  1. This was painted as my gift to @Talae for the Summer Exchange 2017. The criteria of interest was steampunk or water, with a demonstration of NMM. The Automaton fit the NMM criteria well, and is mostly steampunk, so I ran with in. The orange parts are supposed to be copper. This is the first time I've tried a NMM copper and used a Scale75 NMM set. Thoughts? Comments and Critiques welcome.
  2. It was requested that I begin a Work In Progress thread for this piece. I don’t normally do WIP threads, so if anyone is looking for more detail, let me know. This model represents a bunch of firsts for me. This is my first bust, first resin, first model airbrushed, and first attempt at zenithal priming. The model comes in 5 pieces: The base, neck, and back of the head are the bulk, followed by the face/muzzle, and left/right horns. The Queen makes the fifth piece. Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward. Each piece received a good wash in soapy water. When dry, I super-glued things together, but there were a couple gaps that needed to be taken care of. I didn’t take any pictures at this stage. The gap was where the face met the horns on each side. After the putty cured, I broke out the airbrush and gave it a coat of Vallejo Black surface primer, followed by a zenithal coat of Vallejo White. For the Queen, she has been mounted on a straight pin and cork. The model came with a hole pre-drilled in both Queen, and the dragon horn on which she sits. At this stage she has received the same zenithal primer coat, a single coat of MSP Tanned Shadow, and the eyes have been started. Just need to shape them back into looking like eyes. Comments and critiques welcome.
  3. My results form World Wide Miniatures day. Figure 1 of 3. This is actually the first GW model that I have painted. Not really sure how the colors relate to the standard color scheme, but I think this worked pretty well. Comments and Critiques welcome.
  4. Figure 2 of 3 from World Wide Miniatures Day 2017. Had fun with the shield on this guy. Wasn't really sure where I was going when I started. Pretty happy with the results. Comment and Critiques welcome.
  5. Figure 3 of 3 from World Wide Miniatures Day 2017 I started this one back in 2016 just before ReaperCon. When I say started, it was mostly just a base coat. So I blew the dust off and finished it up. Comments and Critiques welcome.
  6. Not quite Christmas in July, but this has been sitting on my desk for far too long. Comments and critiques welcome.
  7. Finished up another old school model. I've had this loose in a box for years. Lost Mini Wiki says it's from a Grenadier set called Wizards Room. but I have no memory of ever buying that. Both the summoning circle and the cauldron are from that set, but I'm not certain they were meant to go together. This was fun because I was able to use some colors that I don't use very often, and this is the first time I've done anything with OSL. I'm on the fence as to how well the OSL turned out. Some angles work well, other angles not so much. Comments and critiques welcome.
  8. Painted as a gift for the youngest offspring. Comments and & critiques welcome
  9. A little distraction that I've been working on for a while. It actually sat on the shelf primed and ready for quote a while before I decided to tackle it in full. I'm also trying out a new photo background. Seems to be helping. Comments and Critiques welcome.
  10. I was able to finish the remaining figures from the Talisman 4th Edition Core set. Here's the Troll
  11. I set off on this guy thinking it would have a woodsy color scheme. I'm not really sure how I evolved into the assassin-esque colors, but I like how it turned out. Comments and critiques welcome.
  12. I picked this guy up in an auction. Had never heard of the game Crucuble or the line of miniatures, but it was a big lot for a great price so I went for it. I was pleasantly surprised how cool this turned out to be. Comments and critique welcome.
  13. Abyssal Dwarf Gargoyle painted to the studio color scheme. Slight improvement in picture quality. C&C welcome.
  14. Painted for the 2017 Spring Exchange. Safely received by Jasper_the_2nd
  15. Started this one before the end of 2016. Decided to redo some parts for the cape.
  16. Here's another batch of Talisman 4th Edition mini's. These have been great models to practice on, but good grief the production quality is bad. Also still having trouble figuring out how to take decent pictures. Was having problems with them being too dark, now I'm going the other direction. Thief Monk Warrior Elf
  17. I'm in the process of moving and my photo box has been packed, so I have a few completed models that I haven't posted on yet. Here's the Talisman 4th Edition Priest.
