  1. My partner this time around was Clearman. He requested a heroic character painted heroically, and nothing says heroic quite like the word "Hellknight." Of course, I haven't actually played the adventure(s) that Pathfinder Hellknights appear in so maybe they are cuddly people. We'll say she just finished up a heroic day of undead slaying. Metals are TMM, which my camera hates, but I think I managed to get a few decent shots. For something different I painted the base using pigments rather than hobby paints. I used the wet method of applying them and the color shift is huge, so I
  2. This is a randomly painted mini for my first warband for Frostgrave: This one did not want to be photographed. None of the photos do it justice. Either too dark or too bright, the colours and gradients seem to dissappear whatever I do. *sigh*...The need to do something abouit a lightbox increases... At any rate, for this mini I played around with coloured washes and inks on top of very dark metal. I was going for a Darkly Colourful Evil kind of impression...I think it turned out ok, at least IRL, apart from the sword that for some reason I simply could not draw straight lines
  3. This is the first completed mini I'm sharing. I didn't do a WIP on him because he came together relatively quickly, and I've been painting a fair amount so I forgot to take pictures of him. Will work on doing better and doing WIPs for my other Bones II work. I decided that this guy would be one of my first since I ended up with 2 of him in my Core and I figured it would be good to practice on something I had 2 of (and soon 3 when our other Core set gets here). Anyways, I did a bugbear that's not worth showing first, and have a walking brain (Intellect Devourer) about 90% complete. Will be
  4. So I'm in the middle of working on 5 figures for my Pathfinder Group members, we are know collectively as The Queen's Hand. Stonehaven Gnomes (Mad Scientist & Thief) - Mr. Keen is the Alchemist and Shaddix is the mutated form, a single player uses both figures for his PC. It's a gnome alchemist who uses mutagens to change forms, so the Mad Scientist/Alchemist is the more reasonable half and the Thief/Mutated form is his crazy side. I'll be trying to add little bat wings to the Mad Scientist form as he's got those as a mutation as well. - EDIT - This character was made into a cohort, I
  5. I did this to practice a bit of speed painting. She took about 2-3 hours in total. She was seriously fun and I got to try out a bit more demi-metallics. I even used black metallic paint for her armor, with silver as a secondary color. An extremely fun sculpt to paint up
