I saw Ophelia and Rami on sale. I had to have them. Then I saw Pere Ravage. And the gang was about complete. Next session we have (next weekend, knock on wood), my players will be having an old-school showdown straight out of the talkies. A village's children have been kidnapped by savage, but oddly crafty, goblins who've come by guns, not altoget
  14. As done as it's getting. C&C welcome.
  15. Some of you may remember that last week I posted the result of an experiment I did to see if I cold paint one of the Pathfinder Goblin Pyros to make it look like a convincing Christmas Elf, to go with my Santa-themed Enchanter warband for Frostgrave: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/68561-pathfinder-goblin-pyro-as-santas-elf-89002-bones/ Well, I liked the results so much that this past week I was able to finish up the rest of the Elves I needed for my warband, and I'm happy with the results. They will represent four Thief-class soldiers Santa will use to help him gather treasure
  16. This week I experimented with painting up one of the Pathfinder Goblin Pyros to see how it would look painted up as one of Santa's Elves for my Santa-themed Enchanter warband for Frostgrave. I had planned a while back that I wanted to use Christmas elves to represent the four Thieves I had added to my Santa the Enchanter's warband; and had originally prepped four of the Victory Force Miniatures, Unarmed Christmas Elves to use in this role. Then forum-member Pippin suggested over on my Christmas Eve as Mrs Claus post that I possibly use Goblins to represnt Santa's elves. The idea buzz
  17. I was heavily inspired with Malefactus work and I wanted to paint a Goblin old style and sculpt / add some mushrooms. The Goblin is from Metal Magic ( now OOP). The Mushrooms , some are sculpted ( the larger and the round ones) and the pointy ones are Resin from Ristul's Market. My WIP for those interested. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/66981-goblin-with-mushrooms-metal-magic-by-xherman1964/?hl=bagpipe The little guy has just consumed some mushrooms for inspiration on his latest musical creation. I wonder if the other G
  18. Between my bigger projects ( Tuma and Stree Violence) I wanted to do something small. Heavily inspired by Malefactus his Last Hurrah Project, I wanted to do something wih mushrooms and Goblins. I had this little Goblin Musician from Metal Magic laying around since the 90's , about time right? He is a nice little guy with a bagpipe, I sculpted the base with Milliput and some mushrooms, and added some resin mushrooms from Ristul's Market. Based ... More to follow soon,
  19. And another batch that got hit at the end with project fatigue. There's some goofiness going on here that I should really have addressed, but... yeah. (I also should have been more careful not to cut off part of the one poor goblin's foot as I was trying to trim off the broccoli. ) This particular batch is intended for use as random grunts, and I'm still continuing my quest to get a bunch of stuff painted in a relative hurry as a way to speed up my overall painting. They were a lot of fun to paint and they're silly and remind me of a more bloodthirsty version of the goblins malefactus has bee
  20. Hello friends!!! Here is a little diorama I threw together for the Reaper Fan Contest that was being run on facebook. The goal was for a massive group of us to each produce a Ursula (Bones version) and have tons of participation to get everyone painting, to learn, and to see the various different iterations that could be thrown together. I couldn't just paint Ursula on the broccoli base, so I ended up with this small diorama because of texting with chaosscorpion and letting my imagination get the better of me. "Two matriarchs, each a leader by her own right, struggle for control of ter
  21. This little guy is from the Hell Dorado game. I'm not sure what he's supposed to be; I couldn't find him anywhere, I guess he's OOP. Anyway, I figure that he makes a pretty good goblin/imp/familiar. What do you think? Uh....blue goblin...Buglips isn't gonna be happy about this...
  22. I am looking for goblins to match the style of 03462: Goblin Warriors (4) by Bobby Jackson. Any ideas?
  23. So I keep working through all these wonderful little Partha figures, and here's my last one. Another goblin, this time an archer, sculpted by Tom Meier in the latter seventies probably. One of the other figures Ral Partha was releasing again on their Kickstarter campaign. Hopefully I was able to convey a bit of muted, dirty colors. Enjoy!
  24. Hiii ! My first mini from the new range : "Via Ludibunda" Original sculpt from Kev "Goblinmeister" Adams ^^, really fun collection !
  25. Another Dark Hold goblin from that KS. This was the last I had primed and ready, with his having missed out on the first batch. Thanks for looking!
