Sorry for posting this a day late...These are for the 2015 resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. So here goes: Three old lead Lizardmen by Harlequin Miniatures round off the year. I found some in the old stash some time ago. For some reason, I really like these minis, even though they are a bit rough in the details. Keeping it simple, done in much the same colour scheme as the Raptors I did earlier in the year. The shield on the smaller one is not the original for that model (which I could not find). Lizardmen (Warriors or something like that, these minis are likely from at least two different packs) Harlequin Miniatures lead metal 30mm bases
This year the minis I manage to paint will all count towards the resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. With the refurbishment of the old house complete and it now up for sale, I have at last some time to paint a miniature or two. It has been more than a month since I touched a brush smaller than two inches wide, and I have come to the conclusion that I utterly detest redecorating houses, especially everything that involves masking tape. You might have seen the legless raptor I did some weeks ago? Here is it's mother: The family resemblance is striking, this of course being because they are from the same series. Lizardmen by Harlequin Miniatures, made some time in the late nineties or early naughties. This one was originally a riding beast. I think it looks great on it's own. If ever a beast looked both intelligent and ready to kill without warning, this is certainly not your chicken-sized velociraptor... Actually making some time to get some painting done this week. Still, what few minis I actually get around to painting this month will all go into the resolutionary challenge total. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. I found this Raptor in one of the piles of old miniatures that are lying about the place, and I took mercy upon it, as it only had one leg. So I mounted it with some wire, slapped some plastic putty over that, and when painted, hid it in the bushes. Hiding slightly embarassing things in bushes is grossly underrated. ...I think it worked. I love these lizardmen raptors made by Harlequin Miniatures in the 90s. Still one of the better dinosaur-like sculpts out there. And there was a full line up of matching lizardmen, including larger raptors with riders. I made an army for "Raven", Harlequins battle game, with them back in the day. Maybe I'll dig them out of storage and rebase them for Kings of War or something. 30mm base, metal.
